I am a retired RN. I love all things white, chippy, vintage and cottage chic. I am married to my best friend and handyman who helps me make our cottage chic. You can read more on my About Me page.
Those peonies are amazing, the color too. I'm like you and I've been trying to get outside and putter each day weather permitting. It sort of clears out the noise in our brains!
ReplyDeleteStunning.....I love peonies!!! Your garden is so beautiful....

I *love* peonies! I only have one bush and it's just about to burst into bloom - I'm sure that will be tomorrow. Where did you find that adorable bird house planter?
ReplyDeleteOh Kris, promising indeed my friend. The ones around here are a bit shy but will be opening at least by next week. Oh sweet friend, thank you for sharing your gorgeous space.
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteYour peonies are so pretty!! Love your birdhouse!! I do not watch National News and only pay attention to what is happening in my own area and it has worked wonders for maintaining my positive attitude. I have also been enjoying working out in my little Garden...Especially now that I am retired!!! Stay safe, health and happy, my friend!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Beautiful Kris, love the color. I have been spending time outdoors too, it's great for the soul.

Beautiful color of these peonies. Thanks for sharing ~ FlowerLady
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Kris. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful neighborhood! And your peonies are thrilling! I LOVE your birdhouse planter too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shade of pink your peony is!
ReplyDeleteSame with me, Kris. I start to feel a bit overwhelmed because it seems the US has been turned on its head, and I walk out to the patio and tend my plants. I don't think anything calms me quite like that does. Those peonies are absolutely gorgeous! I love the little ball formed before the bloom. I had them in TX but never figured out why there was always ants on them. Do you know?

Hi Kris, Well it is a very pretty color. I love the flowers of the peonies but the rain takes them down quick, if the bush is not steadied. It looks as if you live in a beautiful neighborhood. I would love it. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteYour peony is simply gorgeous! You would have loved a Monte Don gardening program we watched recently. The show featured a woman who has tons (tonnes for the Brits reading this!) of peonies and said she would be "bereft" if she didn't have them in her gardens. I loved that...who says "bereft"? Oh, the reason for ants on peonies was explained on the program. The ants are attracted to the sweet nectar from the peony buds. Ants are not harmful to the plant and the buds do not require the ants to open. I had always been told that peonies could only be moved at a certain time of the year...advice I promptly ignored and moved the plants as needed and they flourished. Here in Indiana they are referred to as "pineys".
ReplyDeleteWe have several scattered throughout the gardens and they are all staggered in blooming, so we will have color for a while. Love the birdhouse planter! You find such cute stuff! xoxo
Oh wow, they are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely. I've always wanted to grow them, maybe I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Kris. Your plantings have already beat mine, I'm afraid they will explode and fall, unless we have some moderated temps. Waiting for gluttony bouquets and photo ops, as I speak. Enjoy---they are so fleeting but delicious! Sandi
ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful flowers Kris - so pleased to hear that the sight of your beautiful flowers lifted your spirits! Being in the garden always makes us feel better, I really feel for people who don't have the luxury of having a garden. Keep that feeling of happiness going, and continue to stay safe. A very big caring hug, Gilly x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color, Kris! You really have improved your property in so many ways, both inside and now out. It must give bring you a lot of happiness. I have been working on my brother's garage. Organizing and purging is my way of dealing with stress. It makes me tired and that's all I need to sleep well. Big hugs for safety.
ReplyDeleteI just replied to your comment on my blog and it was similar to your feelings. I have to get out to my gardens to get my mind off of all of the things going on. Decompress! That’s a beautiful peony and a sweet birdhouse planter. Love that charming house viewed in that picture!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Kris! I have been going outdoors to clear my head, too...praying for better days for all ahead! xo
ReplyDeleteDear Kris, the peonies are just beautiful. What a gorgeous color. Your garden certainly is a place of calm.
