Hello Sweet Blogging Friends.
Well things are moving quickly to the new job for Terry and the move into our new
Junk Chic Cottage #4.
Terry will be sworn in on June 24th as the New Fire Chief
and we will close on this house and our new house on July 8th.
We are going to rent back for a week so we can go to the new house and paint, clean and re do the bathroom to get it ready to move in.
Terry is also building me a new pantry for the kitchen.
We would like to have all of this done before we move in officially.
I have been getting all chippy decor I want to take to the new house down and getting it ready to move. I have sold a lot of my pieces I know I cannot use in the new house. |
My hydrangea plant on the one side out front is finally blooming. They have been slow to open up with all the rain and lack of sunshine. |
This is the one on the other side. It is getting a few buds but at this time last year this plant was three times it size now and full beautiful blooms. I really think this cooler weather and so much rain has hindered their growth. |
My knockout rose bushes are going gang busters with the prettiest roses this year. Every day they seem to open more and more buds. |
This is one of my deck boxes. It is thriving too. I am taking the two of these to the new house to hang out front as window boxes on the new house. |
Hugs, sweet lady ~ and thoughts for ease of packing and transporting.
ReplyDeleteOh joy! Congrats on the new promotion and hopefully the new house! Good luck to both of you! God Bless! Leticia
ReplyDeleteOh your flowers are huge!! I didn't know about green bubble wrap. I don't need it right now for anything, but good to know. Good luck in all of your packing and moving! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteDachshunds do not like change! But he will do fine as long as his mama and daddy are there. You are being so thoughtful of the new owner to touch up the paint where you take things down. And they are very lucky to have all the improvements you two have made to your sweet house. I'm sure they will be happy there. Take care, dear Kris!
ReplyDeleteOy! You have a daunting task ahead of you Kris, but q know you will do it in style. Sending prayers for a successful pack up and move. Jane
ReplyDeleteAs always your blooms are stunning! I don't blame you one bit for not leaving any behind that are not in the ground. You are so kind to touch up the walls for the new owner with everything you have going on. I'm sure she will really appreciate it?!?!?! Good luck with your new adventure!!!

Good luck on the move.
ReplyDeleteHoly crapazoides you two are surely the energizer bunnies! Where the heck have I been! Terry got a new job, you sold you JCC #3 in two days and bought JCC#4 while I was sleeping last week and now your packing your stuff while painting for the woman who bought it! Seriously can I buy the next house you sell so I won’t have to do anything before moving in? I’m happy Terry has a new job and wish him all the luck with it! Your new cottage is adorable and smaller homes are the best! Hope this garage goes easier than JCC3 went. I better not stay away this time because I don’t know if I could handle all the news in one setting!!! Take care both of yourselves! P.S. send me the name of your vitamin pills I could use them!
ReplyDeleteI AM SO excited to see this journey go to plan, Kris!!!! You are a well-oiled machine, the both of you, getting so much done is what seems to be a small window of time! Best wishes as you pack, unpack and make a darling house into JCC#4!!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting. Cannot wait to see your new home. I told Hubby that when we sold this house I was digging up three plants and I would tell the realtor also. They were given to me by Our Son and My Hubby and they are so pretty. Lucky for me they are small plants or can be cut down to move.
ReplyDeleteI think you're amazing doing all that work in one house and then moving on to the next. Wish you all the best in your move.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck for a quick and easy transition to your new home! So exciting!!! xoxoxoxxo
ReplyDeleteWholly molly are your flowers huge and beautiful. I'm sure it's overwhelming with so much at once. Buddy will be sniffing like crazy at the new place.
ReplyDeleteWhere you get all this energy from is amazing. Can't wait to see the new place.
Hugs
Cindy
Sending lots of love and prayers as you are super busy with this exciting move! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, Kris, I'll be praying for you. Wish I could help you, I know the overwhelming feelings you're having. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWow...things are certainly happening fast! And what in the world are you feeding those flowers of yours? Do you do anything special and do you "dead-head" all those blooms when they die off? I can buy a pretty basket but can never seem to maintain one to keep it looking so full and gorgeous. Isn't it funny how our doggies know when something is amiss...mine don't like it one bit when I'm even working on a project! Looking forward to catching up after the move!
ReplyDeleteLove, hugs and prayers for you as you pack up, make the move, paint, etc. before moving in. Then will come the fun of setting up this house to make it your lovely home sweet home.

Ahh the pressure is on! Best wishes that the move goes smoothly!
ReplyDeleteYou'll do fine. You're a pro by now! Nice of you to touch up the walls. I've never heard of that green bubble wrap. Maybe it was created after my last move, over five years ago. Or maybe I just missed it somehow. I'll be thinking about you!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Best of luck on the move---and I'm sure your organizational skills will save your sanity. Hugs to the puppy---they get so stressed out!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss that you are moving again. I don't envy you all of the work involved. After this last move I swore it would be my very last, but I've sworn that many other times. Your flowers are gorgeous. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteOh Kris...I am exhausted just reading about all the hard work you guys are doing! I will be keeping you and Terry in my prayers that all goes smoothly and that sleep comes well and heavy for you at night. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, Kris. I'm standing with Buddy! I'm so sorry that you are having to do all of this, but the excitement must be unbelievable. Terry's job and the new house must be at the top of that list but having to leave your beautiful garden and all the work involved with the move would be something you don't want to do. But, you have left beautiful gardens before and the next one is always just a little better. I'm glad you can take your hanging baskets, OMG they are so beautiful. Can't wait to see how you make it your own and I know it will all be worth every minute..Happy Tuesday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about green bubble wrap!!! Best wishes with all the things ahead! xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteHi Kris, thanks so much for telling us about your packing up and moving situation and I'm glad to know about the green bubble wrap too. I will be praying once agin for you and Terry for his new job, packing up everything, and the new house. I do hope that you two have extra help with everything.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it all!
Hugs, Julie xo
well Kris, we're pretty much pros at this by now, huh? Just not something we really enjoy! Your plants are totally amazing and I'm so glad you will be able to take most of them with you. That bike is just so cute! We're all praying for you guys for an easy move and transition. Can't wait to see how things are coming along on JCC#4!
ReplyDeleteOh so much to do and so little time! I don't envy you at all, but moving to a new place I always looked at with excitement and as a new adventure! It's just ALOT of work! I hope you have some help with the moving and UNpacking! Poor Buddy does look a little worried. Our cats get that way and I have to keep reassuring them it's OK.. they are coming too! Are you taking any plants or shrubs that are IN the ground, like the hydrangeas?? those take so much work to get started, it seems, in new areas or spots. And yours is finally doing something! Glad you'll have that extra time at the new cottage to do some of your magic there! Hugs... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI am in absolute AWE at your ability to do this packing, moving, unpacking over and over and...I told my family this last move will do me until I move to the 5.5 foot box. I am DONE with moving! lol Kris, I wish you and yours well, especially Buddy. He looks an old guy and needs his stability.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you, yours and the work of your hands and heart.

I seriously cannot believe you have to do this ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It feels as if you just got settled in your sweet cottage!! You clearly have way more energy and patience than me, Kris - wishing you strength and a smooth move!
ReplyDeleteI get what you're going through, Kris. However, you know exactly what needs to be done, you're organized, and you will get through it with style and grace, as you always do. Congratulations to Terry on this new job, and how sweet and typical of him that he is already working on your pantry for the new cottage. God bless you two, and your sweet fur baby, too. Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteYou do know that you could now have a career in moving!!! You must be an expert by now. Good luck with all the packing.
ReplyDeleteOh Kris, you are so busy. Exciting times for you. Congrats on Terry getting the new job. You are off and running. Do take some time for yourself. xo
ReplyDeleteGosh Kris - things are really moving so quickly! I am so pleased for you and Terry. Try to have some little rest periods and I think that you will be fine. Then once you are in your new home, rest up some more. Sending you very positive vibes and supportive hugs to get you through this very busy time,Gilly xx
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, Kris. You are making fast work of it. You must have it down after so many moves. Congratulations to Terry.
ReplyDeletePraying for you both. I am so happy for Terry! I do think this will be the one! I do pray it will be. I certainly understand all the politics. My best friends husband is a Wisconsin State Trooper, same junk.
ReplyDeleteSending lots of love, hugs and prayers. Love, Carla
eagerly waiting to see your new home. XOXO
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving us your update especially with all you have going on! I was just wondering yesterday how the packing was progressing. Your plants are just too gorgeous to leave behind! Best wishes for a somewhat easy move. It's a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs your way from Canada, Kris. You got this!
ReplyDeleteGood luck for the new house and job
ReplyDeleteHugs
ZOOMMMMMM!!!! 🏃♀️ Get a bit of rest when you can, my friend! How wonderful that everything seems to be working together for you. You're such a kind seller. They will be getting such a nice home because of you!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the moving, your garden looks lovely🌸
ReplyDeleteHugs, Ida
I am so jealous, I would love a new canvas (home) to redecorate. We are looking. Congrats on the promotion and I cannot wait to see your new place. You always make it so pretty. xxxx Rhonda

You should write a book about buying and selling and moving! You are a total pro at this point. I have to say, you're also a pro gardener, by the looks of your flowers. I know you get them at your favorite nursery each year, but wow! Do you feed them? My plants are still scrawny this year, too much rain and not enough sun, but I think they may need food. Hmmm....
ReplyDeleteYou've got a lot on your plate, Kris, and I wish you all the best in packing up and moving in! Your flowers never cease to amaze me! I'm glad you are taking them with you! I need to find that green bubble wrap. You seem to teach me something new all the time.
ReplyDeleteSo, so happy for you both.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adventure. Since I just moved the end of March, I remember the madness only too well. It will be worth it though. Can't wait to see the new place.
ReplyDeleteMoving is not easy, both emotionally and physically. I don't envy you as we just made a move 2 years ago. I wish you the best with this move. Remember to take time for you. Rest when you can and let someone else take care of dinner. It will do you good to get away from the stress of moving for at least an hour. Moving is both exciting and terrorizing. Looking forward to see all you have planned for the new cottage. Aesthetically the new college is adorable.
