No Sew Kitchen Chair Covers

Hello Everyone.  Hope your Labor Day Weekend was a good one.
I found these Ray Dunn pillows at HomeGoods on the clearance shelf for $10.

They were going to be too big of pillows to set on my two ladder back kitchen chairs.  I decided to take the pillow inserts out and make a slipcover for the back of the ladder back chairs.

The pillow was sewn together at the top and the bottom of the pillow case.  I took my sharp scissors and cut along the seam on the bottom of the pillow case.

I do not own a sewing machine or sew.  I envy you people that can sew.  I do not sew but.... I do have a hot glue gun!

After I cut the front and back sides at the bottom of the pillow cases I folded over the seam and used the glue gun instead of sewing.

I put dots of the hot glue along the pillow case where I wanted to fold over and make a seam.

It made a nice flat seam for the front and back bottom of the pillow case.

I then put the pillow case over the chair back and carefully marked where the top of the pillow case needed to be cut to let the post of the chair to come through.

Have a great week.
Hugs,
Kris

  18. Those are darling Kris and came out so perfect! I love the no sew projects, even though I do sew! I just heard of some good glue to use with fabric, that's supposed to work way better than hot glue! It's E6000 Fabric Glue. I guess it's very very strong and yet flexible and not hard like hot glue. Just an FYI. I'm going to get some and see how it works on making fabric gift bags. I see you have a checkered runner on your table, which also looks awesome! Hugs.. Marilyn

  25. I'm not partial to sewing, LOVE the idea of gluing, you have opened new horizons for me! Good for you finding something at home goods, ours is so depleted its not worth the effort of suiting up for the pandemic.
