Hellooooo my fellow bloggers and followers.
Hope your week is going great. We have been in the 80's this week and we are loving it. Mr. Winter has finally left and Spring/Summer temps are here.

This is the wallpaper I found to do just the one wall in my 3 way room. Since I am living small my 2nd bedroom has 3 purposes. My office area, guest room area and make up area.
I wanted to use this wallpaper to give a little texture and fun to my office wall. |
|
I added Anita's sweet cherub she gifted me. I painted her white and then tried to have some of the gold come through to match the chippy piece. I am not sure I am sold on her this way just yet. I may bring her back to the original gold or maybe all white. She is special so I want her to look just right. |
|
I think the wallpaper gives a little bit of texture to my whites. This is the area I spend a lot of my time. |
|
Since I do spend a lot of time at my desk and computer I like to surround myself with the things that make me smile. |
|
This is a gorgeous vintage mirror was gifted to my by a special friend for my birthday. I hung it on this chippy cabinet door. |
|
I got the corbels on my trip and they make a nice shelf for my angels and Madonnas. |
|
I have a place for all my catalogs and magazines. |
|
The front left corner of the room is my make up area. When you live in a 1949 cottage there was no such thing as double sinks and make up areas when this house was built. This corner is my area for my jewelry and makeup. |
|
This is the new chair I got on my trip. It is perfect for my make up area. Very comfy and I like that it rolls on the wood floors. |
|
In the right side of this room is where I have a guest bed available if I have an over night guest. |
|
I love this gray pretty cottage chair I have had for a long time. I added some pillows I got on the trip to this chair. Just love this chair it is very comfy. |
|
Here is another treasure I got on my trip. I love this saying. It is so perfect for our small cottage home living. Terry framed it for me and now it is hanging in the living room. My slipcovers are due here tomorrow or Friday and then I can hopefully do a reveal of my living room change a roo!!!
Have a great rest of the week. Hugs, Kris |

This room looks perfect, Kris. I love the wallpaper, and everything else in here! It all fits together just right. Your previous post was wonderful. Thanks for sharing all of the shops you visited. My friend and I are planning a trip down there this summer, so your list of shops was very helpful. The cherub you received is so pretty. I do like how you painted her, and left just enough gold showing through. Almost time to get outside and put flowers out!
ReplyDeleteLove to you.

Oh I love your 3 way room, so pretty and serves all 3 purposes so well. The wallpaper is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe wallpaper is perfect, Kris! Adds just the right touch to make your chippy whites pop! Love your new treasures also, and can't wait to see the living room!
ReplyDeleteLove your new wallpaper!
ReplyDeleteKris, I love the way you have divided the little bedroom. Works perfect for your needs. You new sign just fit the way I was raised. A friend once said, "how did your mother raise all of you in that little house?" I said she stacked us kids in there like cord wood. LOL. Blessings to you. I know you are loving this weather. I have yet to get my flowers. xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI love love love it. The wallpaper is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so amazing, Kris...and I absolutely LOVE rooms with more than one option. A little guest room/makeup area/office space is just perfect in my book.
ReplyDeleteIt's all so pretty, Kris. Thank you for sharing your fabulous decorating. Love your home and the sweet saying your hubby framed for you.
ReplyDeleteoh dear! it is so lovely..
ReplyDeleteNice work! That paper makes a beautiful addition. xox
ReplyDeleteNow that is what I call living large in a small space! And it's absolutely lovely. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Kris! It's lovely and a great use of space. The wallpaper is the icing on the cake! Jane

BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT space for Angélique the angel! KRIS! She looks perfect there!!!! I knew you'd have a blast figuring out how you'd prefer her...all white, a little white, gold.....either way, HAVE FUN!
ReplyDeleteYour room resembles my studio so much. All the white and the things that bring us joy. I have yet to photograph the CROWN that I adore so much that you sent me.....I have to find the right photo shoot styling to show how much I love it!
Every piece you've put together is marvelous. The wall paper is so subtle but gives a big bang of texture and I just know you're loving it!
Amazing. A fun surprise to see the angel this morning before I head off to teach another sort of angels: teenagers. They are so cute...
Love the wallpaper, Kris, and the way you made this room multi-functional. Truth be told, I have a room similarly structured, the only difference being an empty space in the middle where it is a bit bigger. It's really wasted space, whereas yours is 100% useful. I love the framed words - perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this posting. Now you have my creativity churning. I too have a SMALL room with a quest bed, my creative space and our office. It looks hodge lodge now but you've spurred me on to get more creative. The room looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Betty. I have to be very creative with every inch of living space in this house. Have a great rest of the week.
DeleteHugs,
Kris
I don’t think you could have picked a prettier wallpaper for this space Kris. It’s so delicate and brings just the right amount of texture to your pretty office/guest room.

Hi Kris! Such a sweet room! You've managed to make it multi - purpose without being clumsy or cluttered! Love all of your new finds, especially that rolling chair! How cool is that? Very charming! Come on slipcovers! I'm so excited to see what you're up to in the living room! Take care and enjoy your weekend!💝
ReplyDeleteEverything is so pretty and I am loving your wallpaper choice. That sweet gift is pretty on the arch. Suggestion, I would let a bit more gold show. It blends in a bit too much and it is a special piece as you mentioned. Just my two $.02. Your makeup chair is cute and love t he magazine rack you found at Home Goods.
ReplyDelete88 degrees here too but I am not loving it since our Central air broke. Waiting for a part and wi ll be fixed Monday and I think it gets cooler here next week. John ran out and bought a portable one that vents out t he window. My savior!!!

It does add that extra bit of texture! Gorgeous choice of wallpaper.

I'm so loving the wallpaper. I know many people hate wallpaper but like most decorating trends, it's making a comeback AND the patterns are so beautiful! What a calm, peaceful home you're creating! Love it! On a side note, since you are the 'outdoor bicycle queen' (at least in my book!), once you painted yours, did you seal them with anything? I just scored one and painted it white using Rustoleum spray paint. It says it's for outdoor use so I'm thinking it should be fine with just touch ups once a year or so?
ReplyDeleteOh Kris, I love it. This room is a perfect example of living in a small home and making it work! I think I need a make-up area - love the idea! It all looks so beautiful - the wallpaper is the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are finally warm! I finally had to turn on the a/c last night; the humidity was awful. Have a good weekend!
hugs,
Cecilia
Hi Kris, your room is so beautiful! I love the little angel that I gave you sitting on your makeup station. She just fits in perfect. You really know how to make a room look sensational! Have a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteXoxo Jo
Hi Kris
ReplyDeleteLove the wallpaper* it adds just the right amount of fun in that space, its so pretty.I adore the whole room, you really made such good choices in such a small space. Love every bit of it

You truly are making the best of your new small home! I really like how you have the second bedroom set up to incorporate everything you need. We have never lived in a place with double sinks, so I don't even know what that luxury is like! ;-)
ReplyDeleteKris, such an efficient little spot but also so pretty! Your mirror gift is really beautiful and that framed saying is just the most perfect touch for your sweet cottage. I love that you can keep all your special pretties close by..Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy this beautiful weather..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteSo lovely and peaceful a setting. I adore the angel!
ReplyDeleteThat is the perfect wallpaper, Kris. Just the right amount of "print" on it-it adds a bit of flair without overwhelming you.
ReplyDeleteI love that little room you have-it is the perfect use for that second bedroom.
Working away today at the office. Whoo Hooo...(I think)...xo Diana
Such pretty wallpaper Kris. Your all purpose room is so pretty. Good to see you can have it all, guest room, makeup area and your desk. Enjoy your warm temps and your new look. xo
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how spacious the room looks with having three functions. It doesn't look cluttered in the least bit. You have such a lovely zone to work in, especially with the addition of the pretty wallpaper. I have been on the hunt for over a year for corbels just like yours. They are so hard to come by here. I love the sentiment of your new sign - so much truth in that!
ReplyDeleteSo Chic and gorgeous - no wonder you love spending time in it!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that pretty wall paper and it really looks great on that one wall. I did something similar many years ago to one wall in my bedroom. I know you are having fun decorating your new home.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day and weekend.
Julie xo
Hi Kris,
ReplyDeleteI like the wall paper, it makes it all come together.
Have a great weekend!
Carla
Kris, I love the wallpaper! It's the perfect backdrop for all your pretty white accessories; the wallpaper makes them pop! I think your office and vanity areas are adorable!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks wonderful, Kris! I think your wallpaper choice is just lovely. Your rooms are always so fresh and breezy.
ReplyDeleteI love it all! As usual..... had to go look at every little piece in that room.... it's just a perfect 3 in 1 room........ the guest bed looks so inviting.. and love that chair with the checked cushion.. and the little wall baskets for your magazines. I never have enough room for all of my beloved (old friends) magazines... can't bear to part with them. The wallpaper fits so well.. is it a light gray? Hard to tell sometimes if the photos on your blog are losing some of the color or are really gray. Hope you are enjoying the weekend and I'm looking so forward to seeing your floating deck one of these days!
ReplyDeleteThe wallpaper is perfect for Your romantic space. The make up corner is such lovely
ReplyDeleteHugs
I'm just now getting caught up on blogs and I love this room! It's always great when you can have a multi purpose room like this. The wallpaper is the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that wallpaper just takes it to a whole different level Kris and your shabby whites definitely pop against it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your room reveal at Create, Bake, Grow & Gather this week. I'm delighted to be featuring your room at tomorrow nights party and pinning too.... my readers love your cottage!
Hugs,
Kerryanne
Enchanting
ReplyDeleteLove the angel gift, I believe my angel looks like yours, but mine has a broken
ReplyDeleteWing and is of concrete and I love that she was unearthed from a garden shop where it was out doors and moss and vines attached to the piece. You will have fun moving your angel about finding new spaces to share with
Your angel.
Beautiful space Kris
Xx

Kris, your cherub is beautiful in white. I have some ornate gold wood items that I've painted white. I think the white is better if you have painted furniture paired with it. Lovely!
