Ladder????? Door????? |
Ok update I think I have found a perfect space for this door. |
I think I like the door in the back of my dining room leading out to the deck. Now I can leave the ladder in the living room. |
I thought I would share some pictures I took at the Flea Market. Here is the lovely Jennifer from http://www.jenniferrizzo.com/ |
Adorable little bistro table and chairs. I was thinking about this one for the garden this summer. Tooo cute. |
The lovely Julie Norkus she always has the sweetest treasures. |

Look at those sweet pinwheels. |
My girls from the Perfect Pear!!! Their both always smells so good because they sell these amazing candles that make everything smell so great. Look at that cute pillow!!http://theperfectpear2.blogspot.com/ |
Oh, what a fun Flea Market. I saw a lot of things I would like to take home.
ReplyDeleteI am no help because I like the door and the ladder both.
Perhaps you need to add on another room!
Carol,
ReplyDeleteIt is a good flea for sure. Love to go each month. I have my favorite booths I love to hit when I go. I am not sure on the door or ladder either I like both so there is my delimma!!!
I told the hubby I need another wall and he shook his head and walked away. I am thinking that is a no!!!!! Where is his sense of adventure already!!! Ha Ha!!! Have a great rest of the week end.
Kris
It looks fabulous - would love to go there!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the ladder there Kris - just because visually it's open and your eyes don't " stop " at the door - you'll have to build another wall I'm afraid! LMHO
Fun post!
Big hugs,
Suzan
I am kinda going there too. I think the ladder gives a more open feel to the room too. I just so love that door. I think I may be becoming a hoarder!!!! Ha Ha!!! I may try to do something with that door outside this summer. I just had to expose it to the elements outside. We will see!!! Thanks for your input. Have a great week end.
DeleteKris
Hi Kris, I thought when I saw it to try the ladder in front of the door, that way you can have your cake and eat it too! (Plus, I think it will look cute)
ReplyDeleteHi Kris,
ReplyDeleteI like the ladder better without a doubt! It looks like you had fun at the flea market... I love flea market shopping and can never get enough.
Blessings,
Amy Jo
Kris, I prefer the ladder gives the corner more of a open feeling. I think outside would be great and bring it in during winter months.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will find the perfect spot for your ladder.
Mary
I like both looks, how about layering the ladder over the door? Then you can enjoy them both at the same time:)
ReplyDeleteI miss going to Kane but I hate driving that far now LOL! So much around here. All my favorite dealers! It looked a bit chilly though.Oh yes I love those candles the PP sold.I am in there old space at the mall and I remember walking back there. The scent would draw you in LOL! Hmmmm I may have to start carrying those! I think the ladder looks better in that spot.I bet you could find another space inside or outside in your garden for that door :-) .It would be cute hanging from a ceiling too!

Anne
I think you have the perfect spot for both the ladder and the door.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait til the snow melts so the flea markets open up here.
Have a great week.
Great pictures, Kris! I see you found a solution to your dilemma; I was going to suggest leaning the ladder against the door and this way you'd be able to see both pieces.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy I tried that and it just did not look right so I did find a place to put the door in my dining room and now the ladder is back behind the chair. So I have both pieces in good spots for now!!!!
DeleteKris
Oh my goodness, the door with the flowers and boots! Just gorgeous, Kris! Pinning :)
ReplyDeleteJeanette
Thanks Jeanette. I am loving the door where I have it now. Thanks for pinning.
DeleteKris
You found the perfect spot for your door. The ladder needed to stay behind the chair. Something about the openness of the ladder looked so good in its spot. Oh we have fun, don't we??
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
Hi Mary Alice,
DeleteI thought after I did the post hey what about back by the dining room where I have some teacups hanging and sure enough love the door there better. My husband was just laughing as he went to the garage to get his tools to hang the door!!!!
I love change and I do love the ladder much better behind the chair it does seem more open and makes more sense.
Kris
The door is just perfect where you decided to put it! Love the boots and bench in front of it too. Nancy http://cozythymecottage.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteLove the door in your dining room...it looks like it was meant to be there!! So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great flea market. We don't have any here until next month.
hugs,
Cindy
LOVE LOVE LOVE the door in the dining room. I think that looks fantastic there. What a wonderful flea market you have there....wow! Hope you had a fantastic Sunday- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love where you decided to put that door--you are right the other spot looked better with the ladder. That door was such a find--I really like it :) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy,
DeleteI am loving this door in my dining room too. I am so happy I found a place for it. I like the ladder behind the chair it just feels more open in that corner with the ladder. I am wishing you a great week. It is pouring rain here today. I guess that is a good thing. April Showers instead of April Snow!!!!!
Kris
Love so much your narrow door ! Just the perfect size for my home !!
ReplyDeleteAs usual I love your styling.
xoxo from PARIS
Joëlle
Hi Joelle,
DeleteI wish I could send you a pretty skinny door like this one. Do you ever go to the fleas in Paris I hear they are pretty amazing. Someday I hope to make it across the ocean to Paris!!!
Kris
i just love what you've done with the cute door, kris! you have such wonderful shopping opportunities in your area--i wish indy would attract a few more. have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
DeleteI wish you lived closer you would love the Kane County Flea. That would be a hike for you to come this way!!!! I am surprised you do not have more flea down that way. I wish you a great week too.
Kris
I was going to offer to take that door off your hands and relieve you of the overbearing pressure to find a spot for it, but once again it looks like you found a great spot for it. How do you do it, find these fabulous doors and things, I mean? It's so perfect! I'm a trifle jealous of the flea market you got to go to. What wonderful displays they have. Gorgeous stuff to tempt those who love chippy charm. Glad you got to go, and thanks for taking photos!
ReplyDeleteLiz
Ha Ha Liz I bet you would have loved this door!!!!! It really is a cutie. I don't know what it is about me and door but gotta love them!!! We do have a pretty good flea market but I have noticed that is even getting pricey. I know you have some great garage sales that we don't really have around by me too much. I wish I could find some great garage sales around here. Have a great week.
DeleteKris
You definitely found a perfect spot for the door, so you can still enjoy the ladder where it is! That flea looks amazing!! :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
Hi Susan,
DeleteI do like the ladder back where I had it. Seems more open to me than the door there. Glad I could wrangle another wall somewhere in this house for the door. Terry was getting nervous I might ask him to build me a wall somewhere!!!!!! Hope you have a great week. How was Columbus did you find any treasures there???
Kris
I'm so glad that you found the perfect spot for your new door! I liked both it and the ladder behind your chair....I couldn't decide....I was frantic!!! Phew! Avoided that one, didn't we? I have actually carried a piece around my house before, wondering where to put it, so I understand what you were going through. I really love it in the dining room and the way you arranged it into a sweet vignette - you are so creative! I'm hoping to find some old doors at sales this year. I have some ideas brewing in my warped little head! Enjoy your warmer weather! xoxo, Leena
ReplyDeleteHi Leena,
DeleteHope all is well with you. Hope you had a great week end too. It is raining like crazy here but I guess that is a good sign Spring is staying.
I do love the door in the dining room. My hubby Terry was excited I found a wall to hang it on because for a while I think he was nervous I was going to want him to build me a new wall!!! He Hee!!! I do like the ladder better behind the chair it seems much more open to me. So for now (you know how I like to have change!) the ladder will stay behind the chair.
Have a great week.
Kris
You can send either one to me! I don't mind taking one off your hands to make room for the one you like the best. =D Seriousley , Janet =D
ReplyDeleteGlad I found your lovely blog via Jennifer Rizzo's blog.
ReplyDeleteI like kitty corner for the ladder.
Definitely the right decision to leave the ladder where it was, but I'm loving how you've styled your door now.
ReplyDeleteJudi in the UK
Thanks Judi. I am loving the new place for it in my dining room. Have a great week.
DeleteKris
I can see from the comments that most of us like the ladder where it is. lol That photo really shows your wall colour off well (do you remember what paint your used?) You HAVE to get that Bistro set! It is perfect for your garden. Thank you a million times for the flea photos. I am so desperate to go, none here until mid June. :(
ReplyDelete*Smiles*
Hi Pamela,
DeleteThe wall color is called toasted almond by Behr. It is a light cream and tan. Just a soft color of beige. Have a great week.
Kris
it is perfect where you ended up with it. =)
ReplyDeletecute pics too.

I definitely like the ladder behind the chair and the new spot for the door. I haven't been to the Kane Co. Flea Market in a few years. I need to go this year! I met Jen R. at the Midwest Blogger's meet-up last month. She's a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the door and your touch once again is just beautiful! I think you found the perfect spot and I love those flowers in the basket on it. I have been to Michaels looking for similar flowers in white, but haven't found them yet. I wanted them for my mailbox copy from your's that I made. Thanks for inspiring me and thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt was so great to see you this weekend! I love the door!!!! It's awesome and perfect for that space!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the perfect spot for the door.Love your photos - so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day and congratulations on your Anniversary.
Hugs,
Marie
I had no doubt you'd find the perfect spot for that cute door! It's such a unique size too :)
ReplyDeleteThe flea looked like lots of fun...I almost went on Sunday, but decided to get some project done instead of buying more stuff! ;)
Kris you found the perfect spot for that adorable chippy door and your ladder can stay in it's perfect home! I wish that we had more flea markets around here, I need to reach out and find more after seeing your beautiful pics and all the goodies! Loved that sweet little bistro! I'm a sucker for them and have 2 and LOVE them both... one can never have too many, can they?!
