Happy First Day of Spring. Hope your week is going great. I wanted to show you some of the great treasures I scored at Carol's Redeemed Vintage Sale at her home last week end.
First let me say Carol's home is a dream home. It is absolutely gorgeous. Dreamy, comfy and full of beautiful architectural features. She backs to a wooded area here in the town we live and her home is so pretty. I wish I had taken some pictures but I was so excited to start shopping.
If you go do Carol's blog you can see the pictures from her Vintage Sale. It was jammed packed with beautiful things.
I came home with a few treasures. Her pieces are beautiful and very reasonably priced.
Carol had a lot of vintage baskets. Loved this large flat wicker charger with handles. |
I put it under my vase of flowers for the centerpiece on my dining room table. |
I found a few french bread and cutting boards at the sale. |
Loved the french wording on this cutting board and how used and full of character it is. |
This sweet board had a lot of wear and tear. Love the history and the loving used appearance of these boards. |
Loved Loved Loved this vintage wicker laundry basket. It had a wood bottom. So vintage and fun. |
I am thinking about putting this in my bedroom for throwing my pillows from the bed in at night. |
Just not sure yet where this will end up in my house. I love it in the laundry room too. |
Found this vintage bunny not at Carol's but another stop at Home Goods. |
Loved her crown and sweet cone with Spring Dreams on it. I love this bunny she has long ears and long jack rabbit feet. |
Starting to play with putting out some Easter decor. Found my white chippy bunny to hang out in the front entrance. |
Moved my little bunny family onto the chippy chair by the front door. |
I am drooling over your gorgeous French cutting boards, Kris! I am so envious, what a lucky find! I also love the wicker basket and that neat wicker tray. Your bunnies are so sweet. I guess I need to put away my winter pine cones and bring some spring to our house! Even though there is still lots of snow outside my windows:)
ReplyDeleteJealous over tour recent finds. Those chopping boards... and the baskets. How luvly.
ReplyDeleteI brought out the bunnies last week... nothing like bunnies and green to harken Spring. Happy today Kris.

I need to make friends with her, I think! lol I have one of those old laundry baskets with the wood bottom that came from hubby's grandmother's house. You sure do a beautiful job of display, Kris. What great finds, the cutting boards are my favorite. You did good. That laundry basket would look beautiful heaped with cut lavender. Snowed here last night....welcome Spring, I think not :(
ReplyDeleteOh, what fun finds.
ReplyDeleteBut more important, is what you do with them. I love the little runner you have draped around the centerpiece on the table.
I love the little bunny from HG and you gave me the idea of putting a sweet TJ Maxx bunny I have on the little blue chair in my entry. I love blogging for all the ideas I get.
HAPPY SPRING!!!!
You scored BIG time Kris!! LOVE LOVE the wicker charger and laundry basket and LOVE those antique bread boards!! I just ordered on from One Kings Lane ...can't wait for it to come:-)
ReplyDeleteYou got some great things, Kris! Love those bread boards. I really like your idea of using a basket in your bedroom to hold the throw pillows from the bed. Keeps them off the floor or any chair {like in my case}. Love, love that bunny! I may have to make a stop at Home Goods myself to see if mine has this cutie.
ReplyDeleteLove all your new spring finds and touches, Kris, especially that new laundry basket (and the bunny family on the chair). Yay for grass! My pansies were clobbered through winter, usually perk back up after wintering over from fall, but so far they still look pretty weak. That's ok, Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteAll your new found treasures are each delightful. Be still my heart ... I love them all, especially the French bread board with the ghosted lettering. Baskets I adore for their textural charm and practicality for storage. All your new old finds will give you lots of fun coming up with different displays throughout your charming house. Yes, storage of pillows in the bedroom in that lovely basket sounds perfect.
The bunny you purchased is too cute for words! Kris, on the first day of Spring (so long awaited) I wish you happiness and bliss spent in your garden.
XO,
Vera

Hi Kris. The wooden items look so nice with your white. I just got back from a few days in Chicago and stayed at The Drake again. It's so much fun to be there and I was expecting it to be really cold and windy but it wasn't bad.
