| I started a little of my fall decor. A little early since we are still having summer temps here in Illinois. Our summer this year has been above normal in heat and humidity. Not a lot of those beautiful 80's and no humidity days. I am a summer girl but I am looking forward to fall this year. |

 This is a special weekend for Terry and I. We will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We rented a beach house in Michigan for the weekend. Our daughters and SIL's and grandgirls will be joining us to celebrate. Hoping maybe next year Terry and I can plan a great destination anniversary celebration. I just have no desire to get on a plane right now or go to any places where the virus is rampant again. We will be patient and hope to plan a fun trip for next year. In the meantime spending the weekend on the beach with beautiful weather with our family will be a great gift to Terry and I. Have a great rest of the week. In the UK we call it a Ruby Wedding Anniversary, for 40 years, and apparently the two flowers associated with this anniversary are the Nasturtium and the gladiola. Nasturtium symbolises loyalty and and strong devotion between a long-term married couple. Meanwhile gladiola bears a meaning of infatuation, sincerity and admiration. Enjoy your getting away family celebration and like you my friend, we'll be celebrating our 40th in March 2022 but we don't feel good about getting on a plane but if we could, we'd escape to the English countryside. ReplyDeleteWe had our 50th this year and our celebration was simply an al fresco lunch at a favorite restaurant rather than a trip to Portugal. But it was wonderful just as your beach getaway will be. Have fun.
