He is such a love. The puppy training is going great. He and Terry go to puppy class on Tuesday evenings. So far Buddy is the best one in puppy class.
He still is hesitant to be around big dogs but loves the smaller dogs in his class.
He knows how to sit, stay, fetch, release, give and leave. He has mastered walking on his leash with his harness. He is such a smarty pants!!!
He is doing great with the potty training.
He is a big snuggler and loves to play with his toys. It has been fun to see him growing into such a great little dog.
Glad we took the plunge and got this sweet guy.
Have a great rest of the week. Enjoy. Kris |
Kris, It may have been the wallpaper because the door looks good on the gray wall. I like the angels wings like you have them now. I have always like the window. They look good together at your entry. I like that you are training Mr. Buddy the dog. My grandson's dog Benny (Layla's dog) goes to class and he's is a good doggie. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteLove the way the door looks built into the wall, so pretty! Buddy is adorable!!! Good luck on your rug hunt, I finally found something that works for me and didn't cost a fortune and what a huge difference it makes to the living room. Have a happy day Kris! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteWow! The door came out amazing. Love the saying on it too. Buddy is just the cutest - love his sweet expression. He looks like he would be the smartest in his class. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteKris, the door looks amazing. I love that you added the saying to it. And, Mr Buddy is just the cutest.
ReplyDeleteThat door turned out amazing! And you sweet puppy is adorable.
ReplyDeleteThe door turned out fabulous....it looks perfect in that spot! Buddy is soooooo adorable. I'm glad he is adjusting to his new home too. So sweet.....

Look how big Buddy is getting! And such a smart boy too! I love that he goes to puppy class and I'm not surprised he's the smartest one there. He's absolutely adorable! And that door looks wonderful! I love big architectural pieces like that and you've managed to make it even prettier than I imagined. You picked a great spot for it too. Good job!
ReplyDeleteOh I love it, I think it is the perfect spot in your entry. You guys are so talented.
ReplyDeleteLove the door changes. I think it looks great against your wall color.
ReplyDeleteHad to get that over with. Can I just say, I am so happy you got Buddy. Not only is he handsome as anything he's a good boy.
Their faces are killer aren't they. Peanut and Reeses faces look the same. John says, perfect ear to head ratio.
Enjoy your day and kisses Buddy

Cuddles to the adorable and clever Buddy!!
ReplyDeleteYour door/mirror looks fantastic; good job using the quote!
Which grey paint is on your walls?
Ha Ha Ha
ReplyDeleteI think the door looks wonderful and is perfect where you placed it! Sometimes making over a piece several different times is what needs to happen in order to get it just how we want it! I've found that some vintage pieces just take a little more time. Buddy looks adorable! So glad you are enjoying his company! Love and hugs!
ReplyDeleteWow...that door is lovely. You said you were going to make it pretty and you sure exceeded.
ReplyDeleteKris, I don't even worry about you anymore about your quests for treasurers. You always find just the perfect thing and I love the rework on the beautiful door. I did love it with the wallpaper, but it looks great without it too. That sign is such a perfect saying for you. You always leave "something good" at the end of the day. Sweet Buddy is really growing. He looks and sounds like a very good boy. Too cute..Happy Weekend..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative mind you have! You always amaze me with your creativity...
ReplyDeleteThat door is to die for -- you guys did a fabulous job! And the quote is awesome. You did the right thing by taking down that wallpaper - genius:) xo Kathleen
ReplyDeleteThe door looks wonderful and the quote is great, Kris. I can't believe you got rid of the wallpaper already but I think it was a good decision.
ReplyDeleteBuddy is such a cutie pie and so clever. Sending some belly/rubs for him. :)
xo Julia
Good morning!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKris, now that you sanded down the door, it looks even more beautiful. At first sight, I fell in love with the door but as you revealed more of the wood, it just oozes out vintage beauty. And I do like the walls without the wallpaper! You guys are so good at trial and error and revamping, recycling and renovation! Perfection. Now, for that rug! And Mr. Buddy just fits right in with his buff color! LOL!
I surely would have given up long before you on the quest for that door (no patience!), but it turned out great. I think you were smart to remove the wallpaper (again, no patience on my part). A rug is going to completely cozy that room up for winter! Buddy is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe door turned out lovely and I love the quote you place on it at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteBuddy looks like a little sweetie peetie.
Happy Fall ~ FlowerLady
I love the quote on the bottom of the door and what an inspiring message for visitors! As much as I hated to see that pretty wallpaper come down, the door looks so much better without it. The talented Dynamic DIY Duo did it again! Yay for Buddy, glad to hear the training is going well and he's settled in nicely with you guys.
ReplyDeleteBuddy is so beautiful! And so is your house! You have such a signature style. Love the changes you have made.
ReplyDeleteBuddy is so adorable! Love the door with the sign on it. I don't know what I'll have left with Ivy around. I have scissors for her claws, but I haven't worked up the nerve to try it yet.

I really like the quote you chose, and the door is great. Buddy is so cute. xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteI love the door and how it looks with the paint on the wall instead of the wallpaper. You both did a great job and it's coming along so nice. Buddy is just the cutest dog and he looks so lovable. :)
ReplyDeleteHello Kris, how sweet this looks. Another amazing project. Buddy is so darn cute. Nothing like a puppy. Have fun and enjoy the weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteThe door and mirror look great! Love that saying and the way you made it fit in is jus awesome. I did like the wallpaper there, but I can see why you removed it. I see there is still some in the living room! I do love it with that pale yellow and flowers on it. Everything looks gorgeous... what color are you looking for in a rug? Light gray? plain or with a pattern? Hope you find just what you want. Your living room is just so pretty. Oh.. and Buddy is a doll. So glad he's a good pup and fitting in so well with your family. Hugs.... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI love how you don’t give up until you get things just as you like them and don’t settle. You’re truly an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteMr. Buddy is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the door and the end result. You gave me some ideas for my old door - it needs a bit of an update.
The door came out just gorgeous!!! I love the old mirror
ReplyDeleteHugs
I am happy you gave us an update on Mr. Buddy. I love him!! What a cute smarty pants. LOL
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the quote. What a fantastic idea to add it to the door. As always, decor inspiration !!!
Carla
Gorgeous! I love how this one came together and the way it looks in the room. Even more, I love how Buddy matches your decor. Haha!! Was that planned?? ;) xoxox
ReplyDeleteHi Kris! Your door turned out stunningly - the quote piece was a lovely addition. Sweet, sweet Buddy. What a little dear! So glad he is in your life. Jane
ReplyDeleteYour door is beautiful especially with the woodwork that frames it. I have a thing for old doors and windows. I had a wall of vintage doors made in my bedroom to replace my 26" (yeah that's 26 inches) wide original farmhouse closet. Your home looks so fresh and beautiful. Fun to think about how many people back in the day walked through your repurposed door.
ReplyDeleteThat door is beautiful! You and Terry are both so talented. I agree that it looks better against a gray wall instead of the flowered wallpaper. Buddy is so darn cute. You can tell he's a sweetie just by looking at him. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou know I loved everything about this space. The door is wonderful. Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm. xo Kathleen\Our Hopeful Home
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with that door, Kris. The quote on the bottom finishes it all perfectly. I loved the wallpaper and I am glad you kept it at least on the one wall. Y9ou are right though- this way there is no competition with the door and the wallpaper Can't wait to see your new rug you are hunting for. Have a great week- xo Diana
