Sharing some color I added to my gray and white Master Bedroom.
I found this blue comforter with light gray and white flowers at Home Goods. |
I liked the subtle gray and white roses to match all the gray and white in the room. I love a lot of pillows just thrown onto the bed each day. Just a messy comfy look. |
I like the spring like feel it brings to this room. I also painted the cottage roof and my grandma's darning basket a light gray that sits on top of the armoire. |
Still love my headboard made out of old cottage doors. My husband finished the top with crown molding. |
On my nightstand I have the psalm of solomon and my beautiful love birds my hubby gave me for our anniversary. |
Trying to bring in a little blue to the grey and white for a more Spring like feel. We are getting 6 to 8 more inches of snow. Have a great start to the new week. Kris :) |

ReplyDeleteI love all that white with just a touch of color. it is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as usual. I wasn't sure how much blue I would see when I read the title, "Feelin' a Little Blue".
ReplyDeleteI laughed when you mentioned your husband's "stuff". I have given Steve a caddy to hide his things on the nightstand.
Ha Ha Carol that is a great idea. I might have to think about getting Terry a caddy.

ReplyDeleteThe new comforter looks perfect in your beautiful bedroom. And, lol, thank you for sharing your "secret." As a new follower and someone who is pretty new to the whole cottage decorating world, it's nice to know.
ReplyDeleteI love your new comforter. It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou do white right, Kris. Love your tans with whites, and now this blue/grey.
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteYour grey and light blue are a Springtime delightful addition. Looks peaceful and pretty. We too are going to get a drop of additional snow tonight into tomorrow of 8-10 inches. Sweet dreams of Spring in your restful master bedroom.
This weekend I wrote a poem of Spring for my next post and I'm decorating for Spring/Easter in our home. Winter please leave!!!
XO,
Vera
Hi Kris, LOVE that new comforter from Home Goods!! It's perfect in your room! The hint of color is G*O*R*G*E*O*U*S!! MORE WHITE on the way HERE too~~~Blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteIt is soooo light and pretty. Your room is so romantic. I love how white it is. The faded floral bedding is just the right amount of softness for soring and summer...all year round! I want to go see if our Homegoids has one, i like it that much! I have always loved your Song of Solomon subway sign. It is also a favorite verse of mine. I like the way you painted it and how it is tucked in your room with the live doves for that swoon of romance. Loveliness.
ReplyDeleteSwoon! What a beautiful, beautiful room!
ReplyDeleteI would be so tempted to just lay in bed all morning and just soak in the beauty!
Love that psalm.

The addition of the blue in your room is terrific...i have to laugh at you admitting taking off the items off of the night stand...you are not alone!!!...:) . . You must be so tired of the snow...head south Kris!!! :)

ReplyDeleteWe got an inch or so of snow last night and then it stopped snowing, but they are calling for 3 more inches overnight. We got lucky, because they were first thinking we would get 6 to 12 inches.

ReplyDeleteWhen I lived in Illinois I always found it so depressing when it would snow in March. March is spring...it shouldn't snow in spring! Well on to a more pleasant topic. Your dreamy bedroom!! It is so beautiful and romantic! The soft blue is the perfect touch of spring! The room must be such a cozy spot to snuggle in bed and read a good boo and look out the wonderful window!
ReplyDeleteThe comforter is perfect, Kris. I just love how feminine the room is.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and romantic! It would be easy to unwind in such a soothing space. The soft colours of the new bedding are perfect for your lovely room. The crown moulding really ties those gorgeous doors together. Thanks for sharing.

Simply beautiful! I love how soft and romantic it all feels (minus the hubby's gadgets -- good call moving them for the pics LOL). We just got another 5" over the weekend which means we still have about 14" on the ground -- C R A Z Y!! Surely this can't go on forever???
ReplyDeleteNice. I love what you are doing with the place. The headboard is super creative.
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful addition to an already beautiful room. Have I already told you that I LOVE this headboard? Thanks for sharing at my party today.
Blessings,
Linda
For some odd reason I want to toss a robins egg blue pillow onto that bed!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the new colors added...and yes it really makes it feel springy! I got a good giggle about the phone, clock radio and papers...we live like that too, lol! And we even have dust, but thankfully white hides that pretty well.
ReplyDeleteKris, everything looks so pretty and comfy. I adore that headboard!
ReplyDeleteJeanette
Love your ethereal whiteness, as for that headboard it's amazing and grand, great idea to top it off with molding two thumbs up to the hubby.
