Thank you for all the prayers and love sent to Terry and I as we grieve the loss of his dad. He was a good man and we will miss him.
I showed you the She Shed I purchased. It is going to be a fun challenge to re love it into a sweet she shed for me.
It was a Chicken Coop. Below I will show you the "before" pics of how the shed looks now. Then I will share some inspiration pictures I found on Pinterest of ideas for transforming mine.
This is the "before" pics of the she shed. It is chippy and needs some love but I know I will get it to a sweet place. |
This side feed bin will be converted to a flower box. |
Love the cute shelf and chippy window. |
This is an inspiration picture.
I can gather lots of ideas from this picture.
The next pics below are lots of ideas from pinterest. |
I can see doing something like this inspiration picture on the side of my shed that has a similar window and shelf. |
I love the chandelier and all the sweet flowers inside this she shed. |
I could see a nice hammock like this one hanging inside. |
I want to paint the inside of the shed similar to this one. |

Kris, I love that little shed. How adorable. Oh I know you will shine it up like a wee mansion. I want to tell you the glass shed by D.Reyne, is just up the road from me. That is Donna's , the lady that got me interested in blogging. She has a new shop in our town. Can't wait till you see it. Blessings and hugs to you and your family. xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to be getting your own she shed to decorate. I am happy for you and I can't wait to see what you do with the space.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I am SO sorry to hear about Terry's dad. I didn't see your post yesterday because this is the first time I've been online to read blogs in a couple of days. Praying for peace and comfort for Terry, you, and the rest of Terry's family.
ReplyDeleteIf there's anyone that can transform that chicken coop into a gorgeous she shed, it's you! Can't wait to see the transformation.
I have no doubt that your She Shed will be as spectacular as any of them. The one that sits in the woods belongs to Sandy Foster. I am still in contact with her as the cottage was in the mountains close to my home in PA. She is a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you get done!!!!
I can't wait to see you work your magic on your she shed!
ReplyDeleteTransforming this shed will be so much fun. Love all the wonderful inspiration pics! I was so sorry to hear about Terry's dad. He sounds like a wonderful man who loved his family so much. I know you all will miss him, sending prayers for you all!
ReplyDeleteGood morning my friend! This is going to be one fun and exciting project! I see a little bitty picket fence with a gate surrounding this! OH THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN TO WATCH!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow Kris,

You are going to have so much FUN making this into your sweet retreat. Between you and Terry, this is going to be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh Kris,
ReplyDeleteSo much beautiful inspiration you shared. I know you will work your magic and make this dreamy!
I can't wait to see. How fun would it to add a beautiful chandy and hammock.
Imagine it surrounded by Hydrangeas and roses.
Have a blast! Buddy will love following you inside.
Hugs,
Cindy
I am so sorry for the loss of your father-in-law. Hugs and prayers for you and your family. :-(
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the transformation of the "she shed".
Well this will be fun! There are questions I have like how are you guys going to move it? I hope you’ll show that too! This will be adorable as you transform it into your dreams! Pink Geraniums!!
ReplyDeleteYour She Shed is going to be amazing after all of you and Terry’s touches. Love the chippy look of it with the white and embellishments. I cannot wait to see the transformation. Happy week. Xo
ReplyDeleteOh there is no doubt in my mind at all that you won't make that She-shed the prettiest thing ever! My she-shed is filled to the brim! Oh mercy! I keep saying I am going to revamp it but it actually is my storage area. I can't wait to see pics Kris. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteBe still my heart!
ReplyDeleteThis was made for you!! Can't wait to see your own magazine worthy transformation...xo
ReplyDeleteYour new she shed will be adorable! You found great inspiration and I can't wait to see what you do. Sigh, such envy...ha! Make sure it is fumigated...my brother got histoplasmosis from helping to clean out a chicken house. We wear masks and gloves when doing a deep clean in our chicken house and run. Hopefully the feller you got it from was diligent about doing the dirty work...get it...dirty work...lol! Wishing you a splendid spring-like day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh Kris...this is going to be so adorable and I can't wait to see the finished project. I would love to even have it as a chicken house too since I hope to get me a few chickens when our home is built! Have a blessed week. :)
ReplyDeleteI especially love the scroll work at the top.

Kris, I know that you and Terry will make it beautiful - inside and out! I think that it will be good therapy for you both - something to concentrate on and help you through the grieving process. Looking forward to seeing what ideas you come up with for it's transformation. Hugs, Gilly x
ReplyDeleteKris, I'm so sorry for the loss of your father in law. That coop turned shed will be fabulous. I'm still longing for one to be built.
ReplyDeleteI think all of us ladies are envious that you will get this darling "she shed"!!! I don't know why all women seem to want one. I sure do! I'll have to go back and look where you found it, can't remember, but we have a marketplace on Facebook in our area so I never thought of looking for a chicken coup! Some are so darling, like yours. Your inspiration photos are just darling.. the 3rd one that is the key lime green, I've saved to my own Pinterest board, as we painted our house this exact color! I love it and is such a nice "cottage" color. If I ever get my own she shed, it will be painted the exact color, with white trim.. I love that one with the pink table outside and all the pink flowers - my dream... sigh. It will be so fun to watch as you transform it and fill your garden beds up with flowers and love! Hugs... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteP.S. I think there should be a TV series just on She Sheds! Wouldn't that be awesome???
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be such a fun project! Can't wait to see the coop's transformation to your She Shed!
ReplyDeleteDear friend, I can't wait to see you make this she shed yours! I bet you your mind is racing with ideas! I am curious how you are going to get this home. We bought a log cabin shed and it came on a big truck that tilted and it just rolled right off. I hope it goes well getting it into your yard. Your grands are going to love it too! I think a tea party is called for!🌼
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry for your loss...I love all your inspiration photos!! So pretty!!Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs
Debbie
The "side seed bin" actually looks like the exterior nest access on my coop. It allows me to gather eggs without going inside the coop.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a lovely little house, so charming!
ReplyDeleteA lovely place of your own.
I am so sorry for your loss,
Blessings, Ida
Oh, Kris. I just can't!! It is so sweet and any one of your inspirations would look spectacular. I can't wait to see and I know it will be just perfect. Sitting in there with a good book on a rainy day would make my heart hurt!!xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThis will be so much fun. I always learn from you and Terry. Thank You Kris!
ReplyDeleteHi Kris,
ReplyDeleteDon't know what happened but it was there earlier today. I fixed it or at least I hope I did.
The pictures are showing up again, so it was on my end for sure. Strange, that it left
just the one picture. So try again when you have time.
Thanks for coming by and hope your having a good week.
Blessings,
Nellie
