Good Sunday Morning. Hope your week end is going great. We are having fall temps this week end here in Chicagoland. Had to put the heat on last night ughhh!
No worries it is suppose to get back up in the 70's this week. Hope they are right.
I went junkin with a friend on Thursday and one of our stops was at the Janet's shop Lucky Junk. My heart beats just a little faster each time I walk in her shop of unique treasures.
I found something small and oh so cute that flooded back a lot of great childhood memories for me so I bought it. Was not sure where it would go in my home but just knew I needed this treasure.

Yep! Look at this sweet vintage wooden swing in yellow. Too sweet. |
|
I hung it for now in the entry way with all my vintage garden items. It will go outside next summer and probably be in my big tree out front. For now I want to keep it inside. |
|
Grace even came out to try out the swing. |
|
Love all my fall fabric pumpkins I have collected and have been gifted with. |
|
I will be finding some new places for these pumpkins when I start my fall decor. |
|
These sweater pumpkins I was gifted from my friend Susan from Must Love Junk last fall. They made me smile to pull them out for this years decor. |
|
You never know where one or two or three may pop up. |
|
Ohhhh what is this mess going on in my dining room????? Stay tuned hope to have this little project finished this week end to show you soon. I will be excited for you to see what new decor space this will become.
Have a great start to the new week. Kris :) |
I think Grace looks adorable sitting on the swing, Kris! It's freezing in northern MN, too, and I had to turn on our heat yesterday. I'm hoping it warms up this week because this is way too early for winter temps! I can't wait to see what you're creating on your dining room wall, so don't keep us in suspense too long!
ReplyDeleteOh, Kris, what a sweet swing! I love that pale yellow, and all the ways you styled it - even the blank one. Here you two go again in that DR - oh my, do you ever sit still? ;) And I hope our heat doesn't kick on for several more weeks! Happy Sunday and start of a new week!

ReplyDeleteKris, Happy Sunday my sweet friend. Your keen eye always finds the most delightful goodies. I love the yellow color and timeworn patina on your magical swing. Grace looks graced by the lovely pumpkins on the vintage bench of white below. I think the pumpkins displayed together looks like natures bounty and speaks of Fall. I love the composition of your vignette of swing, bench and pumpkins. You and Terry always amaze me with all the creative projects you do and we bloggers love that you willingly share.
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Vera
That is so funny that you just bought the swing. I just saw a swing on Instagram and decided I was going to make one to hang from my garden tree. I was going to use rope, but I am going to use chain like yours because my childhood swing had chain. How did I forget that until your swing brought back the memories.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I grew up with a little swing like that, too, Kris. I just love that- what a great find! It those little things that always make me smile! I think it is darling inside!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you are doing-For some reason I am thinking chalk paint/blackboard? AND I love your pumpkins. Guess it is time to get my Fall stuff out- sigh....feeling like Fall here.
Whoops-Natives are getting restless-better get going here- xo Diana
Oh you clever lady,. You seem to have such a good eye for items and where to place them. Love the swing and the angel looks so good sitting there waiting for a push. I can remember my swing when I was growing up - I loved it and it was in the shade and I would swing and swing for hours. Your pumpkins look so good - will have to try my hand at a couple of them.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have to turn the heater on - it's in the 100's here and will be until Thursday. I am SICK of this HEAT! I want fall and cooler temperatures. LOL
Have a terrific week Kris - can hardly wait to see what you are up to.

What an adorable thing....and too cute with Grace swinging in it! I know how you feel about your heart beating a little faster when you visit a shop you love and the thrill of finding a neat new treasure. As for our weather...I haven't turned on the heat yet and am hoping I can refrain from it! It's been a little chilly here in the mornings so I just stay in bed as long as I can, lol. I can't wait to see what you are up to with that painters tape...I have an idea but won't dare say it in fear that I am wrong, hahaha! Enjoy your week!
