Hi Blogging Friends. I told you I would come back and show you Terry's chair all fixed up pretty and brought back to life.
|
Here is the leather Cleaner and re coloring balm. |
|
You try to pick the color that is closest to your leather color. I chose Camel. |
|
This is the before chair. You can see the deep scratches and fading of the original color. |
|
Here is the after. You can see how the leather balm brought back out the beautiful color of the leather and helped with all the deep scratches. |
|
This shows the before how dried out the leather was and how many scratches were visable. |
|
Before cleaning and balm. |
|
After |
|
It hydrated and reconditioned the leather and took out some of the scratches and brought back the original color. |
|
Love my new improved leather recliner. Looks healthier and still has a vintage look. The cleaner and color balm come with easy peasy directions. You clean the leather chair with the cleaner. Wipes on and off and then you take the pad they give you with the balm rub it in and let it dry. It dries quickly and the more coats you do the darker and richer the color becomes.
So for very little money I was able to recondition this beautiful leather recliner. |
Wow, what a difference! The chair is amazing...such a great find!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a difference! Where did you get the products?
ReplyDeleteWOW, you saved my wood and leather counter stools from being sold off on Craigslist for just $20 each! I am going to give this a try when I get relocated. The chair turned out wonderful. Love the new color so much more.

ReplyDeleteKris, you are truly a designing genius. When you first mentioned to me that you were hunting for a leather recliner, again, I was unable to visualize it. But look how well the natural color of leather goes so well with the textures and gorgeous whites? YOU DID IT! And the restoration of the leather is remarkable, allowing the vintage feel to come through but with such a vibrant life given back to it. It looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteWow! The chair came back to life ! It turned out beautiful . I love the color too . Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThat's really a great outcome, Kris!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing transformation Kris! As Mary Poppins would say 'practically perfect in every way' - it really looks like it belongs there. Your gorgeous sofa looks great under the window too. Our favourite clever design lady sprinkles her magic once more. Hugs x
ReplyDeleteThat turned out wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteWow that sure made the difference! That style of recliner is the perfect fit for your room too!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely helped it a lot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful transformation. It is pretty amazing the difference from before and after. Thanks for sharing the process. XO
ReplyDeleteI need this product! My daughter's cats scratched the leather on our media seating and I've been wanting something to make them less visible. Kris, how did it work on the child's etchings on the back of the chair?
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Carla
How gorgeous, Kris!! Did it take out the marks from where the child had scratched his name?
ReplyDeleteLooks great Kris! Love that chair in your living room! Snuggly fit for sure. I need to get some of that cleaner and balm. We have a white leather chair that we've had for about 12 years and it's showing wear and its age so it definitely needs a facelift. Loved seeing your entire living room photos too! That Offer Up site sounds pretty neat.. may have to go take a look at it. Oh... and loved your new mirrow on your fireplace that you posted a few days ago. So pretty.. and love that darker gray shiplap too. Take care.. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteWOW...that is amazing, Kris! Thanks for the update. The chair really looks so lovely with all of the white. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI just wrote an article about leather conditioning and cleaning for a client, Kris. You could've written it for me! Your results are outstanding. I bet Terry loves his new chair. xxoo
ReplyDeleteWow - what a difference! I didn't even know you could do that! I learned something :)
ReplyDeleteKris, that product made such a difference on the chair. It looks rich and classy and so comfy. I like the natural look of the leather against all the white. So pretty. Thanks for your visit to me. I feel lucky to have an old porch..Happy Wednesday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThe chair looks great! There have been health issues at my house so I'm behind reading your blog and was surprised to see you are moving. I'm glad Terry found a job. We have several male friends in their 60"s and a few have lost jobs due to companies being sold. A few months ago my husbands heart stopped while he was riding his bike. Thank the Lord there were people behind him that knew what to do. We found out he has an electrical issue with his heart and we are going through the steps to get him help. His goal was also to make it 5 more years until he retires but it appears that won't happen. Now we're praying for 2 more years so he gets additional health benefits. This getting older stuff and staying employed is not for the faint of heart. You and Terry are in my prayers. I know you'll find a great house and no doubt yours will sell fast.
ReplyDeleteOh no about your sweet husband. How scary for you. What we paid for our health insurance while Terry was out of a job a few years ago was obscene. So I hope he can make it 4 to 5 more years until we can qualify for Medicare and maybe a supplement. I hope your husband can get the heart issue taken care of and then maybe go back to work.
DeletePrayers for you.
The house is on the market today. We have one showing tonight. Hope more schedule for the weekend.
Have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
Kris
Great job. It looks amazing. I need to do our loveseat again. The dog loves to sleep on it.
ReplyDeleteYour efforts with the leather chair came out beautifully. It really does look to be very comfortable. A nice addition to your room.
ReplyDeleteKris, you are so strong and resilient and I admire that about you. Moving is not easy, especially after you make a home just what you wanted and so beautiful, and I know how us women are about our homes. You will make this new home just as beautiful. I love seeing all your beautiful ideas, but more than anything, Kris, I love the courage and strength that you possess that helps remind me to embrace the big changes in my own life. Thank you, Kris!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet friend. We have been on a roller coaster these past few years but I have faith this will be hopefully the final move for us and the new job will be a great fit for Terry. We just need a few more years to retirement. Thank you for your sweet comment left. I wish I could have emailed you but you are a no response so I hope you come back to see the comment here.
DeleteHugs,
Kris
