Great reminder of what's to come. I remember your chair from last year, and how comfortable it looks. It's the perfect spot to fall asleep reading a good book on a warm summer day :)
ReplyDeleteHang in there . . . warm weather is just around the corner.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Soo pretty Kris. Luv the way you include your luv for chippy architectural pieces outside as well.
ReplyDeleteAs I sit and listen to the birds chirp outside the sun room, I wish you a fast leave of the winter doldrums and a speedy spring and warmth!
Hugs, Gee
Hi Gee,
DeleteI can't wait to open the windows and have the birds singing and a light warm breeze coming in. Ohhhhh it's been tooo long!
Kris
LOVE your yard and cottagey junk and your chair has my name on it!! So many pretty things to look at in your yard - and not just the flowers! Snow is forecast for us tonight. :( Come on spring!!!
ReplyDeleteYikes more snow!!!! Wow they are saying no snow anymore but some cold temps at night for the next few nights and then it is suppose to get close to 60 by Saturday. Wooooo Hooooo I want to fling open my windows so badly!!!! I started Spring cleaning and lost steam without being able to open windows I can't get motivated. I got two rooms done and did the windows and blinds and baseboards just to prove to myself I am out of shape and old!!!!! You can come on that chair anytime. I love that chair. It is comfy and so relaxing to just sit out there. I can't wait. Have a great week.

Oh Kris - what a little Garden of Eden you've created - I can picture myself there on a sweltering day ( dreaming of sweltering, can you imagine? maybe because it feels like it's never going to happen? ) with a glass of lemonade and a home and garden magazine!
ReplyDeleteI miss my garden desperately ( we downsized and don't have one anymore )
DESPERATELY!
I'll have to live through your photos this summer I suppose!
Hugs,
Suzan
I do park it out on that lounge chair in the summer and read and just soak up sun. I hope I will see this garden again some day soon!!!! I am so over winter and need some nice sunshine and weather so I can plant and start my flowers. It is a pain watering all of those flowers but I love it. Everyday I am out there with hose in hand keeping those babies alive and pretty. Oh I can't wait.

Kris-Your gardens last year were just beautiful and I love your deck. What IS that fabric on your lounger? I just love it!!!! Old man winter is still breathing here, too. UGH!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHi Diana,
DeleteI am so tired of old man winter too!!! He needs to leave!!! I bought that chair cover from a company called http://www.springgardn.com/. They make all kinds of slipcovers for chairs. Hope you have a great week.
Kris
I'm with ya! I can't wait for warm weather and gardens! Your garden is just dreamy. Your deck looks like the perfect place to hang out with a glass of lemonade....hint hint.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Hi Julie,
DeleteYou are welcome to hang out anytime on the deck with me!!!! I think we may have to fight each other for the lounge chair!!!!! Hope to see you soon.
Kris
Kris, your yard is so beautiful! If mine looked like that, I would never be indoors, and I am NOT an outdoors girl. Hugs, Debi
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness--your outside is as beautiful and appealing as the inside of your house! It looks lovely. I so enjoy your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy. I really am hoping to have that yard looking pretty soon. I am such a summer girl.
DeleteKris
SO gorgeous, Kris! The old fire engine truck is too cute! :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
I love the cover on your "little chair/lounger" on the deck..did you make this??? you gave ma an idea!!...I have one that needs some work..love all your ideas!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I did not make this I got it from http://www.springgardn.com/ It might be better to make one on your own she is very pricey with those. I wish I could sew so I did not have to purchase mine. So if you can sew go for it.
DeleteKris
Kris, We were up there last Mother's Day and my son's back gardens were just gorgeous. So, in just a few short weeks I know your yard will look just like it does in all the gorgeous photos you shared with us today. Such a sweet cottage romantic feel to it. It belongs in a magazine. xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn you are the sweetest. Last year we had 80 degree temps for three weeks starting in March and April was gorgeous too not so much this year. I am hoping by Mother's Day this year to at least get some flowers in. Today is going to be 60 the problem is that the crazy weather will not stay warm!!!!
DeleteKris
Everything is so beautiful that you do. I especially love the painted porch rail that says "Stop and smell the roses". Blessings
ReplyDeleteyou do have some gorgeous pics to hold you over until the weather turns around, kris! my very favorite is your beautiful ruffled chaise--i need one this year, i think:) tfs!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
DeleteIf you can sew then make this I got mine on line and they are pricey!!!! Ohhhh how I wish I could sew.
Kris
HI Again,
ReplyDeletewow, love your yard and all those flowers. I love the way you use interesting things like
the childs fire engine to put your flowers in..............adds so much interest to your
garden. Very lovely place and bet you like to spend lots of time out there enjoying it as well, as tending it.
Hope you get some spring weather soon hon,
Blessings galore,
Nellie
I hope this weather changes soon. Today they are saying 60 which is great the problem is that this crazy weather does not stay warm. Thanks Nellie for coming by.

I am wanting to make an umbrella flower arrangement like yours. I FOUND the perfect umbrella, just lying on the road while out for a walk. Just need some inspiration and the flowers now.
ReplyDeleteI hate to tell you, but we have had the best spring weather here. Sunshine and warm temps for over a week now. Wish I could send you some.
*Smiles*
Hi Kris
ReplyDeleteI don't know whether seeing your garden pics has made me feel more hopeful of spring being just around the corner, or put me into a bout of depression as it's busy snowing here in the UK!!
Your garden is as beautiful as your home, and I absolutely adore the little fire truck which is obviously appropriate to your husband's work, it looks gorgeous with the flowers peeking out of it.
Judi
Kris, these pictures are so gorgeous! I think I may have even pinned a few of them last year! Your flowers and little vignettes are adorable and I really feel your spring fever pain! Our temps are gradually moving upward and I have my eye on this weekend to get outside and "play". I sute hope that spring comes your way soon and you can get back outside and enjoy playing in the dirt! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, Kris! I love that table outside the shed and all the little pretty items holding flowers. So sweet and so much to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteLiz
Your beautiful garden from last year gave me such a boost this morning. We had a large tree cut down earlier this week, and my yard looks like a cyclone hit it! Your lovely post reminded me it's not permanent. Your deck chair looks so comfy; hope you're sitting in it again soon.
