Hi Everyone.
Not much new to show on the new house. I thought instead of showing you a post on the hiccups we are living through, I would share some summer garden past pics from Junk Chic Cottage.
Since we are still enjoying summer I went back through some of my pictures of the past gardens we had since I started blogging back in 2012.
Just some pics for you to enjoy and see how the garden changed each year.

Have a wonderful new week ahead.

There's a lot of love in all these photos. It's not the end of an era, but the start of a new life and cycle of more beautiful blooms to come my friend.
ReplyDeleteYour gardens are always so beautiful. I know the new house will be fabulous too.
ReplyDeleteYou have always had pretty gardens! I know you are exited to create some lovely gardens at your new home.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful garden you've created and the old gardens were stunning, too!
ReplyDeleteYou are a seriously talented lady, Kris! I remember when I first saw your garden photos back in 2015 and I fell in love with your style! You make me want to run out and rip out everything in the garden and start all over!!
ReplyDeleteYour gardens sure have been pretty through the years! Your house decor may be neutral, but your gardens always explode with color. The best of both worlds, I would say. :)
ReplyDeleteYou really have a green thumb Kris. Your gardens are ALWAYS beautiful. So good looking back at all your hard work on them. WOW you would go crazy here in So CA in the garden - we can grow all year.
ReplyDeleteHope everything is coming along fine with the additions to your home. Any ideas when you will be moving in?
Have a great productive week.
Hugs,
Mary

Those are beautiful! I bet you've been itching to work your magic at the new place. The lounger is by far my favorite spot! It looks like the best spot in the world to relax! Cottage Iii will someday shine too. It's going to be fun to watch how you bring it's gardens to life!
ReplyDeleteYou've just proven that home is where the heart is. Your gardens make your house your home. ♥
ReplyDeleteKris you have got to have the greenest thumb! I have never seen flowers as big and gorgeous as yours. They are just beautiful. I have never seen the 2012 pictures before and I just love the blues that you have incorporated in them. It was so fun to see your style change and incorporate as you have. They are all so lovely. Have a lovely week!

Reading this had me smiling all the way through because I've pinned (over the years) just about every picture in this post. Love each and every year.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy so much. That is such a compliment. Thank you.

I enjoyed this memory walk tour of your gardens past and present! Since I'm a newer follower and love gardening I appreciate seeing these posts. You are a classy chic cottage decorator! I'm inspired by these images to do a post now using my white garden bench. Dan didn't bring it out this year because of some rust he wanted to get after but it's coming out! My mister wants to fix all of the chippy rusty stuff and make it look fresh and new so I'm up against a wall on that subject! LOL.... I'm hoping this week turns out reall excellent for you!
ReplyDeleteYou have always created such lovely vignettes in your gardens. I especially love the white bicycle with flower baskets.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a talented gardener and designer, Kris...it's a pleasure to look back on your stunning creations!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet walk down memory lane and your gardening talents are many. You not only have a green thumb you have a talent for creating such amazing vignettes too.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week!
Hugs,
jemma
I love seeing all your photos! Everything is so pretty I and I love the different items you are using for containers. The lounger is wonderful too. Thank you for sharing your pictures. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteEach one prettier than the last!
ReplyDeleteYour gardens over the years have been just gorgeous, and the new garden is off to a good start. Just think, next year, you can devote time to making this garden fabulous also. Not only do you have the proverbial green thumb, you have a very good sense of design.
ReplyDeleteWhat a feast for the eyes! You are so talented, Kris. I love all the looks. I like how they are different, but for each year everything goes together and is so aesthetically pleasing! Next spring, will you post about how you go through the process of planning your containers and other garden ornaments? I would love that!
ReplyDeleteWow, you could turn that into a magazine! Photo after photo of beautiful flowers and garden decor! I think my favorite has to be the 2013 garden lounger photos! I could sit on that lounge chair for hours and be so happy in those surroundings! What talent you have! I wish I had it!

Thanks Linda so much. Very sweet of you. I love that lounger for sure. Have a great new week.

Thanks so much for sharing these pictures, Kris. I have seen some of them, but some of them are brand new to me, from the early days! You are so talented. Your entire blog could just be a magazine on its own. I can't wait to see how this cottage evolves! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour gardens looked always beautiful, Kris. I especially love the combination of pink, blue and white flowers. Yours are so luscious. You have a green thumb for sure.

I enjoyed this. You are so talented inside and outside, great ideas. I am so happy you share your ideas and creativity with us, it inspires me.

Your gardens are always wonderful! It's raining in Brittany this morning, so it was a dalight to admire pictures of your garden while drinking tea and seeing my beautiful roses being drenched!
ReplyDeleteKris your gardens were/are all so lovely! You surely have a very green thumb! And where on earth did you get all those DARLING vintage watering cans???? I have looked everywhere at thrift stores and can't find a one. I wonder where they've all disappeared to??? If I could just fine one I'd be so happy! I love all the whimsey in your yards and gardens and want to go back and look again just for fun. Love your lounger and old bike and birdhouses and benches.. and of course... the watering cans (oh.. and the boots too). Hugs.. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that I found your blog. Such great posts! Tania at FARRAGOZ ~ Online Courses in The Art of Patina
ReplyDeleteIt was fun looking through all your past garden looks..To help you keep focused just imagine what you will be doing at your new cottage home. No doubt you will have some very nice looking gardens. It seem like things are finally moving forward and crossing my fingers you both will be moving in in a few weeks...Until you've been through a remodel you can never IMAGINE how much dust is involved...and is in every nook and cranny.
ReplyDeleteKris throughout the years I have enjoyed all your cottage gardens and the garden vignettes you create with love and your green thumb.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Wow, just wow! You have such a green thumb Kris, and a style all your own. Such prettiness!
ReplyDeletexxx
Kris, I am so sorry, I just about didn't see this post. I have always loved your outside décor . You could actually have your own magazine. There's not one shot that isn't worthy of being published. I know your new home will be awesome and all your new neighbors will be so happy you live close to them. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteKris, my takeaway on this post is that your garden is amazing year after year. Absolutely gorgeous, romantic and dreamy. Everything a garden should be. (Btw, that door mat in a few of your photos looks almost exactly like my kitchen rugs!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your gorgeous garden
