A small Monday post.  I have been playing around with the top of my entertainment cabinet that holds our TV and I just can't seem to get it right.  Here is the before:

So I took some roses that I got from Hobby Lobby and made a swag/spray to go over the chalk board sign.  With some of my old chippy birdhouses on display up there too,  I thought maybe the roses and some greenery and nest gave would tie in with the birdhouses.  What do you think???

    I took a rose swag and white christmas lights and tie them together with lace and burlap ribbons. It looks so cool at night.

    Kris, It's so charming and like the others, I love the bird nest. (I have " found " bird nest all over my house). I bet an old shutter or window layered behind the sign would add even more interest and texture up there. :)

    I think the flowers look great! If you are like me you stare at a spot for hours..sometimes days.. until you tweak it to the point of what you feel is perfect :)

    I'm with Laura on the shutter idea...that was my thought and you probably have one, too. I just switched my mantle to white and added one, a few days later....just like Sandy said!
