New Buffet and Special Garden Cupcakes

On our trip I found this little beauty.  She was rough and has had a hard life but with those beautiful legs I starred at her for awhile and thought I can make her pretty again.
I brought her home.

As you can see her doors had deep markings and the wood was dry and faded.

Now she has a pretty new life.

I got this old salvage shelf back from my daughter's house.  Thought it would look good above the new buffet.

The clock Terry made for me out of an old salvage piece of door.
I just love to give new purpose to old pieces that were ready to be discarded.

Very cloudy rain filled day when I took these pics.  It is bright and white and looks pretty against my shiplap wall.
Now the hunt is on to style it.  I threw a few things up on the shelf for pictures.
I am hoping to find some fun things to place on the shelf.  Maybe even a sign above the shelf.
The hunt is on!

Have a great rest of the week.
I know I am not posting as much as I have in the past.  With living small now I am not making as many new changes like I did in my cottage homes.

I want to continue to blog to keep the friendships and connections I have made over the past 14 years of
blogging.

I know a lot of the bloggers that I started with have now gone over to Instagram and FB for one picture posts.

I am not that person.  I like to tell the story of the blog post and feel more connected with your comments instead of a thumbs up or heart on my picture posted.

I will post on occasion and hopefully with something that would interest you.

Have a great week.
Hugs,
Kris

PS: Are these cupcakes not the cutest.  They look like real flowers.  I found a lady that lives near me to make these for a special birthday dinner I recently had for a friend.

I am having an up coming get together of friends in a few weeks.
I ordered more of these beautiful cupcakes for the
party.

I hope to show you the cute favors I am giving each of the girls.
Hugs,
Kris

  13. Kris, love the new little lady. She is beautiful with gorgeous lines. That Terry is so talented. Love to see all things beautiful that he comes up with. I can understand about blogging. I love it so much and love sharing the stories with everyone but it is becoming harder for me to come up with anything interesting. I would hate to lose the friendships that are made but notice that we are losing more all the time. I hope that we can keep going and I'm trying really hard to hang on. I am having trouble with my photos now and it gets very frustrating..Meanwhile, have a wonderful and productive summer. Those cupcakes are so beautiful. What a talented baker..xxoJudy

  14. The buffet is absolutely stunning! Well done! The cupcakes are to die for - the baker has such talent!! As for blogging, so many have left or slowed down and I agree. with you about IG - i enjoy posting just a pic with a few words, but its not like blogging where we could have stories to read and connections to make!
