Hello Sweet Friends
Hope you are all staying warm. We finally have old man winter arriving in Illinois. Those lovely Spring like temps we had in December and the first part of this month were just a tease. The real stuff is here.
I shared with you the new table Terry made for me out of a vintage drop leaf table we salvaged for the legs.
It fits in perfectly in the corner of the living room in front of the bay window. |
Now I have space on the other side of the room to have a living room area.
This is my Ikea slipcovered chair for the corner where the Christmas Tree stood. |
I still have my comfy RA Couture down love seat that is so squishy and comfy. |
Terry still has his comfy power recliner that faces the TV in the back of the living room area. |
I found this white chippy hall table to add under my mirror in the living room. |
Wishing all of you a wonderful week. Stay warm and cozy. I will be counting down the days until Spring!
Your room looks so pretty. Always nice to have a dining area. The table looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove the new addition. We shall see if you go for a sectional..lol xo
Kris, You have a new look with your blog site too. I like it. I love your house. It has comfort and charm. Love that mirror. Stay warm. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteBRRRR, we're freezing here too. All the better to snuggle up in your oh-so-pretty living room on that wonderful loveseat. That dining table is the perfect size for the spot. I love how you two marry so many great pieces to come up with an amazing answer to whatever you need! xo Deb

Cindy
Love it, this room is coming together so nicely
ReplyDeleteThe room looks so bright and cheerful and I love the couch and blanket. I know you will have changed the room to something else pretty. Stay warm and cozy Kris.
ReplyDeleteSweet new look for your blog! Wow is that room every tiny! I don't think I realized the limitations you were facing. Great job finding a layout that works for you. Have a happy week! xoxoxox ps the weather's been the same here, super warm fall right into the end of December, super cold and snowy at the beginning of January but just now we're warm again and expecting rain - so weird!!
ReplyDeleteI know you always figure out a way to make furniture work just right in a room! Looks like you've done just that.
ReplyDeletePS - do you and guests enter into the living room/dining room through that door (what I'm assuming is the front door)? If so, how do you keep that white rug so clean, especially in the winter?
Your blog looks wonderful, Kris! Love the dining room/living room combo. Everything looks so charming. It's all just perfect!

It looks wonderful. I just love the table. Your floors are amazing. How do you clean them? I am blessed to have all wood floors in our home.. but the kitchen which is going to get the BIG RE DO with in the year!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks perfect, Kris! Of course, I'm not the least bit surprised. Enjoy your new view!
ReplyDeleteGOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!!! You made it work. You truly brought this place together in a relatively short period of time. It only took us 23 years to finally get the look but you did it in less than a YEAR! BRAVO!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous. I an only imagine the challenges of getting a small space to work - I am looking at my living room wondering what I'd do if I didn't have the small dining area right off of it. I think you've come up with a great solution. It all looks so inviting. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOnce again Kris you have achieved the impossible! It all looks amazing - I have to say that I love the flexibility that you have with the chair and the SO comfy love seat. Also they give the space in between to have that lovely little table with the lamp, and still show off the beautiful things on the wall behind. I look forward to seeing what you decide. We have had some cold weather here in the UK for the last few days, but it is now milder again. Hugs Gilly x
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing with white! Beautiful home and so very peaceful too.

This is so cute! Gosh I would leave the furniture as is. I like the individual pieces and how they line up with the faux window etc. This is perfect!
ReplyDeleteIf you wanted to change the color of Terry's chair Heirloom paint makes a paint that is flexible and works on vinyl/leather. They demo it on their Facebook page.
ReplyDeleteI love the chippy white table! Aren't you enjoying your new blog look? I am. Love the blue and white.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Very pretty! I am not loving this weather but yes, we were spoiled in December.
ReplyDeleteKris-That looks lovely and I like that you have that dining area now and it is in the right spot for the sun to warm your bones. The room pulled together beautifully. I didn't tell you that Terry invited us over to your house AFTER the party...lol..I said NO-Too much for you for the day already. lol MEN! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love your cozy space. Small spaces are definitely a challenge, but of course you are doing a wonderful job with it. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteIt all looks just PERFECT Kris! You don't need to change a thing. Love the table t here and can see you being able to use different tablecloths depending on the season. We have a "spring like" day today! Is 56 degrees! Down south of us, about 50 miles, they still have a foot of snow! Yuk. I'll take 56 and a gray day anytime, over snow! Take care.....Marilyn
ReplyDeleteKris, everything is looking so beautiful. Your little fireplace looks so inviting and I really love how you transformed the table. From your pic it looks like a sectional would fit perfectly there. I really like your new look on the blog and hope you are keeping warm..Happy Thursday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteYes, it does look like a sectional would fit there....But whatever you decide...it looks charming!!!
We had temps. in the teens in the beginning of the week and now we had 53 degrees today!! Crazy weather!!
