I thought I would show you my lovely Mom's day gift of roses from Terry.
Instead of a dozen roses to put in a vase Terry got me three new Knock Out Rose bushes for my garden. Love these kind of roses they will not end up gone in a week and I will enjoy these Mother's Day Roses all summer long.

I planted them in my little flower bed off the deck. I have this old chippy head board to hold my garden retreat sign. You all know how I love to mix salvage chippy pieces in with the flowers in my garden. |

I love the knock out roses they are pretty and so easy to grow. Love their vibrant color. |

I have been getting my garden planted for this year. Here is a sneak peak at one of my chippy porch posts I am using on the deck to hang the baskets of flowers and my old vintage bike is going to be part of the decor on the deck this year.
Stay tuned hope to have the garden and deck pictures posted soon. Have a wonderful Mother's Day. Kris :) |

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to put your roses in the garden with your repurposed furniture. I just love knockout roses! It will be so enjoyable to see them bloom year after year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift, and much better than cut flowers as they'll last for ages and give you long term pleasure. Loving the look of your beautiful bike and can't wait to see what else you've been up to in the garden.

Beautiful !
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of rose bushes instead of cur roses...you'll have blooms every year! You have the most wonderful flowers, Kris...so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteOh- I just love your gardening abilities...admire them and am a bit jealous to tell you the truth! Terry did good! Love knock out roses, too! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful.. and I love the back-drop with the sign. I've never heard of Knock Out Roses.. And what a great idea. Bushes instead of a vase of flowers. It's hard to grow roses in this high mountain desert but maybe I will try some of those! :) So inspiring as always.
