The new roof is being put up today. Oh boy! the old roof taken off and all the under stuff being replaced. Lots of pounding and sawing going on.

All my pretty flower boxes removed and placed in the backyard for safety. They said they will be done by early afternoon. That would be fabulous. Poor little Buddy is beside himself with the noise.
Later in the week the siding will be torn off and new siding put on. Then this little cottage home will have everything updated and new. |

My two flower boxes. You can see how big and full they are now that they are off from under the windows out front. |

Wishing all of you a wonderful new week. |
How exciting...a new roof and siding?!?!? All that noise will be worth it in the end when it is all finished and looking fabulous. Your flowers are so big and GORGEOUS!!!! Can't wait to see it all done.....

Oh, Golly. It will certainly be wonderful when you are all done, inside and out. We have to do the roof in the next year or two, but this year it was the driveway and repairing all the fencing and beams that we did 30 years ago. It will be nice to be all snug and dry for the coming winter or rains, whatever! Hugs, Sandi
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of the renovations on the house Kris. The flowers are all growing so nice. Have a nice day and week. :)
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful. Getting a roof is no fun. I can't wait to see the siding.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it finished! You've done so much to make you new home a special place. I bet your neighbors just love you! 🥰😁
ReplyDeleteYour flower boxes are always so gorgeous! Hard as I try I can't keep them blooming. What's your secret?
ReplyDeleteI water everyday with it being very hot here twice a day and I feed with Miracle grow once a week. I use the bottle you hook on the hose and do reg. feed one week and bloom booster the next week. It helps them bloom and grow so much better. Hope that helps. Thanks for your visit.
DeleteIt will feel great to have it done - we will be needing a new roof soon too!
ReplyDeleteWe had a new roof done about 15 years ago (soon it will be time for another one - ugh!) and I still to this day remember how noisy it was. I ended up with a terrible headache. I also feel sorry for Buddy. Between the fireworks and now this, poor pup. Give him extra love and hugs!
ReplyDeleteI guess I should also feel sorry for the roofers in this heat, too. ;-)
I am so excited for you Kris. When it is all done, it will feel fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI am not doing a good job taking photos of my project I am working on. I must do so! Ha!
Your cottage is SO cute. Can you sell some of your old siding or create signs on the pieces? I am such a dumpster diva. LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh Kris, you are almost there!
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finished project !! How exciting!!Stay safe, healthy and happy!
Hugs.
Debbie
What a lot of work to get done at once but it will be so beautiful when it's done (not that it isn't lovely already...)
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week Kris xoxox
Roof work is very loud, it's horrible but they usually go pretty fast. Hopefully Buddy can take the siding getting done. Between the 4th of July and this he will be a tired pup.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the house finished, exciting!
Cindy
How fabulous, your sweet cottage will be completely made over. The flowers are so gorgeous. I hope you are enjoying the summer days. hugs
ReplyDeleteThis is going to look brand new and your flowers are amazing.
ReplyDeleteGosh Kris! That sounds like a horrendous job - BUT it will be so worth it to have everything new. Your flowers are looking amazing, such a very good idea to have taken them away to the back, to keep them safe. I hope that Buddy is coping with all of the noise and upheaval ok. Hugs, Gilly x
ReplyDeleteIt will feel so wonderful to have it all done for you two (and Buddy of course) to just enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBrendad
Kris, everything is looking so good girl. Loving that pillow and those flowers! WOW! Beautiful. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteKris, I was worried about your pretty flowers when you mentioned all the work being done. Looks like they are being careful. Your beautiful flowers always amaze me..Stay well..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThat is so noisy! Bet you and Buddy will be glad when it is done. But how nice it will be to be finished and all new. Your flowers are gorgeous as usual. Mine are really suffering from the heat here. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteOh you're kidding me?? That doesn't sound like a fun job to home for...but I bet it will all look fantastic when complete. The flowers are gorgeous. We're sitting on our covered porch now and it's nothing but green grass and green hostas over here. I was telling the girls about all your color and they said ok mom, get on it! Ha! They should know better by now that my gardening thumb is the color of mud...not emeralds! Hope the noise has calmed down some...xxoo
ReplyDeleteYour plants are beautiful. I cannot wait to see the progress. I know you are ready for it to be done.....
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful it will be when you have it all done. you have an amazing green thumb, my friend. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteOh, your sweet cottage is getting a new bonnet! As my husband says, a roof protects everything under it. It is so hot here now that our crew starts at 5 a.m. and has to quit by 11 or 12, especially when they're doing steel shingle roofs like the big one they're on now. The actual temperature on a roof is so much hotter than on the ground. Our son almost had a heat stroke the other day. You will be so happy to have your new roof and new siding! Although I hadn't noticed that it needed it, as pretty as it always looks in your pictures.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers, Kris! Your outdoor signature!
Hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteKris, Glad you got your flowers to safety. :) Wow those flowers are awesome. A new roof is such peace of mind. Hope the crew did their own clean up. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteso much effort, but you will surely reap the rewards of having everything updated. Your flowers are amazing
