I like having baseboards around the bathroom. Before it was just the tiles on the wall hitting the tiles on the floor. |
We pulled out the vanity and sink and put the beadboard behind the vanity to keep the look going. |

Oh wow! So much prettier than before and what a great idea that tape is. Let me know how it holds up over time. It may come in very useful for me too! Have a lovely weekend Kris! Anne from DD by Anne xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteI love it!!!
ReplyDeleteYou two are just amazing. This beadboard looks as if it was there from the beginning and the work it must have taken to get it in back of the toilet and have everything fit....your guy is patient and willing! Looks amazing, Kris!
ReplyDeleteWow Kris, you and Terry never cease to amaze me. It looks fantastic and I bet that tape will hold just fine!
ReplyDeleteHow very clever....but why am I surprised?? You two are very inventive and I love that you didn't have to tear down everything to create such a sweet spot. Congratulations on your ingenuity.
ReplyDeleteKris - that looks so very beautiful, and cottage like! Much more like your taste, Well done to your wonderful Terry, for making your dream come true, once again xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! It is so you, Kris, and Terry is a master carpenter! Have to keep that tape in mind. A person can never know when something like that would come in handy.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend! We are have low 60s in the mornings and love to mid 80s during the day. I have been canning tomato recipes and next up will be potatoes. It makes a huge mess in the kitchen but the finished products are well worth it. I have the vinegar cleaner out, ready to tackle the stoves. xoxo
Hi Kris,
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks great as always. That Alien tape sound awesome. Hope it holds up
long term, the fact you have the chair railed at the top nailed in should help I would think. Any way, it looks awesome and def looks cottage style. Lovely Look. Enjoy.
Hope you are doing well hon,
Blessings, Nellie
Thanks for sharing, great idea that I may have to use later when I'm ready to do mine!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, you'd never know there were tiles underneath and what a difference! My favorite DIY Dynamic Duo for the win again! xo

Hi Kris, it's Anita! I don't know why my Castles Crowns and Cottages is showing up as anonymous!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea, and brilliant of you & Terry to use that Alien Tape. I love how you two experiment and share your ideas with us. This would be a great tool for a renter too. It looks so good Kris. Definitely more your cottage style. Love it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Kris! I've always wondered how good the Alien Tape holds. If it holds bead board, it must be pretty good. Your bathroom is just beautiful. xo
ReplyDeleteWow, that is amazing! Never heard of Alien tape. I agree I like the bead board look a lot better than the tiles on the wall.
ReplyDeleteWow, your bathroom looks amazing! I was unaware of Alien tape, but now I know. The bead board gives the perfect cottage look. Kudos to both of you!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous!! It really makes the wallpaper stand out even more. You have such a great design eye. That tape looks cool...I'm anxious to see if it works!! In the meantime, enjoy that new charming look!! xxoo
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful change! I love white bead board! I have it in my bedroom. I think it adds such character to a room. Using that two-sized tape was such a smart idea! Sweet new look! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteKris - this turned out beautifully! The whole bathroom now looks like a fairy tale! So pretty and fresh. I too am waiting to hear that the Alien tape has help up as promised!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of beadboard.. and boy does it look great in your bathroom. As usual, Terry worked his magic... I like the part "he made it work"... yup.. he always does! I bought a similar tape to put up some silver ceiling (looking) tiles above my woodstove.. had a few fires last winter and it held fast even with some heat. I have a big piece of beadboard sitting in my living room, behind a piece of furniture, that I've wanted to put on that wall, but just never have! Now if I could use that tape.... I could do it! Just didn't know how to nail it on or what kind of nails, etc. I'm going to go check out the tape I bought and see if it's similar. Nice job you two! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteDarling. What a great idea. This is much more your style.
ReplyDeleteLooks so pretty! I love it!
ReplyDeleteCecilia
Love the new look..so much better, I, too, agree!!! That tape sounds amazing..and I am trying to think what I need it for, lol ..wow. You two are a super team, always. Thank you for sharing beautiful inspiration. Have a blessed Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI love your new bathroom look, Kris and how great that you were able to do it without removing the tiles. Fingers crossed on the tape holding. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, Kris! It looks fabulous, and I'm so intrigued by that tape! I'm already thinking about where I could use it!
ReplyDeleteHi Kris, I like it. I really like it, well done!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for sharing about the tape!
Hi Kris: Another great job under Terry's belt. I agree with you about tile. I am dreading cleaning tiny hexagon tiles on the guest bathroom floor. Used to get on my hands and knees and scrub with a brush, but those times have come and gone! I hope the tape works because it all looks beautiful and what a clean way to fix it up. So pretty and it was so nice to have a visit with you..Happy Monday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing!!!! Hopefully the tape holds up as advertised?!?!? I have never seen it before. Have a great week!
