As promised here is my guest bath with a few new change ups.
Remember this sweet little scrolly bench?! |
With some tweaking and a few repairs it is now a nice bench in my guest bathroom. Love the patina to this sweet piece. |
I have this vintage candelabra. Anyone for a nice romantic bath? |
Put this little chippy stool by the bath tub. |
The candelabra can be put on this stool too for that long and relaxing bath ambience. |
The old picture frames work nicely for towel hangers. |
I am on the hunt for some old vintage door knobs to adorn these vanity cabinet doors. They need a little bling and maybe a wax texture. Hmmm hunting and thinking on this! |
This old mirror is my great grandmothers off an old vintage dresser she had. I still have not found a use for the old dresser that went with that mirror but I will!!!!! |
A soft sweet faux lamb rug. |
An old salvage piece over the window. |
The moldings have a real pretty pattern. Can you imagine an old home with these moldings round the house! Ahhhh beautiful. |
Just a few new pieces and some tweaking to my guest bathroom. Have a great week. We saw sunshine for the first time in 8 days. It was heaven! Hugs, Kris |
You sure are an expert in finding nice things, lol. I never have that "nose" for things!! It looks just Lovely in your guest bathroom, much nicer than our ordinary (and only) one.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice day.
Love Elzie
Oh my word, with your imagination and Terry's tools, you two can make anything look amazing. This is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteLove the header! I'm also loving the way you used picture frames for towel hangers. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty little bench! Certainly the star in this pretty little powder room!
ReplyDeleteI love your chippy garden bench repurposed for your guest bath, Kris! And the darling little stool looks like a ballerina wearing a tutu. So cute! We're in the middle of removing UGLY wallpaper from our main bathroom, and you've got me thinking about what I want to hang back up on the walls when we're done. Vintage and salvage looks so much more interesting than new cabinets, etc. Good luck on your hunt for vintage doorknobs and thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Kris! I love your bench...and I really love the old molding used above the curtain...so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHi Kris,
ReplyDeleteI am pinning the idea using the frames for towel hooks. Great idea. I agree, the molding is a treasure and you use it beautifully in your decorating.
Carla
Your guest bathroom is stunning - I love it. It must make you feel so good seeing all the beautiful items that you could put to good use. Great job.

Oh Kris, I love it , love it. That bathroom is adorable. I love the way you have those hooks inside a frames. Yes, your Terry is a craftsman with his tools. Love the shower header. You saved that wonderful bench and will be enjoying it a long time. I really like that you used your grandmother's mirror. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteNICE!!!!!! YES! That bench is perfectly tweaked and goes so well with your bathroom! You hit it perfectly, Kris!
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely! The bench looks amazing
ReplyDeleteHugs Alessandra

So beautiful, Kris. I am so happy for your sunshine day. I remember those "no sunshine" for weeks!
ReplyDeleteKris, this is so nice! The fact that you had sunshine for the photos is a bonus! I'm beginning to think gray is all there is going to be until spring. It's really hard to tolerate.
ReplyDeleteThis is one beautiful bathroom!
ReplyDeleteMary
Your bathroom is beautiful Kris! We saw some sunshine today for the first time in what seems like weeks. It felt so nice!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Kris. The whole thing came together beautifully!! I love that old bench-it really sets the stage for the rest of the bathroom redo. GREAT valance...that Terry is something else....if you can dream it - he can do it. Maybe we should call you The Dream Team. I don't think Magic Johnson will mind. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteAll looks romantic and pretty in your bathroom Kris. Love, love, love the bench and wow that little chippy stool - she sure looks cute with her little slip (ruffle). I hope you are relaxing right now in your tub with a fragrant bath bomb and a glass of wine celebrating the day.

swooning for the entire bath...but especially love the bench and the tin tub/shower valance. Great job as always.
ReplyDeleteI love it Kris! It's so soothing. I can just picture a long soak by candlelight. Ahhhhh....

The bench blends in so well, like it was made for this bathroom :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous, you have such a way of decorating to make everything look beautiful and so cozy all at the same time. Love your guest bathroom. Love what Terry did over the shower entry. That stool is adorable. Love it all Kris
ReplyDeletedeezie
Just beautiful Kris! Love the bench and its pretty patina. The hooks in frames is such creative genius!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!!
XO Barbara
I'm swooning over the header Terry made for the shower. I'd love to tell John how to make one, he has every tool. The stool is adorable with it's skirt. Also like the candelabra.
ReplyDeleteCindy
The bench looks perfect there. What a lovely place to have a relaxing bath.
ReplyDeleteLove it all but I'm especially drawn to the "Bless You" tissue holder. Do you remember where you purchased it? Every bathroom should have a candelabra. Some lightly scented bath salts, flickering candles in the candelabra and a glass of bubbly and you're all set to wind down from your day. Your guests may never leave! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat bench looks like it was made for you bathroom! I love the white with a little rust showing. Glad that you didn't remove that.
ReplyDeleteHi Kris, I love your bathroom!!!! It is so big a beautiful anyone would love to come and take a relaxing bath there. Love, love, love it!
ReplyDeletexoxo Jo
How lovely and luxurious to bathe with a candelabra! The salvaged moldings trimming the shower and window are fabulous. You turned an ordinary run of the mill bathroom into a soft and romantic oasis. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun to come here and see the latest in your continuing nest feathering. Your guest bath is stunning, Kris. Love it all. Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteI am speechless. Every single space in your home (homes) is perfect and filled with your unique style. You need to write a book...
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteThat is one darling little stool.
Blessings,
Linda
First off, I am packing my bags - and bringing lots of extra candles - to take a loooong wonderful soak in that pretty bathroom!
ReplyDeleteWELL....not sure if it'd be in the budget or an option - but I bet your Grandmother's dresser would make a mighty fine cabinet instead of the built-ins currently there - sure would add to the fun there.
I have one and have seriously been considering doing so, and using the cabinets (if they come out without too much damage) in my craft room in basement. Of course it's on a list with more pressing issues so only time will tell!
Love the way you decorated this gorgeous guest bath, Kris! : - )
Beautiful job! So pretty. I will be your guest any day of the week.
ReplyDeleteWow, such a lovely bathroom. So big, too. I would never fit a bench in either of mine.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful bathroom and oh the bench...I would love to have a bench just like this:)
I am glad that the Ragu arrived...you are right you'll need to get busy with pasta and such!
xo
