I am a retired RN. I love all things white, chippy, vintage and cottage chic. I am married to my best friend and handyman who helps me make our cottage chic. You can read more on my About Me page.
Darling houses.

Your new neighborhood is dreamy! I think it was meant to be.
ReplyDeleteon no!! renovation is really painful.. currently I'm going through that process.. I can understand..
ReplyDeleteHang in there. We will survive this.
DeleteHugs,
Kris
yes!! we will..
DeleteSince I just finished that and am still in the middle of it with outside, I so relate. Hang tough.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful neighbourhood Kris..
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty homes.
And your flower boxes though! I have always admired your flowers, always so lush and beautiful . You inspire me to plant!
Such a cute neighborhood, Kris. But I love hearing your accent! You have the cutest little accent! I love listening to you narrate your videos. :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way....it's me, Ricki Jill, not Trip....I'm on his computer looking at blogs!
ReplyDeleteHang in there sweet friend - the reward will be terrific. Your window box is so pretty with all your flowers. For some reason I can't open your video's.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the week.
Lots of hugs,
Mary
Your new neighborhood is just perfect! Love all the sweet houses!
ReplyDeleteYou are the most non-whiny person I know! What a precious neighborhood-exactly right where you should be.

Love that neighborhood and hope I get to see it in person soon. What a sweet area to live in...and I think you have held up really well after knowing all the stress(es) you have been through. If it ain't one thing-it's another--and you have rolled with the punches every time and even saved yourself $100 here and there without complaint.
ReplyDeleteSoon all the work and worry part will be behind you and you can just enjoy doing what you do best--decorating and nesting. Hang in there! You will have a bang-up fall for sure- I see some white pumpkins in the windowbox! xo Diana
Beautiful neighborhood and a great way to feel better by looking down the street at your lovely neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs as you get thru this next step.
Oh I'm sorry to hear that things have not been going your way. I can relate. Patience is not something I have a lot of either. Your flowers are beautiful though!
ReplyDeleteYour neighborhood pics are lovely. Reminds me of my old neighborhood in Elmhurst. It's been a month since we moved to our new house and it has been interesting. The year I decide to move near the water and no we are experiencing record floods! Thankfully I'm high enough up to not be affected. Your window box is lovely! It won't be long now and you'll be settled in to your new cottage home! I love reading your posts because you're inspiring me to start decorating our new place!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely neighborhood, Kris. What a great area to live in. Soon you'll be done with the renovations and all the trouble and then you'll be able to enjoy you beautiful new home.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Julia
I am finally having a chance to catch up on blogs and I am so sorry to hear about your floor ordeal. Steve is always hesitant to take on house projects because of his fear of glitches.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything is finished before too long.
What a lovely neighborhood Kris! Beautifully maintained homes with varied rooflines for interest and character, and the sidewalk is a nice touch..something you don't see that often. I noticed one side of the street has a sidewalk, which is something I've never noticed before, although maybe I haven't been paying attention. ;)
ReplyDeleteHang in there, because before you can say 'I hate renos', it will all be over and you'll be the proud owner of a pretty home to call your own.

beautiful neighborhood thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteOH, finally, I can see your video, Kris! And the best of all? I can hear your voice. Your block is very similar to ours! YES! Cuteness upon cuteness, one house after another with great charm. We are hanging in there with you dear heart. You will soon be in your home and making new friends and enjoying every season of your lives.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the rest!
Kris, you are not a whiner. The problems you have encountered would cause a lesser person to head for the hills. Your neighborhood is simply charming. It would be very refreshing and uplifting to take a stroll, enjoying the sights. Soon (we hope and pray!) your home will be finished and folks walking down the street will say, "that is an adorable cottage!". Hope your day is splendid...xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi Kris, I have known you for over 3 or more years and to hear your voice was so fun for me. It really helps to connect! Sometimes it's really good to whin! You've been through alot and you are so ready to set down roots and just live! Your neighborhood is so darling it reminds me of mine, peaceful and beautiful. The people hear are so beautiful! People show up with dinner for me. Now if the perfect man would knock on my door I would be set! lol I'm sending much loving energy your way.

Kris, I love the street where you live. So calm and serene. Your flower box is gorgeous and I know that it will all come together really soon and, of course, then your house will be the cutest on the block..Happy Wednesday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness there is so much charm in this neighborhood and it seems the homes are well taken care of, being older homes. I bet a sense of calm washes over you when you drive onto your beautiful tree lined street. I know it sure would me. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the frustration you all are going through when you run into unexpected roadblocks. But I know when it's all done and you move in, you'll appreciate knowing things are done right. We recently pulled out of a contract after the home inspection showed so many issues needing to be addressed (a few big and long list of small). We're at the age where we want "move in" ready...or at least close to it. Not sure there is such a thing in our price range and location of looking.

I do get to enjoy natures beauty every day in my garden. As soon as I open the curtains, I see and smell it...wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYour neighborhood is charming, Kris...and I love how the new floors are looking!
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming neighborhood! I love it. When the pressure gets on inside...go outside and walk that lovely street. :) xo
ReplyDeleteHang in there dear friend! Soon it will all be done and you can decorate, move in and enjoy your new cottage home! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteA lovely neighborhood that's been loved and cared for through the decades. There's nothing like an older community where the houses have individual character and the trees are mature and give that refreshing shade on the walks. I love it! xo
ReplyDeleteOh what a picture perfect neighborhood! I'm guessing that some of those added on a 2nd story? This is going to be the cutest in the winter with snow laden home and their yards. Rooting for you and praying there are no more surprise expenses!! Have a great coming weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful neighborhood! Just screams, it's so friendly here!!!
