New Kind Of Easter

Happy Easter Everyone.
This year will be different for all of us.
I will miss my family being all together.
I know it is to keep us all safe and well.
I thought I would share some of my past Easter Decor with you.

I will miss the Easter Egg Hunt with my grand girls.

There is always next year to do our egg hunt.
We have been facetiming a lot.
It was fun to see them egg coloring and opening up the Easter Baskets I put together for them.
Thankful for FaceTime.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Easter.
Let's hope as we continue on through April we will see all the orders to Shelter In Place is bringing the virus under control.

  2. This lovely post has me smiling! You really have a knack for decorating and have such wonderful pieces. Glad you are able to face time your family. Doing without gives us so much more appreciation for what we had. Love and hugs ~ FlowerLady

  5. So fun and happy seeing your past Easter pieces. So many other pieces were pretty too. I remember many of them.

It must be hard not being able to see those sweet faces. Hopefully this won't go on for much longer.

    Happy Easter!

  9. I've never used FaceTime. Last year Andrew came over with Kasi and she hid eggs in the plant containers on the patio for him. I never really do anything on Easter so won't be much different for me.

  11. I love those yellow boots and how you use those old vintage picture frames as trays. I'm going to definitely steal that idea. I have a lot of old frames.

  12. Kris, Today's post made me cry. Everything makes me cry these days. Each and every one of your centerpieces was beautiful. Loved the carrots in the vase, loved the yellow rain boots, loved the empty picture frame with different vignettes inside. Face it, I loved them all. Your post is like a breath of fresh air each day. Thank you. Sandra

  14. I do love bunnies and carrots, and grand girls with baskets. I know that is the hardest part. We are so old, and time flies so fast, she will be a foot higher by the time we get to see her again. We try and talk everyday---but , no hugs is well...NO HUGS...so virtual hugs will have to do. Have a great weekend, Kris and family---virtual or not! Sandi

  16. This Easter is going to be hard for so many people since we're not able to be with our family and friends. I don't have Facetime since I'm not an Apple user, but I use other mediums such as Google Hangouts, House Party and Zoom with family and friends. Your grandgirls are adorable. I can only imagine how much you miss them.

  17. Wishing you and Terry a very Happy Easter Kris! Yes, it's going to be very different for all of us this year - but, as you say, there will be next year to look forward to.
Thanks for sharing your previous Easter decor - stay safe, and stay well. Hugs, Gilly

  18. Good morning sweetest sunshine!

I LOVE that vase with the carrots and white flowers! HOW CLEVER! It's nice to see Easter past in your beautiful dwellings; I had fun with my ornate silver punch bowl and a basket. I added a white chippy rabbit and some eggs and it makes me very happy. I'll post it on my blog.

Well friend, I hope to chat soon. This past work week was another opportunity to learn through much trial and error, but we made it. Onward toward what looks like the rest of the school year from our homes.

    HAPPY EASTER!

  24. I have never been more thankful for FaceTime. Yesterday I got to see my granddaughters playing outside on a beautiful day and hear their plans for today, trying the whole time to keep any sadness out of my voice and off my face that it seems so long since I've seen them in person. I know there will be other Easters where tables will be set for a big family dinner. Maybe they won't be as beautiful as yours always are, Kris--you are the Easter queen of tables!--but how joyful it will be to once again hold hands around the table for the blessing.

A hug to sweet Buddy from his dachshund friends,
    Dewena

  26. I know you miss your girls, Kris. I'm glad you can Facetime with them, and still keep the tradition of making Easter baskets for them. Loved seeing all your past Easter decorations. All so charming. You really have the gift of creating beautiful vignettes. Hugs, Nancy

  29. Sweet girls! Ours are all young ladies now. You have the cheeriest decorations! Love the floral arrangement in that twig wreath. Our gloomy weather hit this morning. Thank goodness it won't last long. And your spring displays are a great way to start out today!

  30. Oh I adore the pictures and I am sure you are missing those sweet babies! Your Easter decor is so lovely. What a cute idea with those darling carrots! I hope that you have a wonderful week dear Kris. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  31. What a lovely post..love all the decor..favorite being the bunny tail chair ties and then seeing the girls in their Spring attires..glad you had the pics to brighten your day...it was a serene day, for sure. I cooked up a big meal for hubby and I, inclusive of deviled eggs, and we tried to get through it without our daughter and the grands...we have a new three week old granddaughter that we have held one time..and they live about 10 miles from us.. :0(.... God is good, though and our World will get through it all with a lot of sadness and fear that we will never forget, and hopeful will make us all better folks. :0) ... Your decor is always so clean, unique and uplifting..Thank you.
