Junk Chic Cottage

It arrived yesterday and the hubby is loving his new chair.  As you know when we did the flip of rooms to give us more seating in our home I wanted to get a new recliner for the hubby.  So the hunt was on to find one that would go with the cottage and white decor but still be "manly" enough for the hubby.  Well we found one and I am loving it. My husband watch his hockey game last night and said it was really nice to have his own chair to relax in. That book decor on the little chippy stool is for pictures only!!!!! That is where his frosty beverage sits when he is reclining and watching TV.  Ha Ha!!

 I love the vintage feel this club recliner had and the worn leather look.  It was perfect when I saw it.  The true test was the hubs sitting in it and liking it.  The worn leather is so soft and feels like it has been broken in for years.  Like a pair of old comfortable shoes.   So I was so excited the hunt was over!!!!!

It was small enough to fit in the space but roomy enough so he could recline and be comfortable in it.

I really thought we were going to have to go with a wing back recliner so his head would be comfortable. I thought oh my where am I going to find a wing recliner that is not feminine?   Sometimes with club chairs you do not get the height in the back of the chair.  Well this one was taller than most club recliners so it worked perfectly.

The new hubby chair goes perfectly with my slip covered club chair.  I like that it gives a little masculinity to this shabby white cottage room.  Now I feel he can be just as comfy as I am in this room.  What do you think??
