Is getting the mail the highlight of your day some days!!!! Well somedays it is mine. I love my mail man he always brings up my mail to the door when I have a package. Somehow makes me feel like I am getting a very special delivery LOL!
Just wanted to show you a little something that came in the mail today. A total random act of kindness from a fellow blogger.
Some of you may know Debbie from Lake House she is sweet and talented. She sews and I am always in awe of those that can sew.
Today actually on her blog she had a post about moving her sewing machine out to the sun porch at her cute lake house to sew up her wonderful lavender sachets. I love her sun room and how it looks out over the lake.
So after reading her post about her sewing away out on her porch with these lovely sachets here in the mail on the same day is a wonderful sachet from Debbie. Gotta love that!
I have to tell you I could smell the sweet lavender from inside the envelope before I even opened it. |
You are so welcome, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better.

ReplyDeleteWow that was really nice to receive the little gift from your blog friend! I'm so glad you are feeling better each day! Take care.

How very kind of Debbie! I happened by her blog today and told her I would never accomplish anything if I had a sewing machine in that beautiful space because I'd be staring at the scenery all day, such a beautiful space! Anyway, so happy you received 'happy' mail today! It seems all I ever receive are bills and junk mail, oh well! Have a Beautiful Thursday!! Blessings, Cindy xoxo

ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful gift from Debbie!
Bloggers are the sweetest people in the world aren't they!
It's lovely to hear you are on the mend Kris... take it slowly, just one day at a time.
I'll be back on Saturday, I love meeting your new bloggers!
Much love

How sweet! I absolutely love lavender sachets, and use them in drawers, armoires, and especially with storing vintage linens. They're a natural bug deterrent! Kris, I'm so glad your surgery recovery is going so well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gesture! I'll bet it smells real good, too, Kris. So glad to hear you are recovering well.
ReplyDeleteDebbie is so sweet, and I think her idea to move her sewing machine to the sunroom was brilliant!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the lavender sachets and feel better soon, Kris!
Hugs,
Lin
How very kind! Enjoy your gift!! xox
ReplyDeleteyou are loved!
ReplyDeleteAww how sweet!! I LOVE that 3 tiered lamp!!! Everything looks adorable displayed on there!! Love that little Cheswick angel on there too!!! I just ordered two of her angel patterns today, I looked for that little angel head pattern but I didn't see it....
ReplyDeleteThat was so very kind of her to do that! And like you, I love getting a letter or a little surprise in the mail. One of the disadvantages of a technology-based world is that no one writes notes or cards to send in the mail anymore! I continue to try though. I send out Christmas cards every year and try to drop notes to friends via snail-mail! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteHow so very, very nice and such a great token of kindness!...you are so loved by all!....Kindness begets kindness!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember seeing your lamp up close before. Does it really have those 3 tiers attached? What a fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work, recuperating. We all love you so much.
*Smiles*
Such a kind and thoughtful surprise! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you are slowly getting better. Little gifts like this are just so sweet and it's good to make your heart smile. I love your lamp. Did you make it yourself?

It's great to received a sweet gift in the mail...makes one feel so special. I have a bag of lavender sitting on a shelf waiting to be put to good use, so a sachet is a great idea. I love your lamp, where ever did you get it? Simply charming! So glad you are doing well after surgery!
ReplyDeleteHow nice is that! Her sachet is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm sitting here thinking about how amazing that would be to spend an afternoon sewing on a porch overlooking a lake. How lovely!
DeleteWhat a romantic gift! Debbie is a special person. I'm very glad you are getting better.
