Mystery Potted Flower

Just a quick question for all of you Flowering Plant Lovers.  I got this hanging basket a while back as a gift and I am not sure what it is.  I thought I would post some pics of it and see if any of you know what this flowering basket might be.
It grows with lots of hanging branches.

It gets these small green curls that grow and the flowers start out enclosed in green leaves.

Then the green leaves open up and this beautiful flower appears.  It is very unique.  It has white petals with bright blue and white spikes and then that green triangle middle.  Such a very unique and pretty flower.

So if any of you flower lovers know what this plant is called I would so appreciate any information.

    Kris, I did not know anything about this plant...but it is very pretty. I see everyone is saying passion plant so now, I have learned something today. That is a good feeling.     So many knowledgeable gardeners in this group! I have a brown thumb and a limited plant vocabulary, so all I'll add is that it's very lush and very pretty!!

    Yep, I agree with the others. Looks like a passion flower. Very pretty! I had one once, and it grew up my fence as a vine, but it soon took over everything (fence, other plants, ground cover, etc.) and we had to take it down. I should have kept it in a container as you have. It had the most unique flowers. It could take our heat too, which was a definite plus.

      I have had these before but had it climbing a trellis, not hanging...it is a Passion flower!

    I love the way this plant looks - I have never seen one - must mean it will not tolerate the heat and humidity here. I love all blue flowers.

    It's so pretty in a hanging basket. I've only seen it grow as a vine along a fence before. I wasn't sure of the name but it looks like you have plenty of gardeners who knew exactly what it was! And it is a sweet name.

    I believe you have a Clematis , if you'll Google this, your very flower comes up. Pronounced : Clem a tis. If you will put that in the ground it will make a lovely trellis (with something to climb onto). I have never seen it in a basket before.

    Definately a Passion Flower it is a climbing plant for a Trellis.
    I love it in a hanging pot.

    It is a passion flower! You can get them in other colors, too. They do great on a trellis. I have 2, one white and one purple.

      Oh my gosh no I did not know this. I heard that it attracts butterflies but I did not know that about the bees. Too funny.
      Well I guess the butterflies and bees will be enjoying the plant too.

    Hi Kris, I'm sure you already know, but it is a Passion Flower. I have always wanted to try one. It's just an annual here. I just saw that it intoxicates the bees. Oh my gosh, who ever heard of such a thing?
