This is where we started when we bought this condo 1.5 years ago.Not Kris from Junk Chic Cottage right?!!!
Well I had a vision!
It is amazing what shiplap, paint and new floors can do to change things. I got a new full length mirror that started a whole thing when all the Christmas decor came down and the new mirror was put in place. We are tweaking the mirror and I will have that to show you soon.
In the meantime it started a Whole Switch A Roo!
This blank canvas above the fireplace mantel will soon have a new decor piece. Still waiting on that to be delivered.
I will then have this space to show you.
This started some changes in the dining room. You can see the new chandelier and the arched window I had over our bed in the bedroomis now taking center space on the shiplap wall. This dining room is in the process of being transformed. Stay tuned.
I am taking full advantage of Terry being home after he retired from the Fire Service and has not started his new job yet! Hope to show you the gorgeous salvaged full length mirror in the living room and all the changes this started in my decor.
Things just take time and patience. Patience is not my forte!!!!! Hope to have a post up soon to show you my condo being transformed.
It is amazing where we started and where we are now and continue to be.
Happy New Year and Happy New Week.
Hugs,
Kris

ReplyDeleteThe before reminds me of my grandmother's old house. It is so dark and dreary. You now have a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't wait! You sure don't let grass grow underfoot, lol! Terry's probably looking forward to getting back to work again!
ReplyDeleteKRIS! WHAT?????? He retired? And you should see what we have planned for our new place and shiplap is involved! Gorgeous work what you've done!

Wish you still had your interior bicycle. Found your 3 homes or so ago, and love your style. Have been absent for awhile, but Happy 23.
ReplyDeleteWow, it was so dark and depressing before. But in comes Kris and Terry and what a magnificent and complete update you two did! So Terry is going to work after he retired?
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Kris, the changes will be gorgeous. I cannot wait to see what you two are working on. Happy week ahead. I still see a lot of anonymous bloggers. I wonder if their email and name is missing from their profile.
ReplyDeleteI think we are all waiting to see what you and Terry are doing to the condo. Huge contrast to how the living room looked when you first saw the condo to the sparkling home it is now. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI think we are excited to see the changes you and Terry will make. Such a contrast to the décor from when you first purchased the condo. Good luck to Terry on his new job! xoxo
ReplyDeletethe before picture looks very 90's. Personally I do not like the wall paper at all!
ReplyDeleteI bet that was the first thing you removed.
Well, I adore the transformation. This entire project has been very very helpful in keeping both of you "out of trouble"... which is something hubby and I struggle with every day 😂 😂 😂 😂
Seriously, the big comfy couch looks perfectly inviting for flopping and enough room for spreading out.
All of this looks very inviting and enchanting
It seems like after Christmas when everything comes down, it's easy to start thinking of changes. Whatever you'll do will be amazing I know. Have fun, can't wait to see the new look!
ReplyDeleteKris, I can't believe what the condo used to look like. What a huge difference you and Terry made in the look and decor. I can't wait to see the changes and I know it will look gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you've done with the mirror, and what will hang over your fireplace. It's fun to look back and see the dynamic change you've made in your adorable cottage-style condo! BTW you're wise to take advantage of Terry's being home before starting his new job! ;P
ReplyDeleteAnything you do turns out gorgeous. Looks like a totally different place. Looks like Kris lives here. Judy Clark

ReplyDeleteHi Kris,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.........sorry I am so late with that. Just finally feeling like myself again, it took 2 full weeks. So I am singing the Hallelujah chorus.
Wow, is all I could say when I saw the picture of what the condo looked like when yall took ownership. I had forgotten what an amazing transformation it was. Like the arched window in your dining room, course, liked the pictures that were there as well. Can't wait to see what yall have been up to.....
and Congratulations to Terry on the retirement, hope his new job is something he will really enjoy as well.
Still looks like Christmas at our house...............lol
Love and Blessings,
Nellie
