Lisa made this beautiful slipcover for me by just sending her measurements and a picture of the sectional. She used a heavy denim 12 oz fabric so it would wash easily and wear nicely. She did all of this in less than 2 weeks. She is so sweet and great at keeping you posted on progress etc.
If you need an exceptional slipcover make of a high quality at a reasonable price and fast service you can contact Lisa at www.lharmondesign.com |
Just a few more pictures I took of this lovely slipcover. |
If you need a beautiful slipcover for any piece of furniture please contact Lisa. She has several different fabrics to choose from and her work is exceptional. |
I rest my case as to why I need a washable slipcover for my sectional!!!!!! I have a little friend that likes the couch better then her doggie bed!!!!!! I linked up to Faded Charm Cottages White Wednesday check it out. http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/2012/09/white-wedensday-170.html |
Looks so cute. So ready to get started on our adventure to Junk Bonanza!
ReplyDeleteSandy
Me Too!!!!! I can't wait to get junkin. Wooooooo Hooooooo!!!!!
Deletethese are fabulous!! I looked and looked last year for someone to make me slipcovers for two sofas. What I found was going to cost as much as new sofas so I ended up buying new. Never thought to look on etsy. wow! Such talent! How does someone make something like that with just measurements? I pinned these. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn I have to tell you Lisa is great. She had me take pictures of the sectional from all sides and then she sent back the pictures with lines marked on them for the exact measurements she would need. So I did that and she was able to make this from just that. She has the talent for sure that is why I said I would give her a shout out on my blog. I looked and looked too and thought that I would just be better to buy new because of the cost. We had just bought this sectional from Macy's a year ago and I could not see buying a new one but wanted a more cottage feel so I by a fluke actually found her on etsy and contacted her and well you can see the results. She was very reasonable and supplied all the material etc. I hope if anyone else needs something slipcovered they will contact her after seeing mine. She is amazing. Thanks for stopping by and the nice comments.

The couch looks wonderful! I love the ruffles and all that whiteness, just love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much. I am really loving the way this gives a cottage feel to my room.
DeleteWow...Lisa did an awesome job!! I love it...so pretty and perfect for you cottage style. Oh yes...I love it!!
ReplyDeleteCindy
Hi Cindy I know she did do an awesome job without having the actual piece of furniture. She was so reasonable too. I am so glad I did it it really makes a big statement in my cottage decor.
DeleteKris
Holy Moley! What a talented sewer Lisa is! Your slipcover is awesome :) What a perfect gift idea :)
ReplyDeleteSmiles, DianeM

DeleteKris
sweet. and love that old peely gate in background too.
ReplyDeleteblessings
barb
Thanks Barb. That old gate is actually a old barn door from a horse farm. I loved the character of that old thing and had to have it to hang over the sectional. I love these things with history that can be reloved!!!!
DeleteKris
FABULOUS! Looks so great!! I may have to use her talents to cover my old leather couch. Glad you did all the research for me:) You sound a lot like me....for my 10th anniversary, I'm asking for a new chicken coop...screw diamonds, my girls need a cottage!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at Junk Bonanza!
Anne
OMG!!!! Anne you crack me up!!!! I wish you guys were going so we could have hooked up. Maybe if they do the spring show. I have tons of all Lisa's samples of fabrics so I will give them to you the next time I see you at the shop. I love this 12 oz denim she uses it really is nice and does not wrinkle when you sit on it and I am hoping with the dog getting on the couch it will be able to be washed alot with being white. I think I have a screw loose to get white but that is what gives it the cottage look!!!!! She does a great job and is fast!!!!!! I am thinking of contacting her just to make me another set of cushion covers to have as back up. I guess I want to see how this washes first. It is funny how low maintence I am no jewels here just get me a slipcover!!!! Ha Ha!!!! I am a happy girl. I can't wait to leave tomorrow for Junk Bonanza!!!! Woooooooo Hooooooo Girls road trip!!!! Talk to you soon.

ReplyDeleteThanks Leena. I love this new transformation. I am so glad I did it. Lisa is amazing so if you or anyone else needs anything I would highly recommend her.
DeleteWhat a stunning transformation! It's gorgeous-she is so talented! Have a wonderful 'junkin' time. :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
Hi Susan It really is a sweet transformation. I am so glad I did it. I was hesitant about the white especially with my little doggie friend!!!! but Lisa has assured me this is totally washable. The white will show dirt but what doesn't!!!! Plus that was the only way I could get the cottage look in this room . How many girls can say they got a slipcover for their anniversary?!!!! Very romantic for me!!!!!! I love this gift. I am excited about leaving tomorrow for a Junkin good time in Minnesota. About a 7 hour drive from here in Chicago but I am sure it will all be worth it when we get there. I will try and post some pictures when I get back. Woooo Hoooo I am excited to go a Junkin!!!!!

♥Linsey
Hi Linsey OMG!!!! How great don't you just love how comfortable this sectional is that is why I did not want to have to get a new one to get the cottage look so I was so happy to find Lisa to make me the slipcover for it. Since I have a dog and a hubby that like to sprawl on the sectional I am glad this slip is washable!!!! Thanks for coming by. I am hoping over to check out your blog now.

JP thanks so much. I am glad you stopped by.

Kris, I'm so sorry to leave this legnthy comment!Ok, nothing like the last minute! So so sorry about that! Hopefully this email will help you for your trip home. This is what we do. I don't have much info as far as shop names or anything like that, but I can tell you which towns are worth a stop. After Junk Bonanza, on the way home, we headed down the river on the Minnesota side to Red Wing, Mn. We spend the night there, then got up in the morning and walk through town. There are a couple of resale like, shops. Also there is usually a Farmer's Market going on. After Red Wing, we head over the river on US 63, I think, to the Wisconsin side. We take State Road 35 down the river through Bay City ( I think that's the name), there is an antique shop there, and then to Stockholm, which is worth a stop, cute town, lots of shops. Also along the way is Pepin, stop at the Homemade Cafe if it's still around, cute place, great pie served on individual pedestals. Then we head back over the river to Minnesota again to drive through Winona, Mn. Beautiful old town, along the river and bluffs, which is where I went to College at St. Mary's. After Winona, we head down 61 to LaCrosse Wis, which is kinda a cool town, if you have the time. We then take 90 home. Hope that helps. No secret shops or stops along the way, just a bunch of really cute towns, in a beautiful setting! Oh, if you happen to drive by on the Wisconsin side, a farm with tents and pumpkins and such in the yard, stop and fill up for fall. Its very cheap and on the honor system, but make sure you have enough cash. We usually empty our pockets at this place, and fill in any gaps left in the car! Have a great time and safe trip!
ReplyDeleteHappy Junking!
Julie
Tattered Tiques
Julie Hi not to worry we are here in Shakopee and are going to the show in the morning. My friend Sandy mapped out alot of stops on the way back with what you had on your site and what she found on the internet so wooooo hooooo it should be a junkin good time.

Oh my! What an amazing job Lisa did! I absolutely love your couch and all it's shabby goodness and ruffles. So dreamy! I bet you just walk into the living room and stare at it. I love everything I see in the background, too. You have a lovely home and a very sweet husband. I would rather something for my home over jewelry anyday!
ReplyDelete~Shanon
Hi Shanon So glad you dropped by because I love your blog too. Love your living room. You can click on my cottage home at the top of the blog and see my home pictures. Thanks so much for coming by.

ReplyDeleteHi Lori,

Kris
Your dog and my cat must be kin! I have to move him over to sit down--in MY spot! I love these slip covers! Thank you so much for sharing the link with us. I've wanted white for my couch for over a year--thinking I'd get around to making them. Not! I'll be checking them out!
ReplyDeleteIt is funny how these little furry friends take things over in our homes!!!!! I love that these can be washed especially with my little friend thinking she is human and can sleep on the sectional!!!!!!
DeleteLove this, I too have been looking for someone to make a slipcover for my sectional. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie,
DeleteOMG!!!! By all means contact Lisa. You will not be disappointed. Please let her know you found out about her on my blog so she knows this helped her out. She is wonderful and you will be very happy. She will send you sample fabrics in the mail to pick from. I love this 12oz white denim she used for mine. So so nice and soft and thick for heavy use. Good luck.
Kris
Kris, Thank you for spreading the word. It's so nice to read all the wonderful comments about the slipcover. I'm happy to have been a part in transforming your beautiful cottage home and would love to do more projects like this. Love the ruffles, too. The perfect touch your room needed.
ReplyDeleteLisa you did an exceptional wonderful job. I wish everyone could just feel how soft this denim is and the pictures do not do this justice. I just love how this makes my whole room come together. I just cannot thank you enough. I am so thrilled.
DeleteKris
The couch looks perfect in the room! I can"t believe you found her on line. Lisa is going to have a lot of new work coming her way. You should be very proud of your talent in creating an enchanting room and entire cottage.
ReplyDeleteI got so lucky with her she did such a great job and was fast too. I am loving the sectional and how it came out. See you soon.

WoW! What a difference...it's gorgeous! I just love slipcovers, they are a must on every piece my furniture. I love being able to throw then in the wash and know that my furniture is CLEAN. I'm a no fuss kind of gal as well...buy me something like this and I would soar to the moon! Forget about diamonds...lol!
ReplyDeleteI am a low maintence girl. Give me a slipcover anytime over jewels!!!!! I am a neat freak too so I love that this slip can be washed especially since I have a little basset hound friend that thinks she is a person and likes to spread out on my sectional!!!! Lisa used a 12 oz denim and it is so soft and heavy duty for wear. It is like you fav jeans nice and soft but hold up to wear. I just love this slipcover and how great Lisa's work is. I added you to my blog list I love your blog too.
DeleteKris
absolutely gorgeous. Are the pillows from her shop too? found you through the Blissful whites party!
ReplyDeleteHi Denise,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming by now I have found you. Your blog is so great. I love the dresser and how you distressed it. Love it.
Actually the pillows are from two different places. The larger pillows are from Home Goods and are the DKNY brand. The smaller pillows are from www.cutepinkstuff.com. Cindy is the one from cute pink stuff that makes those pillows. Go to her site she has so many cute ones and she is fast to get them to you.
Thanks so much for coming by. I will be following you and your cute blog.
Kris
Love it, love it! In order to make my sofa white I had to garbage pick one, sofa, not slip cover! Yeah! It's the best sofa I ever owned! Avery expensive one. Down filled. All it needed was a good cleaning and some added foam. Like new!
ReplyDeleteYours is fantastic. Found you over at Blissful Whites.
Wow you got a down filled sofa in the garbage!!!! That is great. I love stories like yours. My motto is to rescue and relove something into your home so bravo for you. If you go to my post about reloving things into my home you will see what I mean. Thanks for coming by.

I love your blog and have you as one of my favs on my blog roll. I love the little christmas trees you did with bleach. I have a few of those green ones that I am going to try to make white like you did. What a great tip. Thanks for sharing that.
Kris
How much did it cost?
ReplyDeleteHi Noel,
DeleteIt was about 1100 for the sectional when for the whole slipcover and shipping. You can contact Lisa for different pricing on things depending on material etc. I love this because it is a 12 oz Denim and wears like jeans and gets softer with each wash. Love it. Hope that helps you.
