Christmas Mantel

Happy Holidays everyone.  They are coming upon us quickly.

 I decided to do a little post on my mantel so I could join in the fun over at Pamela's 3rd Annual Christmas Mantel Party.

    This is just so lovely and kind of ethereal! The mantle itself is gorgeous, and so full of character...then all the pretties just elevate it to such beauty. Love love love!

    Woooow!! I is so beautiful! It has a cathedral feel to it! I've never seen anything like it! The chandelier is a unique and wonderful touch!

    Absolutely gorgeous - typical junk chic cottage. You know, you blog title is deceptive because there is nothing "junk" about your lovely decor.

    I do have a question. I see so many beautiful homes with faux mantels. I could not live without fires in my fireplace in the winter. When we visited friends in Minnesota we commented on their lack of a fireplace in an older home. They said most of the homes in their area did not have fireplaces. That just doesn't make sense to a Californian who stays warm in winter with a fire. Do you have a fireplace, do you use it, are they common in Illinois?

    Gorgeous…I love how you stacked the stools in front of the fireplace…the architectural pieces above the mantel and below are fabulous!!…So very serene and beautiful.

    * sigh* Love it! The one thing we didn't get in our new home was a fireplace... I still can! Thanks for sharing your BEAUTIFUL faux fireplace, I have to get out and find special architecture pieces and try it! You are sooooo creative and have a wonderful sense of style!
