I thought I would do a quick post on my "post"! I got this post yesterday at Lucky Junk and the hubby put a base on it and I found a place for it in the living room.
I thought it looked like it fit in my living room. I am not sure what it is about an old chippy post but I love this one. |
I love that it has outline from the numbers still on it. |
I also found this sweet Madonna that I added to this vignette. I have always wanted one and this one was really pretty. |
Janet took this picture of Mr. Junk Chic Cottage and me at her lovely shop. I am smiling because I scored that beautiful post!!! |
Have a Merry Christmas.
Kris :)

Oh no, not behind the cabinet! No one will see it but those sitting on the couch. Your new post deserves a better place in your lovely home. From a nosey old lady ;) Linda@Wetcreek Blog

Adds the perfect architectural punch to your room, especially with the faint hint of the numbers left behind. It's as if history has left a kiss.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful find.

I really like the number outline on the column. The post makes for a beautiful unusual addition
ReplyDeleteLove it like that behind the cabinet : it is pleasant to discover things like little secrets hidden on a drawer, not seing everything at first sight.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a nice and peaceful Christmas to you and all those you cherish.
xoxo

Beautiful collection and styling!
ReplyDeleteHi Kris
ReplyDeleteYou surely are one lucky lady with your 'finds'! What a great picture of you and your husband, it's odd I know, but so often couples seem to grow to look alike when they've been together a long time, and it certainly seems to be true in your case.
Have a WONDERFUL Christmas, and I look forward to catching up again in the New Year.
Hugs

I was 11 years old (many years ago) when my Dad bought a house with an open front porch. It had four of those pillars (posts) holding up the roof. This was in Nebraska. I always thought it was a neat front porch except when the barn swallows decided to take up housekeeping above those posts. Those were the simple times. thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories. Merry Christmas. Molly
ReplyDeleteI love your column, really I love all things architectural. What a lovely picture of you and your husband - a happy couple indeed! Merry Christmas!!
