I love these beautiful windows in this condo and did not want to cover them up. I knew they needed some kind of framing. I think this was the perfect solution. Sheers and the bamboo cordless shades. With being in the third floor no one can see in so I really did not need anything on the windows but I thought this look would just frame them out nicely.
I am waiting on my new kitchen cabinet doors to come in so we can finish up the kitchen next. I am still pulling together things and we have just a few more projects to finish up. I like the new whites and natural woods and textured pieces to the decor.
We are loving how quiet this place is and how pretty the views are out our windows. Buddy is adjusting nicely to going for walks. It has been hot here like August weather hot and humid. Hoping some rain moves in soon to cool things down.
Have a great week. Hope to have more to show you soon. xoxo Kris |
Gorgeous! and that dresser looks an awful lot like the one I found a few years ago and stripped all the paint off of. Nice find! (for both of us ;) ) xoxox
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is WOW !!! I love what you did. Your home looks so inviting and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking good. Love your new place.
ReplyDeleteLooking good. I know you are having a great time creating your signature look in the new place.
ReplyDeleteI like the new dresser, and the way you are adding wood tones with your white decor. Did you move your “office“? I hope all went well with the plumber.
ReplyDeleteMy office is in our bedroom.
DeleteEverything is looking wonderful. I am glad that you are getting settled and I bet you have some pretty views to gaze upon. I hope that you have a most wonderful week Kris. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteSo pretty....I love the new sheers and bamboo shades! The new dresser is just perfect too. Gorgeous!!!!!!!!

I am a little confused...where is your office? Is it in another room? I thought it was in the living room. Perhaps I am mistaken. Did you get rid of the plantation shutters...I hope not. Has your plumbing issue been resolved? And last, but not least, and perhaps it is the angle of your camera, if you are on the third floor, why do I see a street and another home? Your previous photos just showed trees outside your windows.
ReplyDeleteThe plantation shutters are in our bedroom and my desk is in the alcove in our bedroom. We are on the top floor of the old mansion so we see out to the high trees. Very pretty. The trees are outside of our bedroom window where my desk is.
DeleteLooking great! Love the natural touches! Did you get your bed yet?
ReplyDeleteHi Kris! There is something about woven blinds and white sheers that is just so calming and tranquil. Those windows are truly beautiful - love how they are inset. Glad to hear Buddy is getting used to walks, probably a big change for him. Jane
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how it all looks together! Glad to hear that Buddy is adjusting well. Have a great week! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh Kris, this is perfect. Your mantle fits perfectly on that wall flanked by the windows. Where is your dining area from that view?
ReplyDeleteOh, Kris, I am loving this new condage - hahaha! I just renamed your condo/cottage! Seriously, though, those window treatments and the wood/leather tones you're adding are really awesome. I love it.
ReplyDeleteKris! Does Terry have a man cave for his firefighter memorabilia? I'm really loving your addition of natural woods with your white. Nancy
ReplyDeleteWow lots of "anonymous" questions up there!!! Your house looks amazing as always. You can take any room and make it your own gf, it is a gift. I love the cute little dresser and your drapes are gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the sheers and woven blinds! Nice textures. You do have a very nice view. Is there enough room for Buddy to sit in the window and look out? The dresser is a perfect find for your new home. Hope your bed arrived and your cabinets will soon be there to be installed. How is Terry? xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou brought your fireplace! It looks perfect between the windows. The window treatments are lovely and tie in with the whites and natural woods beautifully.
ReplyDeleteKris, I really like the additions of the bamboo shades, the natural wood pieces, and the recliner to your white decor. I have always liked that look, and you pull it together so beautifully. Glad Buddy is adjusting so well, and that you are happy with the environment. Life is too short not to enjoy your surroundings. Looking forward to seeing more of your charming place. Hugs, Nancy

The window treatments pair nicely together. I have bamboo blinds in our family room, and I like them for the same reason you do, the added texture. Your condo is really looking pretty, My Friend! :D
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how fast you have everything set up in the living room Kris. The blinds and the shades look great with the dresser and the chair. I love the light colored flooring. It all seems to go together great. I hope you got your bed, and the washer/dryer situation taken care of! I am glad that Buddy is adjusting to his new home too. Take care and have a nice week Kris.
ReplyDeleteHi Kris. I think I missed something. Why did you move sweetie? Your little cottage was adorable. I hope all is well and it wasn't due to ill health. I love your new place but wondering why the move? You know us nurses, our minds always go to health matters. I pray you both are well.😘
ReplyDeleteNo health issues just wanted to speed up our retirement plans. Have a good week.
DeleteLovely! I actually prefer curtains!

Just getting around here finally. It looks great Kris. I think you did a perfect job on the windows. I like sheers, too. They are just enough sometimes but I like them paired with the shades. Fun to see Terry’s old recliner back!
