Inspiration picture. |
You can see the black hardware recycled with black paint. I loved that I could reuse keep the silver hardware and just paint them. |
I found this vintage looking faucet on Amazon. I liked the black offsetting all the white. |
This is the wall in the bathroom before. |
This is the after when I got another roll of the wallpaper I already had around the mirror. |
My sweet little vintage tile for hanging a hand towel. |
In this picture you can see the marble tiles and grout before and the heavy gray lines in the vanity top. |
I am loving the after. White pretty floors and new white vanity top. Only cost was the can of epoxy paint from Home Depot. |
Before floors and bathroom walls. |
After Bathroom floor and walls. |
This is the before shower. Again lots of tiles and grout to clean. |
We went with the one day bathroom shower install. We chose a small family run business instead of the big name Bathfitters or Planet Bath. The big and popular name places were way over budget and this small business was clean and in and out in one day. With only one bathroom in our condo we could not have our bathroom torn up for days or weeks. I chose simple white panels and black trim. The company is coming back this week to install a few more white shelves. They were back ordered at the time of the shower install. I like that the panel walls were not plastic and were a heavy duty wall panel for up keep and wear. The glass doors run on a barn door type pulley. I wanted simple that can go with any decor. I am going to order a pretty shower curtain from Simply French Market on Etsy. It will give some softness and flair to the glass doors. Kind of a trim piece. When I get that I will show you how it comes out. |
I had this vintage hanger and glad I saved it. It has a perfect place now in this bathroom to hang a towel on. Stepping out of the shower and having a towel right there is great. |
They open up and close on a barn door pulley system I bought on Amazon. |
You've made such a dramatic difference here! My mouth dropped open with the before/after pictures. You find a solution for every problem and for cost. The door situation solution is huge but even your details are pretty like the darling vintage towel hook by the new shower. Speaking of the shower, your smaller local company did a beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteOMG Kris......so pretty!!!!! I love how light and airy it is.....the white is so beauitful paired with the gorgeous wallpaper!!! I have never seen the pully system like that for bifold doors....so clever!!!! I bet you smile everytime you walk in there now?!?!?!

Kris, it's stunning!! Not only is it simply gorgeous, it's also full of super functional ideas. I love them all and want to redo my own bathroom now with new glass doors, new shower walls and floors without grout (grrr- it just never looks clean) and wallpaper! It's all so charming!! Those doors are genius, too. You my friend are the queen of ingenious renovation ideas!! Bravo!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clean and bright makeover - such a pretty bathroom! I have a serious question tho, is your toilet paper far from your toilet? I noticed it is by the shower under the towel and it was intriguing to me!!
ReplyDeleteNope the toilet paper shelf and holder are right across and not to far. I have very short arms and it is just fine. Found that little toilet paper holder with a phone shelf on Amazon and it was not expensive.
DeleteGorgeous Kris! You guys always have so many super ideas and how to get them accomplished. LOVE the wallpaper and the epoxy paint solution. So so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo much genius going on here I just can't take it! I love everything. We are re-doing a bathroom right now - I am sharing so many of these ideas with my hubby Thanks, Kris!
ReplyDeleteWow, Kris, with great risks come great rewards. Your nerve with using the epoxy on both the vanity and floor turned out SO good. I love the new shower. All these ideas, plus the door, the wallpaper, amd wall hook....super nice makeover.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Does the epoxy paint have a really strong smell? I want to use it, but I have cats and I don't want the smell to get them sick.
ReplyDeleteHi Audrey. It does smell for an hour or so until it begins to dry and seal. I used the epoxy paint for appliances it is not as strong smelling as some of the other epoxy paint. It does take a good 8 hours to really dry and seal. Have a great new week. Hugs. Kris
DeleteMorning Kris, Oh wow, love your new bathroom look. Very pretty. What a great idea
ReplyDeleteusing the epoxy on the sink top and the floor. looks great...........these are some really great ideas............look forward to seeing your pretty shower curtain once it's up.

ReplyDeleteGood morning Kris. Your bathroom looks beautiful. I do love the doors of the room and the shower!!
Epoxy paint is amazing. Your work is excellent, well done!
Fabulous changes to your bathroom! I look forward to seeing what you will do to add your own personal touches.
ReplyDeleteRainy and gloomy here in Indy. xoxo
Kris, the remodel is fabulous. I love everything you did. Epoxy paint was a great idea and of course didn’t blow a budget. It is absolutely beautiful, great job my friend!
ReplyDeleteKris, really pretty. You know I really love your wallpaper. Everything looks so bright and clean and much more easier to clean too. I love it all..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteKris, wow you and Terry did a great job with the updates to the bathroom. I love the way the white cabinet looks with the black draw pulls. The shower looks great and I like that the clean up will be faster and easier. Enjoy your new bathroom redo.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! You cease to amaze me…. Between your ideas and hubby’s expertise you accomplish the unimaginable. Can’t wait to see the shower curtain now too. Margy in KY
ReplyDeleteAgain, I am not surprised how you both transformed a room with a complete make over. You are so amazing at your vision and how you bring it to life. I need Terry to come over and do that epoxy to my kitchen floors, which I hate with a passion. You can even join him!!
ReplyDeleteKris, you and Terry are such pros at renovating. How pretty your bathroom looks. A lovely makeover. The tub, the vanity and floors look lovely. Love the pretty wallpaper. I know you are thrilled with the results. Hugs
ReplyDeleteKris, this is gorgeous! Every part of this space is amazing from the vanity, the shower and the door Terry built, wow just WOW. Love the wallpaper. I want to add wallpaper to our bathrooms but with Peanut right now it's not the time.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful as always! Great idea for using epoxy paint. Did you have to put a sealer on top? I wish I would have thought of that for my most ugly brown and gray checkered old linoleum floors. You go girl and Terry! Love it all!!!
ReplyDeleteKris - you have achieved the impossible once again! It's just fabulous and I think that it would be so good to have our bath taken out and a shower just life that. No more tiles! Absolutely wonderful! I look forward to seeing the amazing pieces that you will find to complete the look. Hugs, Gilly
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful! Love the space and money saving ideas, too! Another lovely redo! I'm sure you're enjoying it! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAmazing makeover, Kris and Terry! You two always come up with great solutions if something isn't working design-wise in your home. I had no idea you could paint a tile floor with epoxy paint. Re the shower: you said the panels aren't plastic. What are they made of? Since we need both bathrooms updated, I'm curious as to what's out there! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love it, Kris. The vanity and floor are so much calmer without all the lines. The shower looks great too. Great solution for the door! I know you are happy!
ReplyDelete😊 Cecilia
Kris, Can you take a pic of the exact epoxy paint you used? I think this is genius!
ReplyDeleteHi Fran. I will take a pic and put it at the end of my post. So check back there to see what the can of paint we used looks like. Kris
DeleteOh gosh Kris, your bath is a sight to behold! It is amazing that you were able to save some of your surfaces with the epoxy and also have turn out stunningly beautiful. You & Terry are fearless in the projects you tackle!
ReplyDeleteThat turned out great, Kris. When I saw the inspiration picture I was surprised and thought you were going to paint the vanity black. I thought...WHAT?...lol. I think the white is YOU through and through and the bathroom looks fantastic. Can't wait to see you Saturday!!!! xo xo xo
ReplyDeleteI love it. Thank you for the photos, the info and I really like the door.
ReplyDeleteWe have an upstairs bathroom that is tight.. this door idea might be the solution, I am going to share it with Jeremy.

I'm all about different colors, patterns, textures for wallpaper but I typically tend to shy away from floral prints, however I LOVE what you did. The vintage floral look in some areas of the wall with the neutral colors is perfect! It's super chic.

I am so behind looking at blogging as have gotten caught up on Instagram scrolling..lol. Boy..I missed out on this one..Your transformation is just beautiful. I love it all. I especially love the wallpaper and I am so glad its coming back as down our way..seems it went away for awhile. That epoxy paint sounds amazing...wow. I was just wondering if the smell is strong from the paint or does it go away quickly....asking for a friend who is ultral-sensitive to everything these days... :0( .. Thats so nice yall found a local small company to install the new shower. Everything is picture perfect...great job. We need a bath redo in our MB but the thought of going through that makes me nauseous..lol :) :( ... I think the floral on your mirror is beautiful and the door is very clever..have not seen that before. Wow..what a nice bathroom. Stay warm and get through the rest of this cold Winter..Thank you for sharing your wonderful revamps. Nice. :0)
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully charming transformation!! I love the wall paper!! So pretty! Did you have to do any special prep to the countertop before applying the epoxy paint and did you use a brush or sponge rollers to put it on??? Do you think that you would be able to use the paint in a sink because my vanity tops are all one piece with the sink???Thanks so much for sharing!!
Hugs,
Deb

You did a terrific job with that bathroom. The bigger mirror is definitely an improvement. I love big mirrors, especially since I live in a small place.
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom look gorgeous. Love that wallpaper.
