Terry and I took a mental health day and drove into Michigan to have a day away. Of course I visited some of my fave shops over there! Found these beautiful patina gates. |
They had a beautiful patina and white and chippy in all the right places. I cannot wait to show you what I do with these. |
Found this sweet hand painted daisy vase. Yep that was coming home with me. |
Just a sweet little addition to my coffee table. |
This great clock I found at Kirklands. Gotta love Kirkland's for fun things for your home decor plus 25% off sale made this clock even cuter!!!! |
It brings in some more of the light natural wood element. |
I love everything you did and the angel on the book is so cute. Great job.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, Kris! So fresh, so light! Your rooms should be in magazines! Love everything! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteOMG those gates are DIVINE.....so in love!! The little daisy vase is so sweet too. Everything looks sooooooo pretty!!!!

ReplyDeleteKris, your bedroom is gorgeous. This place really suits you and all the white you've used to transform it really makes everything pop out with such beauty. Love the addition of natural wood!
That sounds such a perfect idea for both of you! Even better that you had the chance to enjoy some of your favourite shops - they never seem to let you down. That clock is gorgeous and so is the vase! Really looking forward to seeing what you do with those beautiful gates! Your new home looks more and more amazing with each post that you do. Did I hear right? Colour in the bedroom! Can't wait to see that! Hugs, Gilly
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing how you're making this lovely condo your own sweet home. You have such a great eye for detail, Kris. The clock is a great addition, and it will be fun to see what you do with the gates. Have a great week! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your decor, flowers in every room, the whiteness of your home speaks peace to me.
ReplyDeleteLove the gates you found. can't wait to see what you will do with them.
Your bedroom is so pretty with lots of light. I do love your "office". What a great place to sit and enjoy the view. The daisy vase is precious and I love the figurine on the books. xoxo

ReplyDeleteOh my, the gates are beautiful! Michigan has great shops. We don't have shops like this around here anymore.
ReplyDeleteLove the clock and the bird house too
HUGS,

I can't believe the transformation of this space in such a short time. It looks so calm, warm, and inviting. I have a feeling I know what you're doing with those gorgeous gates and it's going to be stunning! 😉

Everything is looking so pretty. The daisy vase is a finishing touch. How lovely the gates are. You have our curiosity up wondering what you are going to do with them. I am glad you got a day away and enjoy shopping at your favorite stores. Xoxo

ReplyDeleteSimply Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING is looking soooo pretty. I love the white chippy vintage gates! :D I look forward to see what you do with them.
ReplyDeleteWho else needs a mental health day shopping with Kris in Michigan? I do!!!!!
Your new home Kris - I am just swooning! That daisy vase is terribly sweet. I am also jealous Buddy uses his steps. Palmer has terrible arthritis and I'm so afraid he will hurt himself jumping up on the bed. We bought him steps, but he won't have anything to do with them. He actually is terrified of steps, except the ones leading to our bedroom. He has never been in our finished basement lol. I'm thinking maybe a ramp. Sometimes I will sleep with him in our guest room which has a much lower bed. Anyhoo, your bedroom is so pretty and restful. I'm really transitioning to a more neutral palette for our new house. It just seems so calming. Enjoy the week! Jane
ReplyDeleteSO PRETTY----can't wait to see the color you are bringing in!
ReplyDeleteKathleen
So glad you two got a day off to enjoy! You have been so busy! Love the gates. I'm sure you will do something wonderful with them. We've had rain, rain and more rain. Parts of Tulsa had 13" this morning. Everything is so water soaked. Plants love it tho. We have rain and then high Temps so everything is growing like crazy. Havr a great week.
ReplyDeleteLove those gates. I suppose it would be too hard to sneak them under my skirt to take with me when I get to visit you! lol. You have done a fantastic job with everything, Kris, in spite of all that has been going on in life. So glad you and Terry were able to sneak away for a day.
ReplyDeleteTara & Glen just took the ferry out of Milwaukee to the lower peninsula and loved the trip-they came back up around and over the Mackinaw bridge to come home. xo Diana
Dear Kris, you never cease to amaze me on how 'FAST' you can change a space to your 'OWN'. I ponder for ages before I change things, waiting for the space to speak to me. Ha, I like your way better! HUGS, and it is really becoming YOUR home FAST!
ReplyDeleteI love all your shopping treasures and that daisy vase is just darling. I love the flowers in it, too. Are they faux?? They look so real, but I don't think I see any water. Do tell!! I'm getting tired of buying roses every week only to watch them wilt and die in three days. Your flowers look so fresh! xxoo
ReplyDeleteEverything has found it's perfect place in your new home, Kris. LOVE the gates! It all looks so bright and beautiful. So glad you guys were able to get away. Have a happy week ahead. Smooches. xxoo

Morning Kris,
ReplyDeleteWow, everything is looking great over there. Loved your pretty vase with the daisies and that lil angel on the book, so cute. Can't wait to get a close up look at your fireplace in the back drop of that picture. Those gates are gorgeous and can't wait to see what you guys are gonna do with them, and your bedroom. Everything looks so lovely and so YOU......Nice yall had a lil getaway too. Have a lovely day hon.
We are excited cause our daughter is coming in today until Saturday, so looking forward to it. Take care,
Blessings, Nellie
Kris, I'm finally caught up on this adventure. Did Terry move to a new station? I didn't catch that part. I totally love the new condo/mansion. What a fun way to add a little change to your life. Glad you have an elevator. I know how those Buddy walks can be if you have to go up/down three flights. Lived that way once in a place where the elevator kept breaking down. Wish I could say it made my legs shapely. I managed to eat and retain my weight. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty Kris! I really love that clock and the tallboy dresser. Have a happy week! xoxoxo
