The new project is these cute little ottomans. I got them at a cute shop for $20 each. SCORE! I will either replace the tops with the pillow fabric or I will have a slipcover in white made for each of them. Not sure if the wheels will stay since I want to use them as ottomans. Stay tuned to see what I do with these.
It is overwhelming when you have so many cute choices for drapes, rugs, pillows. Since it is a big commitment and cost you have to really love what you pick. With how I like to change things up I decided to stay safe and keep the drapes I have and just add texture and print in pillows and decor pieces.
I am a white, chippy, vintage pieces and neutral girl as most of you know that follow me. I think this will be the best option. I loved all your thoughts on the different choices I had.
Have a great weekend. xoxo Kris |
As usual, your decision is perfect. Love the idea of using the fabric on pillows instead. Much less expensive and not as risky. Go you, girl!
ReplyDeleteI love your drapes and shades, too. Good idea to keep those. I am behind reading but love the floral fab and can't wait to see what happens with your stools..agree. Score. Have a great weekend. TGIF.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is very pretty! I can't wait to see it all come together.....

That's the one I would've picked. Very pretty. Good choice!
ReplyDeleteHi Kris. I agree on keeping the curtains. A crispy clean white drape/curtain is classic and easy. Bamboo blinds NEVER go out of style and go with everything too. Love your two little ottomans. What a great find!
ReplyDeleteGood morning dear Kris! Good choice. Introducing seasonal colors with pillows and other easy to move/store items has always worked for me while keeping the fixed objects (furniture, drapes) the same:neutral!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choice, Kris! I agree that you should always go with your gut. I can't wait to see what you do with the ottomans. They are just adorable. xo
ReplyDeleteI think you made a good decision to keep the drapes you already have up. The cream floral fabric will look beautiful for the pillows you make. I love those pretty ottomans and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Enjoy the weekend Kris.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric you have chosen for pillows and those darling ottomans. I'm glad you decided to keep the white curtains. I couldn't believe it when I saw your curtains and said they're DKNY and you got them at HG...I was there this afternoon, and I picked out two different curtains for the living room. One was the exact ones that you have! lol I don't know if pure white will go in my living room though. The other pair is a beige linen. I'll have to hang them up to see what looks good.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good weekend!
Yes, good choice. Good for you in deciding. I like the ottomans.
ReplyDeleteLove your choice! The print will make pretty pillows. The drapes are perfect with the button trim on the pinch pleats and the shades look so nice with them. The lines on the little stools are pretty. Can't wait to see what you do with the new fabric and the stools, just to put your stamp on them. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove your choice and can’t wait to see them finished as well as the ottomans. I’m sure I will love it as much as you!!
ReplyDeleteI think that is a very wise decision Kris, those white drapes that you have are gorgeous and I think that you would struggle to better them. The fabric that you haven chosen is just perfect for what you plan to do. I love your new buy and look forward to seeing what you do to them. Have Spring Day to you xoxo
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with your new ottomans. You are wise to stick with what you love and what you love is always fabulous. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteGreat decision! I don't know as I'd cover an ottoman in white, because people's dirty shoes rest on it, but if you can wash them, no problem.

Wonderful decision. Sticking to what you love is always a winner. Darling ottomans. Can't wait to see what you do with them. Happy Sunday. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love what you choose! So very pretty and so you my friend. It's crazy but most often the first thing that I look at and it jumps out at me is usually what I go with. Happy Spring dear Kris. Hugs and blessing, Cindy

ReplyDeleteThat fabric is lovely and it looks like you! Your drapes look so nice and I love the button trim at the top. The footstools are wonderful. I love footstools! You're making your home so lovely.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

It IS overwhelming when it comes to picking patterns for window treatments. I usually go for something quite plain so I can change other things up without a clash of materials. LOVE those little ottomans. What a find and I love the fabric you picked. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteKris, I love the one you chose. The ottomans were a great find and will look so pretty recovered. I am glad you decided to keep your curtains and shades. I am sorry I am so late in commenting, Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm trying to play catch up with your posts, Kris. :) I went back and looked at your first post about this room and your fabric samples. I think you'll be really happy with your choice. I love your current curtains with the buttons. So sweet, and they look great with your bamboo shades. It'll be fun to see what you do with the ottomans. Happy Sunday! Hugs.
