I like to mix my chippy pieces with the natural Christmas greens. The little Christmas tree in the old butter bucket on the chippy chair. |
Front Room decorated for Chippy White Christmas. |
Each armoire door has a chippy sconce with Christmas greens and my vintage cherubs. |
Corner of living room with Chippy post and christmas greens. |

Old vintage window up close with Joy sign and hearts cut out with old metal salvage and chandelier crystals |
I added my new angel my husband got me this year for Christmas. Cathy from Cheswick Company on Etsy makes the beautiful Angel I got last year and this is the newest addition. She is one of a kind and hand made. Cathy uses vintage christening gowns and this pretty little vintage sweater. I just love her angels. You can see the angel Grace I got from Cathy last year on the bench in the front entry picture above. |
It is always so hard to get a good picture in a big window like this without an expensive camera and lens. This angel is so sweet and looks so pretty in my snow wreath. |
Old white chippy sled with vintage skates. |
My little cherub arrangement I got in a shop in Geneva. I added some of the glitter roses and believe sign to the arrangement. |
The mantel looks pretty at night with the Luminary candles that flicker and glow like a real candle. I love these candles they have a timer and they look and smell like real candles burning. |
Finally my Christmas Tree. |
Here is a side view of my tree with the french doors. |
I love this old martin birdhouse I have had for a long time. Got this at an estate sale years ago and the hubby mounted it on an old porch post for me. |
Here is my tree lite up. It is hard to get a good picture with all the lights but it really is pretty lite at night. My favorite Christmas decor is my tree at night. |
Here are some up close shots of the tree to give a better idea of how pretty this tree is lite up. |
My tree consists of mostly angel ornaments I have collected through the years. All white and crystal. |
Here is a shot of the bottom of the tree so you can see the old wash bucket I painted white to put the tree in this year.
I love the chandelier ornaments that hang in this tree. Give a pretty bling to my angel tree. There you have it Junk Chic Cottage done up this year for Christmas. I cut back on my decor this year and wanted to keep it simple and just touches of chippy, shabby Christmas throughout my house. Now onto baking, wrapping presents and doing random acts of kindness to help celebrate what this season is about. Hope your decorating is going great and you are having fun getting the house decorated for the season.
Merry Christmas.

I am in love with your tree! I saw a small teaser that you posted a few weeks ago and have waited so patiently on seeing it in all of it's Glory. Absolutely beautiful!!! But then again, so is everything else. You make me want to chuck everything out and start over again. The white is perfect with the touches of green and all of the crystal. I love it all Kris!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melanie. You are so sweet and I love your decor too. Thanks for getting in on the party.
DeleteKris
Absolutely breathtaking Chris! How many lights did you use on your tree? It looks amazing! x Julie
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Julie we have had that tree for years and this year we had to restring all the lights since the old ones just gave out. So I went a little overboard with stringing on new lights. I think there are about 6 strings of 300 lights each. I like it bright and pretty!!!!
DeleteKris
Oh, Kris, it is beautiful. I love the silver/gray touches in the living room. The silver throw is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour post definitely rates an "OH, MY!"
Hi my friend, I wanted to link up before hitting the hay. lol! Everything is just stunning! You have such a knack and do white wonderfully. I love the little pops of grey and your tree is GORGEOUS! ReplyDeleteKris I can't even express how fabulous I think your holiday home looks! How soothing and refreshing to see all white. Of course my favorite is the garden gate with the wreath. ReplyDeleteKris, there is nothing prettier than the Nordic whites and the fresh greens combined. Love everything you did....especially that sweet tree. I didn't know you were having a party so I really really appreciated the invite. Busyness has gotten in the way of my blogging. :) I can't wait to see your charming home some day. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh-Kris- i wasn't going to visit blogs today because I have so much to do-but I had to see your White Christmas. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Wish I could pop down there and we could sit and have a cup of Christmas coffee (well, coffee for me-I know YOU like tea). lol I love every single thing you have done and I love your sweet collection of angels. Beautiful! I HAVE to go see your girlfriend party post, too! shhhhh-I am NOT here-xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHi Kris
ReplyDeleteAs always, I'm loving everything you've done to prepare your home for Christmas, but the one thing that has totally grabbed me are those gorgeous cushions (pillows) wrapped with the silver grey ribbons, they are just BEAUTIFUL! Got my tree up over the weekend, it's an artificial one, BUT a very NICE one, and having treated myself to a few new ornaments, and made a few too, I'm thrilled with the way it looks, but my favourite piece is the fairy on the top, which is the one we had when I was a child, 50 odd years ago! She looks a bit dog eared, but the memories mean the world.
Hugs
Judi
So very beautiful serene and "dream-like"...love it Kris!!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get any prettier than fresh green with winter white. It's the perfect natural touch for Christmas. I find it soothing. Wish I had done more of the same here. It is a beautiful look. Happy Holidays…..Sarah
ReplyDeleteSo lovely and dreamy, Kris!! The touches of green are the perfect compliment to your wonderful chippy whites.
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
Dear Sweet Kris, Your place is completely amazing. I absolutely love everything. You are THE DECORATING QUEEN!
ReplyDeleteThose timed candles, I bought some this summer and used them outdoors. Now I have them in the house and they are fabulous in here, too. Love that they have a remote control and a timer. They look so real that I got rid of all the burning ones. I was always too afraid of fire to light them anyway.
*Hugs*
PS, I am saving your post on my laptop so I can visit it often for inspiration. Thank you so very much.
ReplyDelete*Smiles*
