I interrupt this decor blog for a small little post today to brag just a little bit. I know you all come here to see cottage chippy and whites but today I am going to brag and show you two of the most precious things in my life.
Just when you think you could not love anyone more than your own children they give you grandchildren. We took my two grand girls for their Christmas pictures.
So I want to show them off.
This is Abby she is 7 years old and such a kind and sweet girl. She is growing up so fast. I can see it in this picture. |
This is Charlotte 16 months old. She is full of mischief and fun. She is always happy. |
This picture is one of my favorites taken. Charlotte is saying Yep!!! I drop my letter in the box for Santa. She was very excited. |
They had face painting for the kids. The artist that did up the kids faces was fabulous. Abby wanted to be a panda bear. |
Charlotte at 16 months old is a little scared of Santa but when you put a gift in the mix she is all in lol! |
Charlotte was painted up to be Rudolph. |
The firefighters have some of the sweetest kids and they all enjoyed being together and seeing Santa. |
Thank you for indulging me a little bragging time. I love these sweet angels and love living close enough to see them often and help my daughter out with babysitting. They really make mine and Terry's hearts flutter.
Hope you are enjoying getting ready for the big day. It will be here before we know it.
I am trying this year to really enjoy the simple things about the holidays. One of them was taking the day to go for pictures with the girls and then a big family dinner after. So much fun for all of us.
Have a great rest of the week and wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Kris
Kris, Those girls are so adorable, how have you not been bragging on them. LOL I love the sister pictures. Abby is growing, I can not believe she is seven already. I loved seeing the painted faces, kids really enjoy that. Nice that the Santa party went well for all of them. Little Charlotte looked ready to open that gift. :):) Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteOh, Kris, I enjoy your beautiful home decor posts, but I love when you share about your family most. I think we actually spend so much time working on the spaces in our homes just to support our love of family - that's what truly connects us all. Your granddaughters are precious. I can definitely see their personalities shining through in these pictures. Abby is turning into such a lovely young lady and you can just see the mischief in Charlotte's eyes. PS
We got a dusting of snow yesterday evening. It's all gone now but it was beautiful and rare for early December. It's been many years since we've had any.
Proud you should be! It is always fun to watch them grow and develop their own personalities. Memories are such treasures! They are lovely!!
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable, Kris! Grandchildren are truly a blessing!
ReplyDeleteAww, what a sweet post! Your granddaughters are just beautiful. Fabulous pictures of a fun party for the kids! xoxo
ReplyDeleteKris..they are so precious and growing up so fast...treasure each and every moment with them...I am so happy that Terry was able to work in a Dept that is close to your family...a real blessing!!! Enjoyed the photos!!! Have a very Merry Weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey are both adorable....just nearly as much as 7 other grandgirls I know. hahhhaa...xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet little darlings! I envy you having granddaughters. I don't have any grands and know I'm missing something very special. So good that you live close to them. These days, families are just too far apart.
ReplyDeleteThey are both so precious - what beautiful green and blue eyes they have! Some of my fondest childhood memories are those spent with my maternal grandparents. I have no doubt that will be Abby & Charlotte's too as you and Terry create such beautiful memories with them. Such an important relationship in a child's life. xo
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Kris, nothing better that two sweet, beautiful little girls and you must be so proud. What a great time those kids must have had at the firehouse. I can remember from my own how special it was just to go to the firehouse and then to have Christmas thrown in was almost too much to handle. I know you will, but keep these two little ones tight as they grow up so fast. Jerry and I were just talking this morning, as we dropped our grandson (just turned 24) and his girl friend off at the airport for a trip to Ireland and Scotland, where did all the time go? It went so fast, I could cry..Happy Holidays, xxo Judy
ReplyDeleteSimply ADORABLE ! You are BLESSED !
ReplyDeleteI loved this post, Kris. What a blessing that Terry works at such a family loving firehouse. That is awesome! Not only to appreciate their employees, but FAMILY too! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.

ReplyDeleteWhat adorable sweethearts you have!!! This took me back to our Firehall Christmas parties back in the 60's... I remember getting those plastic tea sets... a few years in a row. lol
ReplyDeleteWell, you KNOW I think your grandgirls are adorable!!! I can't believe how grown up Abby is and Charlotte is getting so big. Her personality is really starting to pop out. Love that picture of her by the "mailbox".
