Hello Sweet Friends.
Let's begin with cheers to a beautiful new week.
I found a cute dresser on my trip to Michigan. I had a vintage dresser in our room but I did not like how the drawers were and the size.
It was ok but the two middle drawers were sticky. This happens when a dresser is 60 plus years old. |
This is the new dresser. Takes up less room and the drawers move nicely. I am looking for cuter knobs maybe something for the top two drawers that are a little different. I like the knobs below. |
With everything going on in our lives I am reminded by my favorite saying from Mother Teresa. Let's all be kind and loving in all aspects of life. |
Good morning sweetest friend. That is a wonderful find; the size is just right and it looks fantastic with your décor! OK, let's start out this new week well and slide into July! Can you believe, we are already in July???
ReplyDeleteYour new dresser is cute! Love the shape of it.
ReplyDeleteLove the new dresser
ReplyDeleteKris, I like the looks of the new dresser too. It has more drawers also. Hope you have a good week. We got some needed rains...more coming in, maybe hit and miss. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful find Kris, the dresser looks lovely and I am sure works better. Great quote. Here’s to a happy week ahead. July is almost here. hugs
ReplyDeleteThe new dresser is perfect...white and the drawers work! Love the shape and details of the dresser too. We got a couple inches of much needed rain over the weekend. Now the weeds will grow taller...ha! Off to run errands while it is relatively cool. Love the quote... xoxo
ReplyDeleteLoving that dresser Kris! Hope your week is lovely sweet lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteBeing kind goes a long way during a pandemic. I too love the dresser. I have looked for an antique dresser I can afford for years. Never even see them.

Kris, the new dresser is perfect! We have the same tastes apparently...
ReplyDeleteIt has an unusual shape which makes it unique but looks like it would hold as much as the old did. I love the knobs!
Great change and I live the quote. The frame around the quote is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHappy Nee Week!
Cindy
Non-sticking drawers make a world of difference. That looks good. What you gave up in width, it looks as though you gained in height. Terry can have the 2 slender drawers on top, you get the rest. ;)
ReplyDeleteA nice find! Wishing you a great week and a Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find.....and the perfect size!!! Love the old window you hung above it too. So pretty!!!!

What a truly beautiful shaped piece of furniture Kris - you certainly have a good eye for the right pieces. It looks amazing, and I look forward to seeing the replacement knobs, when you find them. A wonderful quote - thanks for sharing that too. Hugs, Gilly x
ReplyDeleteLove the new dresser! In our small house, we have to go for tall instead of wide, too. In fact, our dresser is in the guest room because we don't have any room in our master bedroom! I wish you lived near me...there is a great little shop nearby that has all kinds of vintage and newer, chippy stuff and last time I was there, she had an entire drawer full of old drawer handles. I know you'll find just the perfect ones though (even though I like the ones that are already on there!).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful find Kris. I like the shape and style.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the quotes as well.
Happy 4th of July,
Carla
I love the new dresser. It has a female figure to it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful find, Kris...perfect for your space! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference a new dresser makes. The size and style seems perfect for that space. Take a candle or bar of soap and rub it along the sides, tops and bottoms of sticky drawers. They will slip and slide after that. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteHi Kris - loving your beautiful, curvy dresser! I love changing hardware on my finds. I have no doubt you will find the most charming pulls. Have a wonderful happy week! Jane
ReplyDeleteYou found such a pretty dresser Kris. Hope you have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a blessing, that we can start each day new and do better than the day before? Love the new dresser. It's the perfect size!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Hi Kris. I like the new dresser. Pretty shape. It's usually hard to find an old dresser where the drawers don't stick. Love that saying and we are lucky to be able to start each day anew, even though, usually, by the end of the day there is something else to worry about!!..Stay well..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThe new dresser has such pretty lines! I can see why you were taken with it.
ReplyDeleteThe quote by Eleanor Roosevelt is wonderful! I'm so thankful that each morning brings new blessings as well as new challenges. Kris, you are a true model of Kindness.
Kris,
ReplyDeleteLove the new dresser!! And love the quote by Eleanor Roosevelt!! I feel life is what you make of it even during these times!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Debbie
What a beautiful new piece! And I see you have given wonderful place to that Mother Theresa quote with that fabulous frame. Always dazzling. You have wonderful shops and a great style.
