Hi Sweet Blogging Friends.
We have only a couple of more weeks to closing.
Right now it the stress of trying to get the things fixed from the Home Inspections on time.
So much stress on top of trying to pack and get things ready to move!!!!
It is sad to think about saying Good Bye to Junk Chic Cottage #3. |
My flower boxes under the windows are growing beautifully. With it still June they are overflowing and growing faster than normal. I will miss them. I hope the new owner will keep them pretty. |
The look on my cherub bird bath looks confused. Not to worry sweet cherub I will find a perfect spot for you in JCC #4. |
I am so happy everything looking nice and speaks of summer. |
Best of luck on the closing and move.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading about your journey. We had problems with our last house when we sold, so when we sell this one we are going to hire a home inspector first. That way it will take the pressure off of selling. We learned a lot from selling our last home.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the move.
ReplyDeleteYour window boxes are beautiful. I hope the new owner takes good care of them!
ReplyDeleteYour window boxes are gorgeous.....so lush! I can't wait to see how you transform the new cottage...it will be wonderful. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteStressful and also exciting for your new adventure. Your new house is darling. With you and Terry’s wonderful talents, your new cottage will shine. Love your window boxes. Happy summer. Xoxo
ReplyDeleteKris, I know it is a stressful time, but you have such a great attitude about everything. I believe our attitude towards a situation is so important! I can't wait to see how you fix the new house. The flower boxes will be so pretty and it is just an adorable cottage-style home! It will flourish under your special touch! Love and hugs sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteThough this has been fraught with anxiety, it was one of the fastest real estate turnarounds I've seen. I actually love the new cottage best of all. It looks more cottage-y and old fashioned to me. Looks like something I would have instantly chosen myself. Don't wear yourself down to a nub! Yeah, right, you're thinking!

ReplyDeleteGo Kris Go!!!! God's Grace be with you!
ReplyDeleteI'm back! I am so happy for you. I can't imagine they found much for you to fix with the home inspection...you have done so many upgrades to the place and Terry is certainly attentive to safety issues with his work. Always something, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteCan't believe you will leave that sweet cottage before I see it one more time. I will miss that cute place but know your next one will be just as cute!
Have a great week- try to relax a bit. xo Diana
ps. Coming off I65 onto 80 yesterday and getting the roughly 10 miles to the 284 bypass took approximately 2 hours...on a Sunday afternoon- no less. LOL Gotta love Chicago traffic.
Praying Kris that all goes well on closing and moving. Girl, I have no doubt you will have that new home looking homey. Can't wait to see all that you do. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI am praying that the closing goes well for you and that you have patience with it all. It's so much stress for the two of you and hope it will settle down for you once it's all done and you are moved into your new home. Take care and sending you a big virtual hug.
ReplyDeleteJulie xo

Good luck with the closing, Kris. There's nothing more stressful than moving, but I hope all goes smoothly for you. Looking forward to seeing how you work your magic in #4!
ReplyDeleteWaiting to see cottage no. 4
ReplyDeleteBreath, just breath it will all continue to fall into place. The physical demands on top of feeling anxious will only be temporary and then you can go about the business of settling into your forever (I pray) home.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you to feel calm.
Wow, I wish I had your stamina! Congratulations to Terry! What a wonderful promotion! Y'all are such awesome folks....y'all deserve the very best! And of course the first poeple who saw Junk Chic Cottage #3 wanted it becuase It is so adorable! I can't wait to see Junk Chic Cottage #4. It looks cute even before you put your finishing touches on it. I love the wood floors, and I love the black and white kitchen! So pretty!!! Your summer mightbe even more busy than mine! ;P
ReplyDeleteI know your new home will be beautiful and it will be wonderful when you are finally moved. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI wish you could take ALL of your flowers with you... and the deck.. and the garage!!!! Hard to have done all that work just to have to leave it... but I think you guys NEED projects! so you will have many more at the new place. Will be fun to see the inside as you go along, and what you do with it. Is it about the same size, minus a basement? The first pictures I think made it look a little bigger inside? I bet you are excited for closing. Sure has happened fast! xoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI understand you will miss your house, but I am sure your new home will please you too.
ReplyDeleteHope you find some time to relax in between.
Hugs, Ida
