The sun is coming out after the storm. Yeah!!!! After all the disappointment in the floor situation and delays on the garage build we finally are on a good path. I am almost afraid to type that for fear of jinxing something!!!
Yep! love seeing worker bee's busy in the backyard! |
Yeah!!! garage footings and floor poured! Ahhhh we have waited 6 weeks for this day! |
The floor guys have been busy installing the new floors and new moldings inside the house so I hope they will be done by tomorrow and out of my house forever!!!!
There is so much dust everywhere from the tearing out of the floor and then the cutting and installation of the new floors. So I am going to have to spend a lot of time in there cleaning down the new appliances, walls and blinds and windows. Ugh!!!
Hoping to have some sweet floor pics to share with you this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed I will not see the floor guys there on Saturday when I arrive at the house!
Have a great weekend ahead.
Hugs,
Kris

Progress!! I know you had to be frustrated with all of the delays. I have felt that way on our new house build too. We are finally seeing a lot more progress as well. Can't wait to see your home after you move in and add your sweet touches.
ReplyDeleteWhew! It's about time!!! It will be so great to have that garage done AND the floors done so that you can move forward with actually moving in and living there. I assume they are working on the basement, too? Hope so! Have a great weekend. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWow, you have a lot going on! It may be frustrating but oh what fun it will be before long!!! I'm anxious to see your new chippy whites too! Things are moving along in the right direction! Have a great weekend!

Hey I used to have that exact same table! Be nice to it, it was a great workhorse of a table until I sold it for $60. I'm so glad you're see things move ahead now. Enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteKris, Hooray...that garage floor looks awesome and it's a big start. I like what you said about watching worker bees. I remember a saying, "Work fascinates me, I could watch it all day." LOL I think soon you and Terry will be the worker bees...remember you are the Queen.:):) I am getting excited for you. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteWow, Kris, that's terrific!! Oh, I know, construction seems to take FOREVER!! You just want to move in, get settled, and put it in the past! Mine lasted 8 months, but I lived in the house through it....in the guest room. Hey I saved 8 months of rent, so it was worth it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad for some good news! I pray it continues in a positive direction!
ReplyDeleteGOOD NEWS!!! I will continue to pray that the weather is lovely and no more set backs.
ReplyDeleteCarla
Progress is awesome!! Fingers crossed that it's all smooth sailing from here on out! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt actually looks beautiful! Great news!
ReplyDeleteYes!! So glad you're happy :).
ReplyDeleteNow I think that table needs some love and you're just the right person to show it.

Oh it looks like a nice big garage is going to be there and they did a nice job with the flatwork. That garage will go up fast now once you are past the 7 day curing! I bet the house will look so great to you once you walk in and see the floors and trim all done. Have a great weekend- it's looking like a beauty here in Michigan!
ReplyDeleteHip hip hurray! The garage floor is poured and the floors should be done! (At least if you're cleaning, it means they are done!) Hope things start moving along quickly now. So excited for you!
ReplyDeleteOnce the concrete cures it should go fast. You have a lovely back yard.
ReplyDeleteKris I am so happy for you. This has been such a huge transition for you two. But the end result will be amazing and will last a lifetime. I love how big your garage is going to be, lots of room! Hang in there dear one!

I hope the floor dudes are there even as I type! Your back yard is so flat and large! You are going to have so much fun fluffing it once the garage is up and done!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

How exciting to FINALLY see some work going on! Just be glad you aren't LIVING in the house while all that work is being done inside! I did that two different places.. lived in it while finishing building.. and the dust was horrible. You have had to be very patient my friend! I feel for you... so hard to be patient when chomping at the bit to get to the fun stuff (decorating) and settling in. Can hardly wait for you to get to that point and am excited to see all that you do here at JCCIII! You and Terry are DEFINITELY worker bees too! Enjoy the weekend! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteThis is good news! And I, for one, also enjoys pictures of the renovation that will lead to beautiful pictures later!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see all is going smoothly so far. Once all the dust is cleared and things in their proper place, you can relax and swear to never ever move again!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kris
ReplyDeleteSuch great news. I am so happy for you. It will be done before you know it. Enjoy this glorious weekend

Sweet relief! I can feel your excitement and hope all goes well so that you will be moving in shortly.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend ~ FlowerLady
While that cement and outdoor space really shows the progress, I just got the willies in my stomach when you started talking about dust on your NEW appliances and the rest of the house! Oh my gosh, That would be what I'd call one of those drinking days as opposed to ice cream. :O Wax on, wax off! Groundhog day, and all that!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I love your enthusiasm! Keep up the great progress and keep us posted. And seriously, Kris...I think you can come up with a DIY project for that table!!! Surprise us!

I'm so happy to see some progress at your house! I know you've waited so long on the garage. Hope you get to work your decor magic in your new house soon!
ReplyDeleteGlad that things are moving forward and you can count down to move-in day!
ReplyDeleteSoon you will be in your new home and getting everything done the way you like. Can hardly wait to see it all come together. Hang in there gal.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Mary
Things are really poppin' now! Hopefully this will be the last time you have to clean up major construction dust in the house. That's never a lot of fun... That little table is a survivor! It's like it is saying, "hang in there!". xoxo
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that I am so very happy and excited for you!!!!!
