Happy Sunday. I thought I would share some little changes in my dining room with spring cleaning and getting ready for summer. I wanted to bring in my love of gardening to the inside decor.
I found a new spot for this chippy white chair until I can take her outside to the garden this summer. |
I wanted to show you the Madonna and rosaries I got on my trip to Massachusetts. |
I loved this old french bottle with the Madonna on it. I also found a sweet rosary at Nesting the shop in Concord, Ma. |
The bottle was so pretty and the little angel wings I had gotten awhile back from Rosemary at Villa Barnes. |
I have hung my spring love birds cage on the old windows dividing the kitchen from the dining room. |
Rehung my Honey 4 Sale sign over the old chippy windows and added a wreath and bird to the sign for a summer look. |
As many of you know I love my old vintage bike that I just redid the flower bike basket for summer. |
I used this old foot board with chalk paint to hang my garden hat and garden basket . I love that I can change up the sign with chalk. |
I love bringing a little bit of my summer garden inside the house. |
My old garden boots that I painted a light yellow and put daisy's in them and a cute little robins nest. |
I recently found this old picket fence piece and brought it in to put in front of the mirror on my mantel for summer. |
Everything looks so pretty!! I love and adore the bike rental chalkboard/sign you made out of a foot board! What a great piece!!
ReplyDeleteLove it all, Kris, but my fave is the bike rental sign.
ReplyDeleteKris, I have to say, I am in love with the bike, boots and sign. Perfect. Looks so refreshing. I also like the picket infront of your mirror. Blessings for a great day, xoxoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful touches, Kris. Chippy gets me every time.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful, but I WANT that Honey 4 Sale sign, it is perfect.
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteEverything looks summery and pretty capturing the outside light in your walls of white. I too love Madonna's,your newly found bottle is gorgeous and being the palest blue pops. I collect rosaries, all are from friends and family members who I adored and were given to me when they passed. So my collection is both feminine and masculine in color and feel. My favorite belonged to John's grandmother who lived to 102. Hers is all crystal beads with sterling silver. It beautifully reflects the light and sends peaceful rays that dazzle the walls.
I always enjoy seeing how you take your lovely found treasures and put them throughout your house in fun and whimsical vignettes. Your home is a happy home and shows your love and personality.
I hope you are feeling better today and the congestion was just from being at the Flea Market and pollen.
Happy Sunday,
XO,
Vera
You had me at chippy! I love your bottles and all of the other goodness, so beautiful!

So pretty and summery. The weather has been snowbird ... even for us Southerners. We had storms every afternoon this week, and full blown storms Friday and Saturday. ALL day, rain thunder, wind. Wet and cool. Today thankfully is sweet and sunny!
ReplyDeleteHere's to some normalcy!
Oh I love it all, how gorgeous. You have such a knack for adding accessories in the most lovely displays and vignettes. Stunning.

It's all so pretty Kris, but my vote has to go to the vintage bike and the sign. I do love the Honey sign too. Well, to be honest, I love all of it..Happy Sunday..Judy
ReplyDeleteWell, you DO have a lot of chippy goodness! Love it all! The mantle area is just wonderful! What a great way to add the look of a cozy fireplace without all the mess:) Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteOH I so love the sign with the wreath. Great piece. That whole vignette is perfect with the chippy barn door. All the little touches of birdhouses and birds' nest are perfect. I always enjoy your style.
ReplyDeletelove the chippy white goodness, kris:) the new picket fence looks great on the mantle! i think this week might be the start of warmer weather...finally! have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love the honey sign. So stinking cute.
ReplyDeleteGreat, fresh looks, Kris. I know it takes a lot of time to make it all just right, too. I love the Madonna and rosaries. I am the one in Panoply that always seems to rescue the religious relics. We grew up Catholic, and May is the month celebrating the Virgin Mary and, traditionally, there was always a big deal around the May crowning - wherein one student was chosen (how, I don't remember, would have to ask my older sisters) to be crowned the May queen. All the little girls receiving their first communion (typically 2nd graders) would be the processional attendants to the May queen. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so pretty for summer! I always enjoy seeing your bike with the basket of flowers.
ReplyDeleteI SO wish I still had my rosary from my first communion - have no idea where it went but it was gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd I just adore that picket fence in your mantel Kris - what a fabulous idea !
Your boots look white on my screen - not pale yellow - but they're soooo pretty filled with flowers - I have an old pair
I should do this with ( except I actually still wear them - cracks and all LOL )
Have a wonderful Monday - talk later !
XOXO
I bet you're planting your flowers by now Kris, so the outside will be just gorgeous as the inside. xo
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so pretty. I really like the delicate colour of the French bottle, it fits in perfectly with the rest of your scheme.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Kris!! Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteI was reading an article this morning about someone who is trying to build a tele-transportation device. If he succeeds, I will be the first person in line to purchase one and have your entire home décor transported to Phoenix!! What do you think about that??? Always a delight to see what you have designed/created!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed seeing your decor, Kris. Do you arrange flowers yourself? I would love to learn how to do that. Thanks for inspiring me to START my spring cleaning. lol
ReplyDeleteKris, playing catch up and I am loving all your changes. The bike I remember but the update of the basket is so pretty and the basket with hat, GREAT!!! Love that piece around it with sign such beautiful detailing.
