White And Faded Guest Bathroom

As promised here is my guest bath with a few new change ups.

Remember this sweet little scrolly bench?!

With some tweaking and a few repairs it is now a nice bench in my guest bathroom.  Love the patina to this sweet piece.

I have this vintage candelabra. Anyone for a nice romantic bath?
Put this little chippy stool by the bath tub.
The candelabra can be put on this stool too for that long and relaxing bath ambience.

The old picture frames work nicely for towel hangers.

I am on the hunt for some old vintage door knobs to adorn these vanity cabinet doors.  They need a little bling and maybe a wax texture.  Hmmm hunting and thinking on this!

This old mirror is my great grandmothers off an old vintage dresser she had.  I still have not found a use for the old dresser that went with that mirror but I will!!!!!

A soft sweet faux lamb rug.

An old salvage piece over the window.

I had these three vintage salvage moldings that I had saved from a very long time ago.  I held onto them hoping some day I could figure out something to do with them.  Terry and his tools made a very nice header for over the shower curtain.  So happy that man has tools and can make pretty things for me!

The moldings have a real pretty pattern.  Can you imagine an old home with these moldings round the house!  Ahhhh beautiful.
Just a few new pieces and some tweaking to my guest bathroom.

Have a great week.  We saw sunshine for the first time in 8 days.  It was heaven!
Hugs,
Kris

  5. I love your chippy garden bench repurposed for your guest bath, Kris! And the darling little stool looks like a ballerina wearing a tutu. So cute! We're in the middle of removing UGLY wallpaper from our main bathroom, and you've got me thinking about what I want to hang back up on the walls when we're done. Vintage and salvage looks so much more interesting than new cabinets, etc. Good luck on your hunt for vintage doorknobs and thanks for the inspiration!

  7. Hi Kris,
I am pinning the idea using the frames for towel hooks. Great idea. I agree, the molding is a treasure and you use it beautifully in your decorating.

  15. Kris, this is so nice! The fact that you had sunshine for the photos is a bonus! I'm beginning to think gray is all there is going to be until spring. It's really hard to tolerate.

  18. Love it, Kris. The whole thing came together beautifully!! I love that old bench-it really sets the stage for the rest of the bathroom redo. GREAT valance...that Terry is something else....if you can dream it - he can do it. Maybe we should call you The Dream Team. I don't think Magic Johnson will mind. xo Diana

  26. I'm swooning over the header Terry made for the shower. I'd love to tell John how to make one, he has every tool. The stool is adorable with it's skirt. Also like the candelabra.

  28. Love it all but I'm especially drawn to the "Bless You" tissue holder. Do you remember where you purchased it? Every bathroom should have a candelabra. Some lightly scented bath salts, flickering candles in the candelabra and a glass of bubbly and you're all set to wind down from your day. Your guests may never leave! xoxo

  35. First off, I am packing my bags - and bringing lots of extra candles - to take a loooong wonderful soak in that pretty bathroom!

WELL....not sure if it'd be in the budget or an option - but I bet your Grandmother's dresser would make a mighty fine cabinet instead of the built-ins currently there - sure would add to the fun there.

I have one and have seriously been considering doing so, and using the cabinets (if they come out without too much damage) in my craft room in basement. Of course it's on a list with more pressing issues so only time will tell!

Love the way you decorated this gorgeous guest bath, Kris! : - )
