I went to my one of my favorite shops yesterday Tattered Tiques and I found this sweet little bundle of chippy goodness. You know how I have a love affair with old chippy doors and this one was love at first sight. :) :) :)
This old door needed to come home with me. I have not figured out what I will do with her yet or where she will end up but I had to have her. So into my car she went. |
That's an amazing door in all of its chippy goodness! You have so many wonderful shops and flea markets in Illinois ~ I just may have to take a road trip soon!

Shut the front door! (hee hee) Another one? You are the Chippy Door Queen my dear! LOVE this one and it's skinny minnie shape. Looking forward to seeing where it ends up! :)
ReplyDeleteSo charming! What a great find!
ReplyDeleteI have such a fetish for old doors and this one is perfect chippy love! Looks great right where she stands! We are finishing our basement and I recently found an old green door at an antique mall to hang on the small pantry. I think I surprised the painters when I put tape on it saying "please don't paint". Like you, I love her just the way she is! Great find!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Love your door and look forward to seeing where you put it! It looks narrower than the usual door. Sun was shining but still a wee bit on the chilly side about an hour west of Chicago in IN. Nancy http://cozythymecottage.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeletel love your chippy door and how amazing that the original door plate and knob were attached.
ReplyDeleteThat door would have come home with me too, no doubt about it!! Everything about it is perfect.
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
I think I know what you need to do with the door. Get in the car and drive it out to California. Then you can help me hang it in place of the big mirror over my dresser.
ReplyDeleteI bought the paint for my dresser - Annie Sloan Greek Blue- but I am not looking forward to painting the mirror. I have been thinking that it is a spot where I could put a door sideways along the wall, add a mirror and some other fun bits. Your style is rubbing off on me.
What a perfect find Kris!! Oh I LOVE those old chippy door too! And you found the perfect one!
