If I could find the perfect little vintage trailer I may reconsider camping and become a glamper!!!! I really want to find one of these little sweet cans of yummyness to put in my backyard to fix up cute. Until then I thought I would share some pictures of some that got away from me or are hopefully in my future.

Well until I find my dream trailer and become a Happy Camper. I can look at all the inspiration on pinterest. Hope you all had a great Holiday week end and I wish you a great start to the new week ahead. Kris :) |
Oh, I miss camping, but don't think I could sleep on the ground ever again. But, I would love any of those cute trailers.
ReplyDeleteI read about a spot in Arizona where instead of cottages, everyone rents a trailer all "glamped" out.
Thanks for the fun eye candy.
Carol,
DeleteI am so not a camper. My idea of camping is the Hampton Inn with comfy beds, air conditioner and no bugs!!!! But I would really love to have one of these for my back yard and I might even consider a junking trip with it.
Kris
so so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi Debra,
DeleteSince I do not have a cute sun room on my house like yours I would love to find one of these to park in my backyard to have like a little sun room to fix up cute.
Kris
These things are all the rage right now. So cute. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Marty,
DeleteSince they are all the rage they are hard to come by. I keep looking. Almost had my hands on one a couple of weeks ago but before I could go look at it, it sold. :( I am hopeful to find one someday.
Kris
Ok, this definitely made me smile - love your collection of photos - they're Pinterest- board ready, as one board of their own!
ReplyDeleteRita
They are all pinned on my cute trailer board. I want one so much. I am hoping to find one soon.
DeleteKris
It would be so much fun to have one of these. I might even consider camping if I had one. They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
DeleteI know I am certainly not a camper but I am considering it if I ever get one of these cuties!!!!!!! Have a great Sunday.
Kris
I love them all! For the back yard tho...actually camping in most of them is not practical! Makes me wanna go looking for one myself!!
ReplyDeleteThey are the adorable when fixed up. I hope I find one someday.
DeleteKris
Wow, Kris! I'm all for 'glamping' if it looks like this!! Gotta love another space to decorate :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
Ha Ha Susan. Glamping never looked so good. I would love to find one of these cuties to put in my backyard. I can glamp away out there and if a bug comes or it is too hot I can run into the house!!!!!!!!
DeleteKris
They are all just darling. You could turn one into your studio, a place to go write your blog posts and just enjoy its loveliness
ReplyDeleteOh Dawn wouldn't that be great to have one for a creative space. You have the land my dear so maybe you should think about one of these!!!!!! I could see you fixing so cute.
DeleteKris
Oh my!! Glam indeed.
ReplyDeleteI am NOT a camper. I was not made to be without air conditioning and good quality sheets, running water......
We tried the camping thing. Oh no Thank you. Now we cruise and vacation at nice hotels across the country with lots of niceties.
But one of these would make a cute addition to a back garden all dolled up. A refuge.. I hear ya Kris!!
Happy Sunday.
Hugs, Gee
Hi Gee,
DeleteI am right there with you. I like clean running water a great shower and comfy beds too. I just think one of these dolled up in my backyard would be such a hoot. Someday I hope.
Kris
I'm forwarding this post to our oldest daughter. They own a 1950's camper that they camp in with their 2 year old and 6 month old baby! I'm sure you'll find one of your own to glam up!
ReplyDeleteI sold my 1956 Aljo trailer 20 years ago. I have been sorry ever since. I just hope some sweet lady is happy to have it!
ReplyDeleteWOW, those were AWESOME! Sure gives me the BUG! Not sure if I would really have one, but it is FUN to see them all dolled up!
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
deb
Okay Kris...if you get one of these cuties...then you must come down to the gulf coast to visit me:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
Darling images!
ReplyDeletei've never been camping, but, these are so darling, i want one! tfs, kris:)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Kris. Would love to have one of those little darlings! Just in my back yard to use as a get away spot. When I "camp" I need a little more room, that's why I love my MOHO. But you can't make those bigger ones look as cute! And that's what it's all about, isn't it. Actually we had a 17 foot Aristocrat trailer back when the kids were small that I'd give my eye teeth for now. Had the aqua interior. Too Cute!..Happy Weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteThese are just too cute! Would make a nice backyard guest house except I am a wimp and would want air conditioning! I am sure when you find yours it will look adorable! Nancy
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy,
DeleteThey are really cute and I would have to have air conditioning in mine too.
Kris
Such pretty inspiration Kris!Hmmm not much for camping either but they are very pretty!

ReplyDeleteAnd people are picking these up for a song!

I'm with you, Kris. They just seem to get away. Everyone has gotten to all of them ahead of us. But oh, what a lot of cute decorating they have done. So many people have paved the way with style to give us ideas. One day...
ReplyDeleteLiz
Happy Monday Hon! Aren't those just the cutest things? I've wanted one in my yard forever! I think it comes from not having a playhouse when I was a kid. Who knows? Have you read the book "Sisters on the Fly"? I think you'd really like it. It's all about the group of the same name, all women, who glamp all over with their little trailers. They fly fish, ride horses, cook out doors, have happy hours, just sounds like so much fun! Last I looked, there were over 3,000 members! The book is written by Irene Rawlins, she has a page on face book and is so sweet. It has great stories, photos, tips of purchasing a camper, what to watch out for, how to refurbish and decorate, even recipes for food and those all important glamping cocktails! I think the idea sounds like so much fun and yes, I'd need a cute matching old truck too! I'm thinking pink, or course! Thanks for sharing your collection of pins - love them! Have a great day! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteI KNEW something was up. I am following your Pinterest and saw all the pins you are making lately. So I suspected you were up to something. lol
ReplyDelete*Smiles*
Adorable! I see so many of them here in SC. When I was in Austin, there was a Airstream that was turned into a little cupcake stand. It was adorable....something I would love to have here in SC!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
Hi Kris,
ReplyDeleteI want one so bad as well. I fell in love with one that the owner of Ruby Begonia's in Morris was selling! It was a vintage Shasta painted black and white and all cottaged up on the inside! Did you happen to see it? It was on her blog as well. It turned out our SUV couldn't tow the weight of it so that was a no go! It would have been perfect for a guest cottage at the lake also! uggghhhh!
Erin
OMG Kris, these are so adorable! I can't pick a favorite but the ones with all the white just makes them feel so calm and easy to relax in and they have a sense of coolness. I think the white makes them feel very light and airy. I am not a camper at all, I need the AC and indoor plumbing. I can see myself hanging out in these for sure. Great post!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
We have a camper about the size of the one being pulled by little green truck and it looks inside kitchen area like the one with aqua and white.
ReplyDeleteOur Ford Ranger pulls it to the state park about 7 1/2 miles away but would need a heavier vehicle to haul any distance.
I love our little trailer but hubs not able to set it up anymore and we can't afford the campsite fees anymore. Want to buy it? We live in western CO, about 18 miles west of Grand Junction, CO. It has storage over the table area which makes into a bed and the bed is up front where it's a couch. There's no bathroom but we put a porta potty in it for me. The door is in the back end.
I love it and wanted to fix it up like ones you showed but it was hubs trailer so it got western curtains. Let me know what you think @: FurryKidzPaperworx@gmail.com I'd love somebody like you to buy it not some ornery old hunter.
How fun!
ReplyDeleteone day I would like to go glamping ♥
ReplyDeleteI have a motorhome and I love it,,,so much fun to decorate,,,,,I have a nice setup where I am and have a storage room right next to motorhome so I can do my art work,,everyone is so amazed to see my place,,,want to take a look???

ReplyDeleteHI!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all these trailers! I have a quick question, we are going to make over a vintage trailer and I especially love all the light fixtures...
This is what I am wondering about... do people put in regular home style light fixtures? anyone have any tips on how to go about that? I found some info on the forums and from what I am seeing you can use home fixtures you just use the special 12v light bulbs... I am just hoping to get some advise from someone who actually did it.
Thanks!
Kerri
I am inspired by the sunroom off the glamper. We just started rehabbing Wanda, our '81 Sunline this summer. She has an awning that would lend itself well to some curtains and a makeshift sunroom. I have to give that some serious thought. If you'd like to see our initial attempt at glamping our new/old camper, you can read about our efforts at wanderlustvintagepopupshop.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteKris, love your post!! I noticed you are from Lake Zurich. I grew up there! It was a sweet little town when I lived there in the 60's. Downtown was all that was there, but it had a grocery store (IGA), drug store, schools,a pizza parlor and the lake! I went to Seth Paine Elem. School (which was destroyed in the 60's tornado.) I moved to Alabama in 1970, but remember my little village fondly.. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. You would not recognize Lake Zurich now. It is grown! Lots of suburbs now. I was subbing in the school as a nurse at Seth Paine. Sweet smaller school of all the schools. We just moved from Lake Zurich. I miss that sweet town.
DeleteThanks for your visit.
Kris
If I could find the perfect little vintage trailer I may reconsider camping and become a glamper!!!! I really want to find one of these little sweet ... trcamper.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHey all. I know this is an old post but I was in the same boat.I could not find a camper that was to my liking that wasn't a million $$$$ Recently a friend referred me to someone who customizes them and she is way reasonable! She just set up a website but def. worth taking a peek.
