| Remember this old chippy post I got at Anne's (White Lace Cottage) Vintage Home Sale. I was not sure what I would do with it just knew I needed this chippy piece. |

| Terry and his trustee tools cut the post in half so I could frame out the chalkboard space of the coffee bar. Thanks Anne. I knew I would find a good use for that chippy post. |

| Le Cafe hanging basket to put muffins and bakery items. I am going to fill these with cute french linens too. On the hunt. |

| A little chalk board paint and an old chippy frame. |

Now I have a nice place for desserts and yummy coffee's and Latte's when I have guests or it is just Sunday morning with just Terry and I.
The fun part about all of this is I do not drink coffee. Never could get a grip on the taste of coffee. Believe me I have tried through the years to like it. Even with all the yummy creamers just could not embrace the taste.

Love the smell of coffee brewing just not the taste.
I am a tea drinker and love the chai tea's I can make in my Keurig.
Now Keurig has so many great choices for cold or hot drinks.
So that is what I did this past week end. Love my new coffee bar. Now who is coming by for a cup of Joe!

That's such a great idea! I love the chalkboard you created behind it. I love coffee, so if I came over I would love to use your coffee bar! I have a Keurig too and it's so nice to be able to use it so many different ways, isn't it? It's much more than a coffee maker.

Oohhh, Chai! Coming from a Punjabi family Chai is a staple! But my Uncle makes the best in my family... the man is a tea whisperer.

ReplyDeleteI'll be by tomorrow morning bright and early lol It's a beautiful take on the coffee bar! Great use of the chippy post. And as I always say, you can never have too many chalkboards. You're so funny, I don't like coffee either! In a way I'm glad I don't when I see all those moms lined up at the Starbucks drive-thru in the morning waiting for their $4.00 high calorie coffees. Figure I've saved a bundle (in both dollars and calories!) I've always been a tea drinker, used to use loose teas and only real china B.C. (before children). Now I use tea bags - Earl Grey - and the biggest mug I can find! My decadent afternoon treat in the winter is vanilla caramel tea with a Coffee House vanilla caramel coffee creamer. Oh, and a piece of chocolate, of course:) I think I'll go make a cup right now!

In our house my hubby is the tea drinker (can't stand coffee) and I am the coffee drinker (I only drink tea when my stomach doesn't feel so good), but it is probably good to have a little bit of everything ~ including hot chocolate ~ for when you have guests over, too.

ReplyDeleteSo funny you don't like coffee. I never drank coffee either till just a few years ago. I discovered french vanilla flavoring and that's the only way I can drink it. Guess I'm a wimpy coffee drinker. LOL LOVE the chalk board.

Love your coffee bar!! I don't like to drink coffee either and I tried really hard to like it. I would put in so much sugar and creamer...and still couldn't drink it, but I do like tea...hot or cold.

Oh Kris, this coffee bar looks amazing!!! I can just smell it brewing now....and you've paid such attention to detail - everything a coffee (or tea) drinker would want is here. I think I would spend 20 minutes just ooohing and aaaahing over the set-up before I even thought about having a mug. :) Funny, I'm not a huge coffee drinker, either. I much prefer tea, but do love the smell of coffee and some of those flavored coffees like pumpkin spice. Ahhhh....so nice to have fall in the air. Your coffee station will be a big hit this season!

I had to laugh that you have the cutest coffee bar around and don't like coffee! :) I am a tea drinker too--I always enjoy coffee when someone else makes it though. Like you--I love the smell of it. Anyway--this is so adorable you may just have to develop a taste for coffee! ;)

I love how you used the spindle to create the sides of your chalkboard... I LOVE just about anything chalkboard! I have always loved your shelves and how you decorate them, I just adore the jars, doilies and old silverware and your collection of white ironware is so beautiful. I have got to hit the thrift stores more, they have bins of old silverware, and I'm not to proud to dig and I have found some great white iron/stoneware there too! Thanks for sharing as always my head is spinning with ideas!

ReplyDeleteKris....this was such an amazing coffee bar that I finally took the plunge and figured out where to put a coffee bar in my house. I have seen many lovely ones on Pinterest but it was not until I saw yours that I was so excited I could hardly stand it!!! My daughters both have a coffee bar and I loved the idea but was never sure where I could pull it off! My husband came home one night and noticed a bare space in the small room off our kitchen....he said are we getting a new piece of furniture....to which I replied yes but I have to find it first. The best part was that when I told my neighbour what I wanted to do and the size of dresser I was looking for she immediately offered me an old dresser from her attic....what a sweetie......and at no charge, she just wanted to get rid of it.well the last few weeks has found me chalk painting the dresser and setting up my coffee bar. You can see it on my blog at k-bees timeless elegance. Thanks so much for being such an amazing source of inspiration. Btw my coffee bar looks completely different from yours but every morning when I get up it puts a smile on my face! Karen

ReplyDeleteI've never seen something so amazing. I could snuggle up in that white chair in the corner sipping tea and taking it all in, for hours. I just recently purchased an old cabinet that I am converting into a tea hutch. I'm struggling with accessories to add dimensions and that's how I fell on your post after searching for ideas. I know you made this post many years ago but I am curious if you can direct me in a place where I'd be able to possibly find your white tray (that your creamers are sitting on) as well as your Le Cafe basket (or something similar). It's crazy all the google searches I have done!
