Hello Sweet Friends. Hope the week was a good one for all of you.
Thought I would show you my tree. This will be my last year for this tree. Next year I would like to downsize my tree to a sparse tree. There are so many nice ones I have seen this year but everyone of the ones I liked sold out quickly. :( I hope I can find something next year when the new ones come out again.

I put this wreath up in the middle window of my bay window. I just wanted softness to this wreath.
|
|
I also added a pair of my old skates with some greens in the bay window area.

My tree has seen many years so this will be her last year. I really want something a little more sparse for next year. My daughter is going to inherit this tree from me for her home. This tree is pretty but a little too big for this tiny living room. I put some eucalyptus with ribbon on my armoire doors. Very simple.

I did up my coffee table pretty simple this year too. Of course you can see Buddy's throw on my white couch in the background. He loves this throw and sleeps there most of the day.

I have this old chippy pedestal with some greens and flowers. I added my beautiful angel gifted me a few years ago from Shirley at https://www.housepitalitydesigns.com/ . This is one of my favorite angels. I also have my sparkle white wired trees and my three candles on a crystal pedestal. Again very simple.

I am loving my simple decor this year. Mostly white with touches of green and neutrals. I do enjoy my tree at night. The glow and softness of the lights is very relaxing to me. Hope your decorating is going well and you all are enjoying your decor. This time of year goes so quickly. Have a great weekend.

Beautiful. Love the wreath ..I have a wreath I made with mostly lace as I am a real sucker, so to speak, lol... for a lovely piece of lace and/or crochet.. Nice how the simple Eucalyptis Tree is so pretty..I have a tree in my yard and always enjoy bringing it in for the beauty and aroma of it.....I bet your home does look cozy at night with calming white..looks like you are ready for the holiday Season and a "long Winter's night". Beautiful Wintry Wonderland. Have a fun weekend. Thanks for sharing..so pretty and inspirational.
ReplyDeleteEverything is so beautiful Kris. You have a special touch.

Very pretty. It reminds me of snow!
ReplyDeleteSimply Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully decorated room, Kris! I love the eucalyptus swags on your armoire.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks so lovely and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteOh Kris, love the wreath in the window. Your tree is pretty but I get it a more narrow sparse one would be great.
ReplyDeleteBe careful some of the sparse trees are wide. I have German twig trees. Narrow and shows my ornaments well.
We put ours in a basket this year to keep Peanut safe since she can't see. Looks nice.
Enjoy your weekend!
Hugs,
Cindy
It's a beautiful tree, but I know what you mean about the right sized tree for small spaces. I have throws for Charlie and Ivy too. Don't we spoil our precious pets? Of course we do!

Everything looks so beautiful and serene.....I LOVE your tree and all the decorations. Just stunning!!!!

That's beautiful, Kris. I like the clean look so much. I wish I could curb my own enthusiasm a little more, but once I start, I feel guilty for not using most everything (is that a parochial education hazard or what??). When you know you can hand down something that someone else will use, that definitely makes changing things out much easier. I did do that last year. I love your coffee table vignettes, and the eucalyptus on the knobs of the armoire. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am going to steal your idea for the eucalyptus with the white ribbon- it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks lovely. I love your tree all lit up at night. The wreath looks so pretty with the ice skates below. Happy weekend Kris. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt’s all beautiful and serene. I bet it is really sparkly at night! I know you’re enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteI have the opposite problem...my tree is too narrow for our new space. I don’t think I’ll get rid of it though as I can use it in a different spot and I’d like to have a real tree next year. We’ll see. I wish I had kept some of my more colorful ornaments too. I really wanted the sparkle of color this year to brighten things up. Oh well. It’s still pretty.
Hope you have a good week! Hugs,
Cecilia
Kris, I absolutely love the skates. Your daughter will be happy to have that tree. The sprays you put on the armoire doors is wonderful. You really have a special decorating talent. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteYour tree is so pretty and looks real Kris. I love how it's decorated with all white ornaments. The skates are a great idea and look so festive. Your daughter is going to love this tree. I have a slim tree in the LR that I love. It's a good tree for a small room that I bought last year in Home Depot. Hope you have a nice weekend Kris.
ReplyDeleteKris-Everything is ever-so-beautiful....as it always is. I have been lucky enough to see your home at Christmas time when all is merry and bright. Sadly, mere pictures can't show the depth and lushness of what you do. It is like walking into a magical Christmas place when visiting your home. Sure will be missing that this year. Planning on next year for sure! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh my...how lovely. It's like you are living in a snow castle:) I always enjoy seeing other people's "white" homes, but I have to have my color. (Hubby likes color too so that's good!) RED is my favorite color and most rooms (not all) have some red. But white always seems so calming. You certainly have a talent for lovely decorating.
ReplyDeletethat is such a gorgeous tree, Kris. Love the wreath and all the wonderful soft green and white. I can imagine the beauty all lit up at night!!
ReplyDeleteDearest Kris, no matter what is going on, you always find a way to emulate beauty. No snow here makes if feel like late summer - I guess I'm strange for being disappointed that there is no snow! But it just doesn't feel like Christmas is coming...but we make our homes into whatever we want and for that, I'm grateful! Your tree looks fabulous and though I like the tree I just purchased from Target, I really have my eye on the one at IKEA! We'll all have to jump on making that purchase of a dream tree soon because I have a feeling they'll be out of stock again!
ReplyDeleteKris, it's always so beautiful. Merry! Merry!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree, Kris!
ReplyDeleteI have a soft throw on my couch, too and the cats take turns sleeping there. Sometimes, both of the cats will be sleeping on the couch and then there is nowhere for me and Brian to sit, lol.
So pretty, Kris. I know I have gone simpler also inside! The corner cabinet is still bare, and I'm simply decorating with lights and a tiny bit of floral. Even my usual excess in the kitchen is reduced to bows and some bright linens. With no company, I'm using what pleases us---Hubby put up two strings of lights in the main bathroom, and that will be it. Sure is a different year, and you will love a sparse tree (we even didn't put up the big tree this year). Those skinny IKEA trees were amazing, I'm not surprised if they sold out! Hugs, Sandi
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely. I would enjoy sitting in the evening with all the twinkle lights too, very relaxing and romantic.
ReplyDeleteOh the wreath is so pretty. Love the tree, it’ll be fun to see what you get next year! I have a bed on the sofa for !my cats, so spoiled, but they like to cuddle! I held back on some of my deco too, I need to purge!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is gorgeous Kris and your daughter will be blessed to inherit it! We downsized ours a couple years ago, too and have never looked back, lol.
ReplyDeleteYour living room is stunning! I love the white ribbon and eucalyptus on your armoire, and the pretty ice skates....I love it all, really! You are talented, My Friend!
ReplyDeleteSuch delightful decor Kris... I love the simple decor touch more these days too. Love the old skates in the window, what a delightful touch! How lovely that your daughter will inherit your tree, it is a beauty. Indeed this season is a time to savor, as it does seem to pass so very quickly!
ReplyDeleteOh my mercy! I just love that tree and your window. I love it all. I so love and admire that you think outside the box! I love all that you do. Girl, what a beautiful white Christmas. Happy week to you. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love everything about your place, always, but somehow at during the holidays it's even more fabulous. And I get it, we have a slim tree. We bought it our first Christmas together when we lived in a a tiny apartment. I always thought we'd get a larger tree at some point. Two tiny houses later, it still fits the bill. Enjoy the lights! xo
ReplyDeleteThe tree is beautiful. I bet your daughter will love it. The whites are peaceful.Love it. I hope you are staying well.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Kris! You always make magical Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteYour tree and other decorations look lovely! The white is so tranquil! Such a beautiful glow at night! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteFunny, my thoughts seeing that tree was how perfectly it fit there and how beautiful it is. Wow- it looks amazing. Your entire room is gorgeous - sparkly, bright and lovely.
ReplyDeleteStunning tree - I really love the photo of it lit up. Wish I could have candles on my coffee table but Max's tail would be on fire all the time... xox
ReplyDeleteSeeing all your white on white is joyful! With a house full of black fur, ok brown, you have to throw in the mud covering the black, all your posts are just heaven!y!
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!! It would work well as Winter decor too!! Thinking of leaving it up for the Winter????
Hugs,
Deb
