ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this message. This year my dear grandmother left me, she was like my mother, my friend, my friend, my confidant ...
I have just seen that she is still here, with us, that her legacy is the family, the love and the union that we must maintain.
Thank you so much for your words so comforting, you gave me the strength to face Christmas with joy, knowing that from heaven she will take care of me forever.
I wish you all the happiness, that the new year brings you health and prosperity.
With love from Spain.
Well, I am not a 'crier'...but this made me cry. Holidays are so hard when we think about those people that we have loved and lost-they are with us in spirit, I know-but it is not the same. Thank you, Kris. This is very poignant. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the sweet message

Beautiful ~ Although, I should Not have listened/watched while sitting at my desk at work! Bless your heart, Kris!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you Kris. Today Ted and I went to the funeral of our friend , who passed last week. This song fits for Milt's beautiful family. Holiday can be ever so hard ...we have to keep our faith, even then. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteThank you Kris...it was really beautiful and so true. As you know I lost my father this year and actually Christmas day will mark two months since his passing. We also lost another dear friend just 3 weeks ago. It will definitely be a different kind of Christmas. They are not here in body but in spirit. Both men left incredible legacies behind...and for that we completely be grateful. God bless Kris and Merry Christmas to you and yours! XO Barbara
ReplyDeleteBeautiful song. Thx for sharing, Kris. xoxo, T.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Kris! It is going to be a rough holiday for us...I appreciate your sharing! Also, one of my dear friends lost her son yesterday...please remember them in your prayers! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year sweet friend! Love and hugs!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this, Kris. This is a tough time of year for many people, but I love this message of hope.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this beautiful song with us. It is especially touching to me as we just lost my dear mother-in-love just yesterday. Diagnosed with a very curable bladder cancer just 2 short years ago. Appearing to respond to the therapy well with no additional lesions discovered post tx. Her cancer and tx had a survival rate of 90% 5 yr post tx. No early indicators that the cancer had metastasized to her lungs even though the primary site appeared clear. From February to September received chemo and then her port stopped functioning. Returning to oncologist in late October the plan was to continue with chemo as it appeared she was responding well. By November 16th we were given the news that any further tx would not be beneficial and she was referred to hospice. As late as December 12th she was still proclaiming that she would be with us to next Christmas...alas she was unable to continue her battle. Our hearts are heavy with our loss. The family is making great effort to continue with our Christmas plans and spend Christmas eve day together as was always the tradition our mother carried out for us. Thank again dear Kris. I hope your heart is not also heavy with loss this Christmas.
ReplyDeleteTouching, I'm one of those tear jerker ones who crystal at all the Hallmark commercials.
ReplyDeleteWe are dealing with my aunt who will be spending Christmas in the hospital dianoised with cancer.
A very tough time for our very small family to watch and worry in stress.
Having lost so many in my family to cancer, and loved ones gone it's a real listening for those quiet messages.
Thank you for this beautiful share Kris.
Xx

That was a beautiful song dedicated to those who are missing somebody special this Christmas. Thank you for sharing with us, Kris.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! This will be a rough Christmas for us this year , first Christmas without our mama . There are so many that have lost loved ones this year !! Beautiful but sad song . Merry Christmas to you and yours 🎄🎄
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Kris. Thank you for sharing that very special song.

Whew, boy. It doesn't matter how many years pass, when you have someone very close to you gone, you can feel it. Beautifully sad song, but with a positive twist. Thank you for sharing that, Kris. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteDear Kris ~ This really touched my heart. Today marks the 5th birthday, and it will be the 5th Christmas, since my dear husband went to be with Jesus. He is there, but, he is also here in my heart. I love him more than ever and look forward to our reunion one day. Every day is different, but especially at this time of year, he went to heaven on the 9th of Dec. 2012. God has given me others to give the love to, that I was giving to my husband.
ReplyDeleteMay God's peace, love and strength be showered upon all who have lost loved ones and are having a 'different kind of Christmas' this year.

That is beautiful, Kris. Thank you for sharing. It is at the holidays I miss those gone on the most. I'm so thankful for the hope of seeing them again one day.
ReplyDeletehugs,

How beautiful Kris. I miss my mom SO much this time of year. She made our Christmas so special. I am grateful for all the wonderful memories and how much she loved us and her knowing how much I loved her. Thank you for this. Merry Christmas to you and your precious family and health and happiness to all. Hugs to Cooper.

Thanks for posting such a beautiful message. I sure miss my mom and brothers every day but at holidays especially. Enjoy your day...things are warming up a bit here... xoxo
ReplyDeleteA very touching song. Heart-wrenching and uplifting, all at the same time. The first Christmas after my late husband passed was very hard. All the "firsts" are. I appreciate most in this song the reminder of the "legacy" our loved ones leave us. I look at our grandchildren and I see his life continuing. That's all we can leave behind that has significance. . .our families. Thank you, Kris, for this song. I look forward to the day when I will join all my deceased loved ones with the Lord in Heaven. So thankful that Jesus came to earth to make that possible. Hugs and love this Christmas season -- Nancy
ReplyDeleteOh boy. Beautiful, but not an easy song to listen to, especially this time of year. I think of my dad, and so many others, this time of year. I try to remember the happy Christmases I was able to spend with them...but even after all these years it's still a fresh wound during the holidays. Hugs, Kris xo
ReplyDeleteWell grab me a box of tissue because my keyboard is getting soaked. Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet Kris. Thank you for sharing this. We haven't had our son with us, in body, for 16 years. But his spirit has always been here. New loved ones come into our family, not to replace, but to strengthen the love and caring that we have always had. He would have mingled with all of them and his heart and beauty still do. I cried alot when I played this, but sometimes that just does the heart good..Merry Christmas my friend..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThank you for being so thoughtful! We all have our memories of those we have lost and it seems harder to deal with over the holidays. My Mom passed on Christmas one year ago so I'm so appreciative for the gift of friendship through cyberspace! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself from your lovely home and the ups and downs of life. You and your wonderful hubby have a wonderful and blessed Merry Christmas! Hugs from the heart,
ReplyDeleteJulie
Thank you Julie. I am sorry about the loss of your mom a year ago. It is so hard to lose a loved one especially at this time of the year. I loved this song and the message it gives everyone missing a loved one. Our life journey goes on no matter how sad so we need to embrace our memories to help us through. I am wishing you peace for this Christmas and wishing some of the sadness be lifted off your heart for this year.
DeleteHugs,
Kris
A beautiful post Kris, and a beautiful song and message!
ReplyDeleteThis time of year is so difficult for so many and for so many reasons...I try to find the joy in the moment now and to be thankful for the memories past and hopeful for the memories to come!
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and 2017! Hugs, Kimberley
I lost my husband. 1st Christmas in many years that he will be absent, although we were separated because of Military service several times, this will be the hardest one ever. Thank you for thinking of all the people who will have a "blue" Christmas and who will be lonely, sad, or without basic needs. I have everything I need and more and I'm grateful for our life together and thankful for the love we shared. God's grace will carry us through the roughest times.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda for coming by and listening to this beautiful and hopeful song. This is such a hard time of year to be missing someone. I am so sorry for the loss of your hubby. Hope the memories of all the good Christmas times together will help with your sadness and loss. My wish for you is peace and feeling hopeful that as time goes on you will feel less sadness and heartbreak. Time does not make the loss go away but it does help to make it more tolerable. I wish that for you. Thank you for your sweet and open thoughts you shared here today.

Thank you Kris for the lovely reminder. It can be a very lonely holiday when missing loved one whether they have passed on or just have left the family. I was feeling a great deal of despair this holiday season until I grabbed myself by my bootstraps and went and gave of myself to others. This actually helped to relieve the pain that I have been feeling. Have a beautiful Christmas sweet friend. XX Jo
ReplyDeleteThank you for this, Kris. It was inspiring though heartbreaking. I cried listening even though this year has left my own family circle unbroken. But for the first Christmas, all 3 of our sons and their families will be miles away from us. This song has made me realize how blessed I am to have them and our daughter, even if we're not all together this year. Some songs have the power to wake us up and this one did me.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a touching song, Kris. Full of hope and encouragement. Christmas has been a time of great loss for many of us and how sweet it is to turn our thoughts toward thinking of what we had and still have. Blessings surround and it's good to be reminded. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful week filled with warmth and love and joy as we approach Christmas day.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Tamara
Dear friend, I have been learning over the past 30 years since both my parents and my beloved aunts and uncle have passed, that Christmases without them are not the same. But nothing ever stays the same, does it?
ReplyDeleteSo many lessons to learn from loss and a missing player in the scenery; all I know is in the end, we all become someone's memory. May YOU always be a spark of light to someone special sweet friend!
this is so very beautiful....i';m crying sad and happy tears right now (sobbing actually)....i loved this and will share it with my family...we're all missing people we love, especially at this time of year....this is a wonderful reminder that traditions must carry on so our loved ones can too. merry xmas dear friend. many blessings to you and yours....
ReplyDelete...and Stars upon the tree!

Hi Kris, this is beautiful and a real heart touching song. I know the different kind of Christmas when our loved ones have passed away. We miss how it was when they were with us. I have learned, what does remain the same is Christmas and the meaning it has for us all. We carry on the memories and hope one day we will be together again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this video. Wishing you the sweetest holiday and very Merry moments with your family this Christmas and many blessings in the new year. Thank you for your dear friendship. xo
It doesn't take me much to cry this time of year...and this made me cry again. A beautiful song I had not hear before but it sprung memories of loved ones lost. But one thing is true life moves on...even if we wish we could stop it. But thats why memories are the gifts in our hearts that no one can take away...Wishing you and your family a happy and blessed Christmas
