Hello sweet blog friends.
I am putting the new bathroom together to show you hopefully this weekend. I am happy how it is coming together.
In the meantime, I wanted to share with you a cute vacation rental that Terry and I will be staying at in a few weeks.
We planned an escape from life weekend in May. So need this!!!!!
You know that I love the area and small towns along Lake Michigan in Michigan.
It is only a 2 to 2.5 hour drive for us from Chicago.
|
This is the entry to this sweet cottage. Hopefully in the middle of May when we visit some of this will be in bloom. |
|
Gorgeous Front Porch. |
|
So sweetly decorated. This is definitely a "Kris" cottage! |
|
It has beautiful doors and windows to let lots of light in. |
|
This is just one of the sweet bedrooms in this home. |
|
Lake Michigan at the back door. |
|
This is a cute shop inside the old Fire Station in a neighboring town. With Terry being a fire chief I thought this might be a fun place to visit. |
|
Fun places to eat. |
|
Lots of the restaurants are right on the Lake. I cannot wait to have our escape weekend in May. It really does refresh your soul to have fun little trips like this.
Have a great rest of the week. I hope to have the bathroom re do for you this weekend. Hugs, Kris |
It does look like your kind of place. Have a wonderful weekend. I did think of asking you to swing by my way and help with my she shed your styling would be just right. LOL.

ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing. How fun. I can't wait to hear all about it.
ReplyDeleteHi! Lake Michigan towns are my favorite but we usually camp. Would you mind telling me the name of this sweet little place? I'm wanting more creature comforts these days. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Pam,
DeleteThis is on VRBO. It is a big home I think 4 bedrooms. So she is very expensive per night in the summer months being so close to the lake. There are a lot of really sweet places along the lake in all the little towns that are a lot less expensive. I think the week after our stay her prices triple for the summer months. I am glad I got the weekend for the lower amount.
Here is the link to the place.

Thank you. I know we waited a bit too long for this summer. Maybe next year for the kids along. Pam
DeleteWhat a great getaway! Enjoy!! xoxox
ReplyDeleteHave fun- You and Terry certainly deserve the break and need the getaway. I need to get the name of this place...and try to get in there sometime next fall. LOVE the way it looks. xo Diana

How I envy you. I'm thinking that perhaps I ought to plan a getaway to the other side of Lake Michigan this summer. (However, I dread the drive to get there from here.) But this place looks like it will make it worth the effort. Have fun!

I love visiting MI . . . we are fortunate to have places like Lake Geneva and parts of MI to visit so close to home. Are there more than one of the Stray Dog restaurants? I know we've eaten at one a few times up there. PM me the cottage information. We are always looking for fun getaways. We also love going up to Door County. Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place and it looks like it will be relaxing and fun, too. How fun to visit the Fire station shop. It's so good to treat ourselves and escape the cares of life for a while. Good for you! I look forward to seeing your bathroom in it's new decor. Have a wonderful new week.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Tamara
