Here are a few pictures to share with all of you from out trip.
We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Just a beautiful resort. |
One of the little greeters at the hotel. |
The most beautiful beaches. |
Beautiful waters. The hues of blue in the ocean were so pretty. |
Diamond Head |
It is amazing what can come out of Lava and Rock. |
Our view from the balcony of our room. |
One of the 6 beautiful pools in the resort. This one is right off the beach. |
Our reserved chairs on the beach!!! Heaven. |
One of the neighborhoods. The homes are right on top of each other and are built up but who cares when you get to wake up on this beautiful island each day. |
They had the cutest little places to have lunch and dinner on the island. |
We took a tour at the Dole Plantation. The Gardens were gorgeous. |
I love the Bird of Paradise plant. The flowers do look like little birds. |
There are over 200 varieties of pineapples. I did not know that!!!!! |
They just grow right out of the ground. It takes 15 months for a pineapple to get to it's full potential before it is harvested. |
Ha! Ha! my husband Terry as a Dole Pineapple. |
Here are my in laws. My father in law is a stitch and so much fun to travel with. |
Terry and I hiding in a pineapple patch. It was fun taking advantage of the props!!!!!! |
They also grow chocolate and coffee on the Dole Plantation. |
Kris- I know it is kind of weird but I really MISSED you while you were away! lol What a fun, fun trip! I can't believe how beautiful it is. I have never wanted to go to Hawaii because of the long plane trip. I can see that it is probably worth it. I can't wait to see what you are up to now that you are home. I took the day off from Ruth's house (week four)...just really needed a down day to catch up on some things.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home!! xo Diana
How fun!!
ReplyDeleteThe last family vacation we took was also w/ the in laws to the Caribbean. They are such fun to travel with and we have done quite a few cruises with them over the years. The 3 generations (them, us and our kids) have such fun together.
Luvly photos Kris.
Vacation laundry ... the worst!
Hugs, Gee
Hi Gee,
DeleteIt was so much fun. The plane ride there was 9 hours, 8 hours home but it was totally worth it. I loved every minute in Paradise. Now I am going from the beautiful mountains of Hawaii to the mountains of vacation laundry!!!!!! It is amazing what two people can get dirty in one week!!!!!! Have a great week.
Kris
I have been waiting for pictures.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time. I haven't been to Oahu in 30 years other than to change planes. It is a beautiful spot with warm water and yummy food.

ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you to have been able to holiday in Hawaii, my brother and his family live in Hawaii he is a contractor and has lived here now about 28 years now!
ReplyDeleteI could have had my brother show you guys some sites as well, he has done this for friends of mine, if I had known you were going to visit. I love Hawaii but, truly I am not as much as a tropical girl as I am an urban girl, I love the cottage industry a little more so I hit the home town beaches her in southern Calif or Nothern Calif, where I grew up most of my teens and young adult years.
Plus it's the great shops here in Calif that I can't stay out of :)
It looks like you got a little golden colour to your face Kris, if not well your coloring is healthy looking :)
Thank you sweet friend for stopping by, it truly is a joy to share my whites and grey's with you.
I also sent off my editorial to you know who along with extra photos as she requested, will see how the out come turns out and how the photos of her choice work out.
I hate to write about myself, I always blog about inspiring pieces in my hunt or found pieces I have painted.
This was a bit different for me...yikes! To then write that many words at once geeezes :))
Well, will wait to see how it all turns out, I did read all about you in A/B were you so excited to see yourself so out there for all to inspire by? It was soft and so pretty.
Well Kris, I am off to do some reading to then nod-off, another day of work and creating :)
Will love to see what's next in your posting.
Keep inspiring your beauty.
Xx

Welcome home, Kris. I'm one of your followers and glad you've shared these pictures with us. Makes me wanna go see it for myself. I'm growing two pineapples right now ! The original was the top of one brought back from Hawaii by a friend years ago. They are smaller than what you can buy at the store, but they are much sweeter ! Can't wait for them to be ready...probably later this summer. Did you bring one home ? Grow it, they're fun.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home!! Beautiful pictures of an amazing place :)
