I am starting a new decor project in the living room. I took everything down off the walls. Here is the wall before shot and hopefully soon will have the after picture of what we do to this wall and the new decor change ups for my living room.

We got a new leather sectional not too long ago after I sold my pretty white slipcovered sectional so that is starting a whole decor change up in this room! Hopefully Pottery Barn meets Cottage will be achieved in this room soon.
I have to really watch the budget while Terry is trying to find another position in the fire service so I am going to do all these changes with supplies and decor pieces I have. I love a challenge and have a "captive helper" that has tools so it is all good!
Have a great start to the new week. Kris :) |
Can't wait, I am sure it will be stunning.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I had a smidgen of your energy, Kris! You two accomplish so much in so little time. I am still looking at my armoire across the room thinking it needs a face lift. I did find an Annie Sloan distributor in CO to stop in and visit next time we drive to Denver... no one works slower than me! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a pleasant day,
Lin
Exciting! Can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteOh, it sounds interesting! I am intrigued!
ReplyDeleteI know you love this and have fun with the challenge. It look beautiful when finished as usual with everything you decorate. By the way you are so lucky to have a husband who is handy around the house! Take care and stay warm.

Sounds fabulous...."Pottery Barn meets Cottage".... I like it! Can't wait to see the finished room!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the new look. I think it's better to be creative and use what you have anyway, it will be way more satisfying. Can't wait to see what you're cookin up.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how different the room looks without your creative touches. I know I will enjoy watching you decorate the room and I am positive the final results will be stunning!
ReplyDeleteYou are just sumthin', Kris! lol Glad you are getting your Spring mojo on- you will be ahead of everyone with Spring cleaning and fix-up. I can't wait to see what you do....AND...when you are finished there I have a couple of pieces I could use some help painting AND-hey, bring Terry along. I got a couple of projects for him, too! lol xo Diana
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness! I can't wait! You have such style and design skills Kris. I'm wanting to get a sectional and think I am going to stay with IKEA? because the slip covered pieces I have have held up so well and I just love the thought of taking the cover off and washing when needed. But not sure ... I will wait to see what you do with your leather and how you incorporate it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Hi Patty,
DeleteI had the white slipcovers and with my dog getting on the sectional all the time I was always washing them. So the leather is a better choice for me right now. I just miss the look of the sweet slipcovers but I like not having to wash them constantly.
Hopefully I can join some of my cottage with a pottery barn look and have it feel comfy and cozy in this room. Stay tuned.
Kris
Can't wait to see what you come up with....I know it will be so fabulous!!!!!

I think even if you didn't "have to watch the budget" you would still use decor and supplies you already have. You seem to take joy in that, and it shows others that they can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune. I love watching your projects unfold, Kris, and look forward to seeing your new living room. xxx ~ Nancy
ReplyDeleteUsing what you have is always my first choice in decor, so I'll enjoy watching what you do in this room. If it's half as great as your kitchen...it will be awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnother change up? Oh boy! I can't wait to see what you and your "captive helper" LOL have in mind! You sure know how to make an ugly winter beautiful! Hugs, Leena
