I found this sign yesterday at Home Goods. This is my favorite saying. |
Love seeing some sun this morning. |
I am starting to think Spring and Easter. Pulling out some Easter decor. |
This cute garden bunny and all his carrots is out on the kitchen island. |
Speaking of basset hounds I caught Peggy just as she was starting her roll into basking in the sun for a nap. It is so great to see sunshine today. Have a fabulous new week ahead. Hugs, Kris |
I got some Happy Mail today after I posted so I am adding this big THANK YOU to Julie @ Julies Creative Lifestyle Blog. Just to be nice and sweet she sent me these beautifully crocheted pot holders for the new house and also the pretty white scarf. I am always in awe of the beautiful things she knits and crochets. I love them both Julie thank you thank you. Aren't blogging friends the sweetest peeps on earth. I did a little Happy Dance at the Mail box today.
Dear Kris,
ReplyDeletelove your beautiful home and Peggy is the sweetest! The old clock housing with the nest is so neat!
Hugs,
Karen B.
Loving your rabbit and carrots! Peggy is so cute.
ReplyDeleteI love that sign...gratitude is everything!
ReplyDelete:-) I decorated for Easter / Spring on Saturday .. we received 6 inches of snow Saturday night. At least it is spring in my house. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe are thrilled to see the sun too. Februarys in Texas used to be sunny but not in the last few years. What a sweet pup. Have a wonderful Monday.
ReplyDeleteI love your bunny 'nest'. It is so cute. I love the bassets, too, mostly because they were my brother's favorite dog and I love their 'bark' (which sounds like a 'roll of sound' to me)...lol
ReplyDeleteThe room is beautiful, Kris, and I am so glad I got to see it with my own eyes. It is even prettier than your pictures show! Hope you have a really good week! xo Diana
Oh those sweet floppy ears on Peggy. What a cutie. Love your bunny arrangement too Kris. Your living room looks so lovely.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Sissie

ReplyDeleteDachshund love the sun too. Most dogs do but Dachshunds follow the sun in the room.

Aw, Peggy is so cute. My aunt had a couple of Bassett Hounds and they were sweet, gentle dogs but very disobedient. They didn't even pay attention to her when she called their names! lol I have not begun to bring out spring decor yet but will probably do so in the next couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteHi Kris, I love your bunny decoration with the carrot - so cute as is Peggy too! Aww Kris thanks for mentioning about the items I crocheted and sent to you. I too am happy that I made you happy today! Hope you have a wonderful week. :0)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julie xo
What a sweet bunny!! I need to go shopping, not that I need anymore stuff, but some things are too cute to pass up! And Julie is the sweetest and makes beautiful items. I have been the lucky recipient myself....including a red pot holder. Perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteAww!! sweet peggy!! cuteness overloaded.. :D..
ReplyDeleteAwwww she's so cute!! and so are your Easter pretties, too. xox
ReplyDeleteOh Kris that picture of Miss Peggy is so cute. Yes, I could smooch her also. You know how much I love dogs.
ReplyDeleteLove the gifts you received from Julie. I got to meet her a couple years ago when she was vacationing in So CA. We had a great lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. She is a very sweet lady and I liked her very much.
So glad you are having sunshine. We are expecting rain at any minute, which we badly need.
Have a special sunshine week.
Love your bunny - so cute. I will be getting my Easter decoration out tomorrow.
Hugs to Miss Peggy and you,
Mary
Oooo . . . sun! I have nearly forgotten what that looks like! (We did see a peek of it today, but it was short-lived.)
ReplyDeleteRegardless, I am going to choose a grateful heart too! Love your new sign! Truly, my Father is so good to me, I can't help but be grateful!
Peggy. Positively precious!

ReplyDeletePeggy looks like she is a real joy to have in the family. the ears alone will keep a permanent smile on your face. Love the bunny decor, I'm starting to gather my Spring bunny fun.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid a neighbor had a basset puppy and it would make us all fall down in giggles as it tripped over its own ears!!
ReplyDeletePeggy is so sweet! The bunny is very cute

That is the cutest little dog! So sweet. Hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteOmg gosh that picture of the basset with the big floppy ears is the cutest! Love the adorable Easter Bunny on the island. That is a great little phrase we all need to practice - what a great find. I wish I had a Home Goods nearby- all I have is a TJ’s and they never have as much fun stuff.
ReplyDeleteAw, isn't that the the cutest pup? Your Spring decor looks wonderful. I'm ready for some sunshine! We've been very grey and foggy.
ReplyDeleteLove the Basset and the Bunny centerpiece :) They both look great with your decor!
ReplyDeletePeggy is adorable. Our fur babies make our hearts melt. The sign is such a lovely find and it looks fabulous. Love your Easter centerpiece. I think most of us are ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheerful and happy post! Your grateful heart sign is so sweet, Kris, and I love the bunny with carrots! So cute. Hello, Peggy! Enjoy the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteThis post makes me smile, Kris...such a lovely home...and Peggy is such a LOVE.
ReplyDeleteThat basset pic is adorable! I remember those days too.
ReplyDeletePeggy is the ultimate focal point in any room but especially that particular room!
Our little Mason spent a night outside Friday night during a storm when a gate had been left open. We searched the neighborhood, posted all the sites we could find and spent a sleepless night. While making posters for our street the next morning for our neighborhood our neighbor from far behind us came to the door saying his german shepherd was growling at something black under a big pile of metal in his yard. I managed to get him to crawl out of a 6" opening, soaking wet and muddy, scared to death.
It was a horrible 19 hours that turned out okay. I know you can imagine my grateful heart.
A kiss to Peggy,
Dewena
Peggy is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWonderful handmade gift!
Have a beautiful week.
xoxo Su

The sign you found is so so perfect.. and the way we should all start each day! I try... sometimes it is not easy when things are going wrong or we are upset about things.. but having a grateful heart is so important... even for the little tiny things that bless us. Your sweet Peggy must be such a love to have in your lives. Your bunny is so darling.... I always love seeing how light and bright your home is.... and sunshine is one of those little blessings that we must be thankful for.... this time of year! xoxoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteThe sign is pretty and a wonderful addition to your décor. It's great that you got some sunshine. We got a bit of snow. Rather unusual and I'm glad that it thawed already.
ReplyDeleteBasset hounds are my favorite small dogs, Kris. They are just so adorable with their large ears and I always enjoy seeing pictures of your furry babies. When hubby took our trash to the community garbage can last Friday, he found a puppy that someone had dumped. He brought her home of course but the kitties are not too excited.
xoxo

Kris, love, love, love those floppy ears!!! Love your new sign too. Beautiful saying. I plan on going to Home Goods on Saturday so maybe I will find one. That is the cutest bunny basket and what a nice gift. Blogging friends are so wonderful..Happy Thursday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteBasset hounds are the cutest dogs and ever so much more so as pups. The youngest one I had ever seen was about 8weeks old. New to it's human parents, they had her in to the vets for a 1st puppy visit. She was laying on an end table in the waiting room. I swear she looked to be all loose skin and ears laying there. They are not very common here in California, but I do have one acquaintance who has adopted two smallish brothers recently. She is enamored with them also. Your house looks so bright and cheery, almost as if Spring has already arrived. This winter seems extra long to me, I can't wait to feel warm and bask in sunlight again.
ReplyDeletePeggy is just so adorable....I am happy that you found that sign as you are truly one who does have a grateful heart...you find the bright side of everything ... you are a beautiful soul Kris.
ReplyDeleteSo looking forward to the reveal! You keep good company and make me smile!
