Hello Everyone. We are so close now. Just waiting on a few things to come and we should have the condo put together. It seems like all the little things are taking the longest time.
Becoming condo dwellers I knew I would have to give up my garden flowers after having them for over 30 years. I knew I was ready to let go but knew I would miss having my flowers to care for. So a great compromise is I volunteered to decorate the front entry of the condos with some flowers. This will give me a small amount of flowers to care for and not a big commitment.
These are in the early stages. In about a month with feeding and caring for these flowers they will look so pretty. It has been raining all day when I took the pics so they are a little wilty from the rain.
I love the grounds and how pretty this neighborhood is. I will enjoy seeing these two hanging bags and potted flowers grow and thrive this summer. |
I am so glad you will have flowers to attend too. What a gift to the whole condo! They are so blessed to have you.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your new condo!! The front is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteStay safe,healthy and happy!!
Hugs,
Debbie
The flowers you chose are so beautiful!! I'm glad you were able to play in the dirt and enjoy some blooms.

Aha!! She emerges from under all the weight of those moving boxes, and presents us all with beautiful flowers! Kris ~ you are a wonder!

Hi Kris! Your building is absolutely stunning and how wonderful it is for you to work some flower magic for the front area. Your neighbors are going to love yohr blooms. I think the converted mansion is just so cool. I'd love to see the inside of some of the other units in the building! Jane
ReplyDeleteThe entrance to your building is beautiful. You'll have to take photos later in the summer after the containers have filled out and post them! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea that was. Now you have flowers to tend to and everyone can enjoy them too. The front of that building is beautiful. I love those windows, the shutters, the light fixtures, the door. Just gorgeous. Glad Buddy has a yard to run and play in. It's his house too so he needs to be happy. So looking forward to the before and afters.
ReplyDeleteKris, I believe you've found the perfect solution to feed your need to work with flowers, as well as bless the other residents, and those strolling by. Volunteering to do this is a beautiful gesture, and I'm sure the others in your building appreciate you already! These flowers will bring smiles to everyone. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful building Kris! How wonderful that you have got some flowers to tend to - perfect! So pleased to hear that Buddy is adapting well to his new space, bless him. Really looking forward to seeing those before and after pics. I hope that Terry's injury is healing well. Hugs to you both, Gilly
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart idea! You get to have beautiful flowers and share them with your new neighbors! They look beautiful. I'm glad you're getting settled in ( did your bed show up yet?). I'm sure y'all will love your new home! Can't wait to see all the pics! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a GORGEOUS HOME! And to think that your talents and passion for gardening can still be implemented for the benefit of all the people there. Kris, this is such a blessing.
ReplyDeleteThe condo exterior is just beautiful and you have found a way to put your gardening stamp on it. All the residents can enjoy your green thumb. The flowers have always been so beautiful at all the JCCs. I can just see Buddy running around "his" yard! He has new places to sniff and explore. Looking forward to more pictures! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the pictures!
ReplyDeleteAh, I was wondering about your flowers. 😊 This is a nice way to keep your hands in the dirt without a lot of time or commitment. It really is a beautiful place. Glad to hear Buddy is adjusting well. Hoping y'all get settled soon.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cecilia
How great that you are able to take care of flowering the front entry! Do you have porch or deck?
ReplyDeleteKris, I am so glad to get an update.
ReplyDeleteStay away from weird things😬😁
I am really happy to hear that you are adjusting to condo life.
The flowers look so beautiful
The condo building is lovely and the grounds are perfect for Buddy to run and play. So glad you are able to donate some of your gardening skills. The flowers are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to see what you and Terry have been up to. xoxo
Those flowers already have your special touch! I think giving up flower gardening completely would be very difficult for you. This is a great compromise. Your new building and grounds are absolutely gorgeous! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see more. I love what you have done so far and the flowers look so pretty by the door.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to live in such a beautiful old vintage style place. Looks like a stately mansion.

Morning Kris,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely building for your condo, and that was a great idea and compromise for you to do the entry way, it looks lovely and gives you some flowers to putz with but not a huge commitment as well. Looking forward to seeing your new place and all the work you have put in.
Blessings,
Nellie
